As far as the definition to my words is concerned,
metacommunication can be defined as all nonverbal cues
experienced by different people. Some of the
metacommunications experienced by people include; tone of
voice, gestures, facial expression and body language. On
matters related to the facial expression, it can be used to show
the feelings of the people involved in an incident. However,
different people should be encouraged to understand the use of
the metacommunication in ensuring that the society is able to
operate in an effective manner. Again, gestures can be used in
ensuring that communication is enhanced amongst different
people. The use of gestures plays important roles in ensuring
that different ideas are shared in the best way possible (Hazari,
2019).
On the other hand, evaluative communication can be used for
the purposes of causing defensiveness by ensuring that
judgment is passed. It is through that whereby majority of the
people are enabled to focus on the problem experienced hence
making it easy for the right solution to be found. The ability of
people to focus on the problem can be used in ensuring that the
required solution is identified therefore reducing the issues
experienced by the people. However, majority of people should
be encouraged to engage in evaluative communication for the
purposes of ensuring that the solution to the issues experienced
is found (Ma, 2020).

Running Head: MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY 1
MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY 3
Title: MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY
Student’s Name:
Institution:
My first term I chose is matrilocal family. However, matrilocal
family is a family whereby the husband goes to live with the
family of the wife. This is a culture which allows the man to
move to live with the mother and the father in law. As a result,
the man is required to change his social life their living
according to the cultures of the parents in law (Brown, 2020).
As far as the episode is concerned, the man had to go and hence
live with the female’s family. It is through that whereby the
man was required to change his lifestyle and hence adapt the
live from the female’s family. Moreover, when not controlled,
matrilocal family might end up bringing about conflicts amongst
the people and their care has to be taken so as to ensure that the
cases of misunderstanding are not experienced.
On the other hand, conjugal family is the other term which
should be considered in different aspects. However, this is a
term in which the marred couple as well as their children lives
together. The marriage relationship between the people ensures
that they are brought together for the purposes of ensuring that
they work towards ensuring that they understand different
cultures.
Moreover, conjugal family is applied in the episode in that the
family adopted a child who was later married. However, this
helped in ensuring that the family is complete therefore making
it easy for the members to share ideas in the expected manner.
The demonstration of this term in the episode has been clear
because the family was forced to adopt a child (Ikamari, 2020).

Running Head: MODERN FAMILY 1
MODERN FAMILY 3
Title: MODERN FAMILY
Student’s Name:
Institution:
According to the "Modern Family” cultural different were
experienced therefore affecting the manner in which the
children in the family were raised. The family members came
from different cultures and therefore brought negative impacts
to the lives of the children. The children having been brought in
a gay family decided to get married and hence form families
which are opposite to their parents’ families (Bhandari, 2020).
According to episode 1 of the series, the parents impacted the
lives of their children through the manner in which they carried
out different activities. There are different key terms used in the
episode which are of importance in the manner in which they
are used. Some of the key terms from the series include;
matrilocal and conjugal family. The key terms helped in
ensuring that the nature of the family is described in the best
way possible therefore enabling the readers to understand the
series accordingly.
I am choosing matrilocal and conjugal family as my two key
terms. It is through the key terms whereby I will be able to
understand the different families experienced by different
people in the entire world. However, this will play important
roles in ensuring that I understand the cultures of the people
hence making it easy for me to relate well with the other
members of the public. My ability to understand the key terms
will again help in ensuring that I am able to understand the
cultures of the people in the expected manner. For the society to
be successful, the members of the public should be able to
respect the cultures of the other people therefore reducing the
cases of misunderstanding amongst the people (Mushy, 2020).

FIVE GREAT COMMUNICATION TIPS 3
Title: FIVE GREAT COMMUNICATION TIPS
Student’s Name:
Institution:
As far as I am concerned, I like socializing with other people.
This enables me to acquire different ideas on the manner in
which different tasks should be carried out. When socializing, I
am encouraged to solve the conflicts between different people
therefore ensuring that the cases of misunderstanding are
reduced. My dislikes are that I do not like conflicts and
negativities due to the fact that they affect my performance
negatively. The important aspect of my life is that I like unity
as it ensures that different issues are addressed (Lanz, 2020).
There are different times of the week we could possible meet
over Skype hence ensuring that different aspects are concepts
are discussed in the best way possible. I preferred the use of
Skype as it helped in ensuring that the cases of time wastage are
reduced and the members encouraged to share ideas effectively.
Due to the online nature of the class, we have never been able
to meet my group but ideas could be shared through the phone.
The phone communication plays important roles in ensuring that
the group members are reached within the shortest time possible
(Ramani, 2020). The deadlines to the group work are firm and
therefore all the group members are required to take part in the
completion of the tasks. I like beginning working on my work
two days before the submission date of the tasks. My
expectations for what is acceptable are that members should
unite for the tasks to be completed in the expected time.
Based on the simplicity of the Blackboard I am being asked to
use, I do not have questions about the tools to be used. This is
due to my familiarity with the blackboard. On the other hand,
the orientation describing my leadership style is orientation
based leadership. However, I agree with the description as it
enabled me to understand everything in detail (Talbot, 2020).

  • 1. Running Head: CREATING A GROUP WIKI 1 CREATING A GROUP WIKI 3 Title: CREATING A GROUP WIKI Student’s Name: Institution: As far as the definition to my words is concerned, metacommunication can be defined as all nonverbal cues experienced by different people. Some of the metacommunications experienced by people include; tone of voice, gestures, facial expression and body language. On matters related to the facial expression, it can be used to show the feelings of the people involved in an incident. However, different people should be encouraged to understand the use of the metacommunication in ensuring that the society is able to operate in an effective manner. Again, gestures can be used in ensuring that communication is enhanced amongst different people. The use of gestures plays important roles in ensuring
  • 2. that different ideas are shared in the best way possible (Hazari, 2019). On the other hand, evaluative communication can be used for the purposes of causing defensiveness by ensuring that judgment is passed. It is through that whereby majority of the people are enabled to focus on the problem experienced hence making it easy for the right solution to be found. The ability of people to focus on the problem can be used in ensuring that the required solution is identified therefore reducing the issues experienced by the people. However, majority of people should be encouraged to engage in evaluative communication for the purposes of ensuring that the solution to the issues experienced is found (Ma, 2020). Running Head: MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY 1 MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY 3 Title: MATRILOCAL AND CONJUGAL FAMILY Student’s Name:
  • 3. Institution: My first term I chose is matrilocal family. However, matrilocal family is a family whereby the husband goes to live with the family of the wife. This is a culture which allows the man to move to live with the mother and the father in law. As a result, the man is required to change his social life their living according to the cultures of the parents in law (Brown, 2020). As far as the episode is concerned, the man had to go and hence live with the female’s family. It is through that whereby the man was required to change his lifestyle and hence adapt the live from the female’s family. Moreover, when not controlled, matrilocal family might end up bringing about conflicts amongst the people and their care has to be taken so as to ensure that the cases of misunderstanding are not experienced. On the other hand, conjugal family is the other term which should be considered in different aspects. However, this is a term in which the marred couple as well as their children lives together. The marriage relationship between the people ensures that they are brought together for the purposes of ensuring that they work towards ensuring that they understand different cultures. Moreover, conjugal family is applied in the episode in that the family adopted a child who was later married. However, this helped in ensuring that the family is complete therefore making it easy for the members to share ideas in the expected manner. The demonstration of this term in the episode has been clear
  • 4. because the family was forced to adopt a child (Ikamari, 2020). References Brown, N., McIlwraith, T., & de González, L. T. (2020). Family and Marriage. Perspectives: An Open Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, 2nd Edition. Ikamari, L., & Agwanda, A. (2020). Changes in Families and Households in East Africa. In Family Demography and Post- 2015 Development Agenda in Africa (pp. 259-285). Springer, Cham. Running Head: MODERN FAMILY 1 MODERN FAMILY 3 Title: MODERN FAMILY Student’s Name: Institution: According to the "Modern Family” cultural different were experienced therefore affecting the manner in which the children in the family were raised. The family members came
  • 5. from different cultures and therefore brought negative impacts to the lives of the children. The children having been brought in a gay family decided to get married and hence form families which are opposite to their parents’ families (Bhandari, 2020). According to episode 1 of the series, the parents impacted the lives of their children through the manner in which they carried out different activities. There are different key terms used in the episode which are of importance in the manner in which they are used. Some of the key terms from the series include; matrilocal and conjugal family. The key terms helped in ensuring that the nature of the family is described in the best way possible therefore enabling the readers to understand the series accordingly. I am choosing matrilocal and conjugal family as my two key terms. It is through the key terms whereby I will be able to understand the different families experienced by different people in the entire world. However, this will play important roles in ensuring that I understand the cultures of the people hence making it easy for me to relate well with the other members of the public. My ability to understand the key terms will again help in ensuring that I am able to understand the cultures of the people in the expected manner. For the society to be successful, the members of the public should be able to respect the cultures of the other people therefore reducing the cases of misunderstanding amongst the people (Mushy, 2020). • 6. Running Head: FIVE GREAT COMMUNICATION TIPS 1 FIVE GREAT COMMUNICATION TIPS 3 Title: FIVE GREAT COMMUNICATION TIPS Student’s Name: Institution: As far as I am concerned, I like socializing with other people. This enables me to acquire different ideas on the manner in which different tasks should be carried out. When socializing, I am encouraged to solve the conflicts between different people therefore ensuring that the cases of misunderstanding are reduced. My dislikes are that I do not like conflicts and negativities due to the fact that they affect my performance negatively. The important aspect of my life is that I like unity as it ensures that different issues are addressed (Lanz, 2020). There are different times of the week we could possible meet over Skype hence ensuring that different aspects are concepts are discussed in the best way possible. I preferred the use of Skype as it helped in ensuring that the cases of time wastage are reduced and the members encouraged to share ideas effectively.
  • 7. Due to the online nature of the class, we have never been able to meet my group but ideas could be shared through the phone. The phone communication plays important roles in ensuring that the group members are reached within the shortest time possible (Ramani, 2020). The deadlines to the group work are firm and therefore all the group members are required to take part in the completion of the tasks. I like beginning working on my work two days before the submission date of the tasks. My expectations for what is acceptable are that members should unite for the tasks to be completed in the expected time. Based on the simplicity of the Blackboard I am being asked to use, I do not have questions about the tools to be used. This is due to my familiarity with the blackboard. On the other hand, the orientation describing my leadership style is orientation based leadership. However, I agree with the description as it enabled me to understand everything in detail (Talbot, 2020). References Lanz, L. H., Ferrari, M., Mody, M., & Edition, S. (2020).
