Work/ Experience
Aim Altitude as a Planning Engineer – 11/2017-Present
Plan the manufacture of high end aircraftinteriors which involves receivingand interpretingengineering
drawings from the design office, entering the projects bill of materialsonto the system for other
departments such as purchasingto access, and generatingthe route card narrativefor shop floor to follow
in order to manufacture projects in a costsavingway. This rolehas taught me how to useMRP systems
and trace products/items all the way through the valuechain. I am also required to liaisewith design
about any errors found in drawings,in order to minimisethe risk of errors being found at a later date
which would costthe business a lotmore to rectify.
Warwick Manufacturing Group – 2017 (Full time internship)
WMG has provided me with a rolein which I can use the knowledge of my Honours to directly cutcosts in
manufacturingoperations in small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). This involves scheduling site
visits to meet relevant personnel and assess currentprocess efficiency by performing walk arounds to see
where value can be added and where waste can be removed, via Lean Manufacturingmethod and Quality
techniques. I have also been partof an innovation programwhere SMEs current products, services and
operations aredefined, and then new ideas aregenerated to in order to gain a competitive edge. This
program supports new innovation ideas fromgeneration all theway to deployment. Duringmy time at
WMG I have needed to prioritiseworkload over a number of different projects at once, which has required
strong communication skillsin order to organisesitevisitsaround one-another whilstensuringI have
enough time to complete the required workload to bringsome valueadded work back to each company.
2. FlexEJ – 08/2015-09/2016 (Industryplacement)
Worked on numerous projects over the courseof 13 months in which mainly comprised of Computer -
Aided Design work involving Original Equipment Manufacture design. I also worked on a project, involving
mathematic functions to calculatewall temperature of thermal expansion joints dependingon user
inputted variables, usingExcel, which further improved my IT skills.I worked on some individual in-house
improvement activities for better valuedelivery as well which involved two-way contact with shop-floor
workers. This often involved switchingbetween different scheduled projects to reduce wasted time in
waitingfor supplier materials,or customer feedback on design revisions.
Dominos Pizza Hythe as a Shift Manager – 12/2010-09/2013(Permanent)

extended use duringan industrial placement, particularly usingSolidworks.I havealso self-taught
myself Autodesk Revit, a BuildingInformation Modellingsoftware, which has been put into use
via a previous employer uploadingmodels I have made availableto download.
Some use of Finite Element Analysis,Computational Fluid Dynamicsand CAM software in
university assignments.
Component MicrosoftOfficeuser in Word,Excel, PowerPoint and some use of Access, from use
at education level sinceGCSE and throughout employment.
Piezoelectric system knowledge from my dissertation topic. This involved research into energy
harvestingtechniques and how cantilevered beams can be optimised in order to increaseenergy
harvestingefficiency across a piezoelectric element.
ProgramingusingC+ and Python from a second year course module.
Experience in usingmachinevision systems and programmingrobot arms duringa final year
automation and robotics project.
Studied the design process atlength.

such as:skiing, snowboarding, squash and swimming. After I finished playingin the football team I helped
coach a younger team for a couple of seasons, which has turned out very successful.I havealso acquired
competent computer and IT skills. SincegraduatingI havetaken an interest in programming and are learning
how to code usingHTML and Javascript. Some of my more recent interests has been re-learninghow to play
the guitar, learningaboutcryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and teachingmyself how to program.
I am also keen on findingopportunities to travel should they arise.
