3. Why I have chosen these Images?
• I have chosen these images because I believe they all relate to the hip hop
community and they relate well to the people involved in this culture. For example
Hip Hop artists and listeners are very fashion orientated and centre their lives
around their image against other artists. I chose a picture of the Nike Dunk Low
Pro’s as these are a shoe made from Brooklyn and this is a project shoe related
towards Hip hop and its effect in Brooklyn. I also chose a picture with a black man
and a white man shaking hands suggesting that they are united when they are
from the Hip Hop world. Dancing and street movement plays a massive part in the
Hip Hop community and I chose the images of a dancer and graffiti to suggest how
these dancers will dance anywhere as they don’t need a studio to learn moves
they will learn all their moves on the graffiti slums of America and this represents
the community very well.
