2. My target audience
• The target audience for this genre will be
teenagers and young adults ages 16-25
• These are my target audiences due to the fact
they listen to this type of music a lot.
3. How my artists will be represented
• The artists will be represented in an urban
culture by this I mean they will have back
stories to how they used to be average young
people from poor backgrounds who wanted to
change their lives.
• The clothing will be related to the forms and
tones of hip hop and how other artists have
been shown to wear in hip hop music videos.
4. Which conventions will I follow
• The conventions I will follow will be with the style of
costuming: Gold chains,
• As I am using male artists in my magazine they will be
represented by wearing hooded coats and baggy trousers and
t-shirts. This is commonly represented a lot in the hip hop
culture.
• The masthead will be in red font because this is seen a lot in
hip hop magazines as well as have my artist wear something
designer or outstanding that the audience can admire them.
