2. Scene 1- Piccadilly Re-film
We have decided to re-film the Piccadilly Circus footage that we captured on our day two of filming.
The main reason for this is due to the bad weather that was in the scene. It was not only raining but
also came out as very dark and gloomy which did not suit the rest of the video’s theme as we are trying
to keep all scenes as light as possible. This is in order to enforce the happy nature of our video. The
footage looked out of place when our editor compared it to the rest of the scenes we had filmed so
suggested that it would be beneficial to re-film it. Also Our actors performance looked a bit serious in
the original footage, and this time round we hope to have more upbeat acting. Due to this as we are
going to have to film in London again anyway we thought we would try and make it look better this
time, especially as the weather is forecasted to be sunnier. This time round we are going to try to
incorporate a different type of cinematography into the scene by have Hussain (The main actor) slap
the camera causing it to spin around, towards the big screens where George will be edited on. This is
due to after reviewing out footage we have recognised that there is a lack of creative shots.
3. Scene 2-Neils Yard
Our second scene we need to film is in the location of Neil's Yard. As a group we believed that we
needed to have more colour in our music video especially as we are focusing on keeping the video very
bright. In order to achieve this all four of us begun researching colourful places in London and one
that caught the groups Eye was Neil's Yard. We decided to film in this location over others as it is
outdoors so we will also have the sun to brighten the scene. It is full of colours with plants, pots and
actual houses consisting of colours such as yellow, orange, blue, green and red. Furthermore it was
ideal for what we were looking for. This scene we plan t use a different shot once again of a low angle
so the audience can Cleary see the colourful houses as a mid shot would eliminate many of the
colours. Neil's Yard footage we fill the times of 1.26-1.31 of our music video so we have to film a total of
5 seconds worth of footage. However we will film around 30 seconds of footage here so it makes it
easier for our editor and gives us footage to fill in other parts of the video with.
4. Scene 3- South bank Skate Park
Also when researching colourful paces that we could film, one of our group members suggested the
South bank Skate Park. As you can see from the picture below the graffiti in the skate park creates
massive amounts of colour which we intend to have in the background of one of our scenes. We plan
to use the skate park in the times of 0.45-0.49. This is only a short scene but we plan to use animations
to make it effective. The lyrics at this part of the song are “ambition has vanished” and furthermore
we plan to add a smoke effect onto the end of the scene to make it appear as if our actors has
vanished. We plan to have Hussain throw his hand up at the camera, as if he is throwing th smoke at
the camera. The scene will the end and go into the part of the video. The only problem we may
encounter with this location is if the skate park is busy. Obviously if there are multiple skaters present
it may be difficult for us to film there, however it is very close to Neil's Yard so we could always go to
film Neil's Yard and then return later in hope it is more quiet.
5. Scene 4- St James Park
We did not choose this location out of search for more colour for our video but instead for somewhere
which may be a bit quieter in London where we can find a isolated bit to film. This is due to us
wanting to film a few hyper/joyful bits where our actors are generally just mucking around reinforcing
the theme of happiness and youthfulness. St James Park is very close once again to our other locations
so it is very convenient to film here. The group feels as if we just need some footage that has no
particular relevance or theme but instead just fun. To do this we plan to have our two actors perform
and improvise while in the park, kicking leaves about, dancing etc. They will also hopefully have more
energy portrayed as there will be less people around so furthermore they will be less shy. We plan to
have them perform to the whole song while in the park in order to ensure we can salvage some footage
if we need to fill in any parts of the video as the lip-syncing will fit. This will once again make it a lot
easier for our editor to make sure the video runs smoothly with not parts looking as if they do not fit
the song.
6. Scene 5- Kings Cross Light Tunnel
Our final scene we have to film on Our day 5 of Filming is at the location of Kings Cross Light Tunnel.
This is a connecting tunnel at Kings cross station to the underground. It has led Screens as walls and
displays multiple colours that consistently change. Again we hope this will help to add some colour to
our music video. We plan to have our two actors performing once in front of the screens to fill in the
times of 1.02-1.10 where you will only see their upper body. We also want to film a second scene here
which will be in the times of 2.21-2.28 but instead of just standing in front of the screens we want
them walking down the tunnel so the audience can clearly see all the different colours rather then just
the one if they were standing in front of a single screen.
