3. Singing scenes
Originally, the singing scenes in our music video were going to consist of
the person acting as the singer (Emma) sitting at a table whilst lip syncing.
As a group, we have since decided that it would be more interesting for the
audience if we used more than one location for the singing scenes. These
locations include stairs, a stage and outside locations. These locations are
reliable because they are usually always available to use.
5. Bullying scene
A corridor within school is the location we are going to use for the bullying
scene. We chose this location because we need a set of lockers so that the
person being bullied can fall against them when being pushed over by the
bully. The stereotypical image of a person being bullied is a school child so
by using a school corridor, it will make the scene look realistic and by
having the lockers included in the shot, the audience will be able to
identify that the scene is taking place within a school.
7. Inequality Scene
Our inequality scene will be based on a gay pride march. We chose this outside
area as our location for this scene because after researching into gay pride
marches we found that they are typically held outside. Therefore, by using an area
outside and in the open the scene will look more realistic. Although using a
location that’s outside would conform to the stereotypical view of a gay pride
march, a problem that will arise when shooting the scene will be the weather. This
is because our signs we have made for this scene are made of cardboard and paint
so if it rains they will be damaged. Also, the camera lens would get wet if it rained.
To overcome this problem, we will have to check the weather in advance to make
sure we shoot the scene on a dry day.
9. War and Conflict Scene
The final theme in our music video is war and conflict scene and this scene
will show two characters sitting down and looking at a projection of
pictures and videos of the devastation in Syria caused by the civil war
taking place there. For this scene, we needed a location with tables and a
projector because whilst our characters are watching the scenes on the
projector, they need to be sitting down at tables. We decided to use the
media room in our school because it’s quite a small room that has a big
projector on one of the walls and some tables facing it.
