2. How did you attract/address your audience?

3. To attract my audience on my front cover I
put a title saying “free posters included
inside” this will attract the audience
because they are at a youngish age and
free stuff with appeal to them. Also on my
front cover I have included a model that is
young and stylish as the readers will be
drawn towards him as they feel they can
relate to him. I have made my artist new
and popular as this shows how up-to-date
my magazine is.

4. Despite the most popular artist tend
to be pop genre I couldn’t just put the
most famous person on the front
cover because this would show that
my magazine doesn’t fit with the
genre. So because of this I have
included the most popular artist from
the indie genre. For example I used
the 1975 and Jamie T. This means the
audience can keep up to date with
what is going on with the artists and
read about there favourite artist all in
one place.

5. On my contents page I have put the
charts. I have done this so that my
readers can see what music is
popular at the moment. Also I have
done this because I feel that for
young people now days it is very
important to keep up with that is
popular.

6. My model is someone my
readers can look up to and as I
said before to relate to. To do
this I used my friend Alex who
in later life wants to be a
model so therefore has had a
lot of practice. This means that
the model looked young and
the readers wouldn’t feel
intimidated by him. This makes
it easier for the readers to
understand the artist rather
than someone much older.

7. I used langue that my age range would feel comfortable with.
I used small words so it didn’t feel like a task reading my
magazine. Because my age range is quite young but till
mature I used a little bit of slang but not lots this makes it
homely and informal. Also this would help them relate to the
artist more as it would feel like more of a conversation rather
than the artist just speaking at them. The information is more
like gossip. This makes it so the reader feels involved and
comfortable reading the magazine.
