GRADEBOOK
  NOTE: BLACKBOARD WILL LIKELY SHOW YOU YOUR SCORE OUT OF COMPLETED
WORK, NOT THE TOTAL IN THE COURSE. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU TOOK TWO TESTS
WORTH 50 POINTS AND YOU SCORED A 40 ON BOTH, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE AN
80% SHOWING (80 POINTS OUT OF 100 POINTS). THE SYSTEM IS SHOWING WHAT YOU
LITERALLY EARNED ON THE WORK COMPLETED, BUT DOESN'T REFLECT THE
TOTALITY OF POINTS IN THE COURSE. SO IF THE COURSE TOTAL WAS 500 POINTS
FOR 10 ASSIGNMENTS, THEN TECHNICALLY, YOU'VE GOT A 16% IN THE COURSE (80
OUT OF 500 POINTS TOTAL), WHICH IS AN F INSTEAD OF AN A IN THE WHOLE
COURSE (80 OUT OF ONLY 100 POINTS IS FOR 2 TESTS, NOT ALL 10 ASSIGNMENTS). 
The “My Grades” tab contains all the assignments for the course and
shows the overall grade as it is calculated.

contribution to the overall grade in the course.
•The final exam (and midterm if applicable) will be weighed heavier

INADEQUATE CITATIONS THAT LEAVES ME NO WAY OF DISTINGUISHING WHAT

  • 11. GRADEBOOK   NOTE: BLACKBOARD WILL LIKELY SHOW YOU YOUR SCORE OUT OF COMPLETED WORK, NOT THE TOTAL IN THE COURSE. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU TOOK TWO TESTS WORTH 50 POINTS AND YOU SCORED A 40 ON BOTH, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE AN 80% SHOWING (80 POINTS OUT OF 100 POINTS). THE SYSTEM IS SHOWING WHAT YOU LITERALLY EARNED ON THE WORK COMPLETED, BUT DOESN'T REFLECT THE TOTALITY OF POINTS IN THE COURSE. SO IF THE COURSE TOTAL WAS 500 POINTS FOR 10 ASSIGNMENTS, THEN TECHNICALLY, YOU'VE GOT A 16% IN THE COURSE (80 OUT OF 500 POINTS TOTAL), WHICH IS AN F INSTEAD OF AN A IN THE WHOLE COURSE (80 OUT OF ONLY 100 POINTS IS FOR 2 TESTS, NOT ALL 10 ASSIGNMENTS).  The “My Grades” tab contains all the assignments for the course and shows the overall grade as it is calculated. •Each assignment is weighted individually and will show it’s contribution to the overall grade in the course. •The final exam (and midterm if applicable) will be weighed heavier than the other assignments in the course. •Contact your instructor if you find discrepancies.
