The Big Issue of Climate Change and Global Warming Essay
Climate Change and Global Warming Climate change and Global warming is a big issue in the
world today. One big thing is the Greenhouse Effect. The Greenhouse Effect is the capturing of the
sun's warmth in the planet's lower atmosphere due to the greater transparency of the atmosphere to
visible radiation from the sun than to infrared radiation given off from the planet's surface.
Greenhouse gases affect the temperature here on Earth by sunlight hitting the Earth. Then, carbon
dioxide reflects the heat from the sun and traps the heat, keeping it on the Earth causing a rise in
temperature. Global climate change means that there is a rise in temperatures on Earth. Statists say
that the average temperatures around the world have climbed ... Show more content on

Global warming effects Maine in a lot of different ways. Lobstering is really big in Maine. It takes
up to seven years for a lobster to grow to be legally harvestable. To grow, they shed their old shell
and start growing a new one. This usually happens in the middle to late summer, but warming
waters in the Gulf of Maine are thought to be causing an earlier shed, which can cause problems for
the flow to market. Also being one of the nation's most forested state, Maine is expected to be
effected a lot within the next decade. Some trees will flourish, others will disappear. Maine forests
are getting wetter and warmer and more susceptible to different diseases and harmful pests. Animal
populations are also effected by global climate change. Animals who are used to colder weather are
now finding themselves in temperatures that aren't suitable for them. Species are traveling to
accommodate to their needs. The Kyoto protocol is the first legally binding treaty aimed at cutting
emissions of the main greenhouse gases believed to contribute to global warming. In 1997 world
leaders adopted the Kyoto Protocol. It required rich countries to reduce their greenhouse gas
production to 5.2%, or below the 1990 levels. The

Poverty Is A Very Big Issue Affecting Other Societies
Poverty is a very big issue affecting various societies in the world. A country can be developed or
underdeveloped and still have peoples suffering from poverty According to oxford dictionaries,
poverty is the "the state of being extremely poor" ("Poverty", n.d). Poverty can be seen as a negative
thing to the society because, it means not having the necessities of life, not being able to get the
appropriate education, not having a place to call home and so many other effects. It can be
experienced by so many demographics including children. Child poverty is vital because, it deals
with children who are so delicate and need a lot of care and love. According to UNICEF (2004),
"Children living in poverty experience deprivation of the material, spiritual and emotional resources
needed to survive, develop and thrive, leaving them unable to enjoy their rights, achieve their full
potential or participate as full and equal members of society" ("State of the world's children:
Childhood under threat," 2004). This paper would be focusing on child poverty in Afghanistan,
causes, effects and ways in which organizations can be of help to them. Afghanistan is a country in
South Asia which is going through so many crises right now, in which child poverty is one of them.
"Afghanistan is a country considered to be among the most dangerous place for children to be born"
("Afghanistan," n.d). So many children have been left homeless and orphaned because of the war.

Big Issues, Jobs, Prices, And Economic State
Three big issues; jobs, prices, and economic state. Within the economy of Longview, jobs, prices,
and the economic state as a whole are huge issues. Bringing a Costco into town would not only
provide a new, growing, and better job environment but also, the price of using everyday items
would decrease, and those two things combined would lead to an improved economic state, within
the Longview/Kelso area. People complain daily about the lack of jobs here in Longview and the
cost of simply needed items. Building a Costco in the Longview/Kelso area, would eliminate those
three issues; lack of quality jobs, cost of goods, and our economic state. WHY DON'T WE HAVE
ONE? Roughly, two hundred and fifty quality jobs would be available to people ... Show more

Getting a Costco Wholesale in Longview, would create a better economy and a healthier country
(Peterson). Craig Jelinek, the CEO of Costco Wholesale, maintains a ninety–two percent approval
rating from not only his employees but his executives (Peterson). This shows that Costco would
create not only more jobs here in Longview/Kelso but good sustainable jobs. He believes that, "If
you treat consumers and employees with respect, good things will happen" (Stone). This shows
immensely when simply walking through a Costco. As a costumer of Costco, people notice that
employees of this corporation always have a smile on their face. One employee even said, "I am
grateful to come and work here everyday" (Stone). Happy employees mean effective workers, and
that is shown on each face in the warehouse. Statistics show that only less than five percent of
employees leave after working there a year and less than one percent leave in the executive branches
(Stone). Employees that work at Costco are happy to be there and potentially can get an even better
job inside the corporation. It is said that Costco likes to hire executives from the inside. Seventy
percent of the executives at Costco were once warehouse workers (Stone). This means that anyone
that gets a job there has a seventy percent chance to move up in the ranks of the company, make
more money, stay there longer, and

School Is Never A Big Issue For Me
School was never a big issue for me. That could have been because my parents chose to put me in
the public school system for my academic career. In grade school, I went to Kyrene de la Esperanza
and then off to Centennial Middle School. After Centennial, I then attended Mountain Pointe High
School. All three of these schools are in the Ahwatukee area (where I grew up and currently live.)
During school, I was the average student that did not talk much. Depending on the day I would raise
my hand for the easy questions but usually I just listened. As a student, I tried to get "good grades."
But that wasn't always the case.
Every person has strengths and weaknesses in school. Some of my strengths are english, biology,
choir(music theory), and history. My favorite has always been biology and music theory. Biology
interested me and inspired me to look into a degree with it. After researching the different degrees, I
ended up changing my mind. Math is a giant struggle for me. In high school, I ended up dropping
Pre–Calculus for an easier math because I was barely passing. For as long as I can remember, math
has always been my worst subject. It was a miracle if I passed with a B. As a child, I struggled with
making friends. I was always the shy one that did not talk much. While growing up that changed
quite a bit. I opened up more and became less shy. Another struggle that I have is anxiety. I tend to
take on too much and I end up overwhelming myself. I'm not really sure why I

Global Warming Is A Big Issue
We live on a beautiful planet, and it can be the only planet out there that's this beautiful. We have
beautiful ocean, gorgeous creatures, and wonderful places and if we want to keep it like that we
have to stop polluting the earth. This planet is the only planet that we know that has life on it and
this planet is are home and we have to keep it clean. Global Warming is a big issue, some people
might say it doesn't affect them but in reality it effects everyone. The amount of dumping, polluting
we do on this planet is going to take effect a lot sooner then we think and when it does we might be
done for. Life is precious and we live on this beautiful planet and if we keep polluting on this
beautiful planet we are going to lose this planet and are lives. Global Warming effects everyone, no
matter who you are or what you do, you will be effected by global warming. Those that live near sea
will be the first to be effected by the change of the planet. Sea level will rise and the islands that are
habitable, the people on those island will lose their home because there island will be underwater.

Health and Disease Sub Topic–Cancer Group Name– The Big C Issues for investigation: How does
getting diagnosed with cancer effect teenagers' lifestyle? Do rates of teenager cancer vary between
countries? What ways are teenagers with cancer and their families supported? Choice of Topic and
Rationale Our rationale demonstrates the issue of teenage cancer and also the impact on family and
friends. Research informs us that Teenagers who 've survived childhood cancers may be more likely
than their siblings to be depressed or anxious, have attention problems or show antisocial
behaviours. A report published by Reuters Health also shared that based on questionnaires given to
parents of nearly 3,000 former cancer patients, teenage survivors were 50 percent more likely to
suffer from depression or anxiety symptoms than their siblings. They were also 70 percent more
likely to show antisocial behavior, such as problems getting along with their peers. In New Zealand
we have an organisation called Canteen. Their mission is to support, develop and empower young
people living with cancer. One of the ways they do this is through their recreational and educational

The Criminal Justice System Is A Big Issue Faced By The...
Racism in the U.S. criminal justice system is a big issue faced by the nation. This prejudice is
strongly expressed today in its massive incarceration rate among minorities. People of color are
being targeted by a bias system created by people with a bias mindset. This has resulted in African
Americans representing about 35% of the jail population and 37% of the prison population despite
only being 12% of the total U.S. population (Carson, 2015). According to The Sentencing Project
(2013):
By creating and perpetuating policies that allow such racial disparities to exist in its criminal justice
system, the United States is in violation of its obligations under Article 2 and Article 26 of the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to ensure that all its citizens–regardless of race–
are treated equally under the law. (p. 2)
The ethnic structure of the prison populace in the United States is very different from the rest of the
population of the nation. It can easily be stated that the American criminal justice system is
fundamentally racist. Unfortunately the racial inequality in the criminal justice system is not talked
about enough because it does not affect most people.
This intense and vivid presentation of people with an ethnic background in the justice system
discloses a conflict between America's thoughts towards legal equality for everyone and a tendency
to arrest ethnic minorities. The hard reality and fact is that people of color get arrested more often

Social Issues In I Am Malala
Malala Yousafzai is the youngest person to have ever won the Nobel Peace Prize, one of only 16
women to have won the prize, and the only woman from Pakistan to have won the prize. Malala
won that prize for standing up for the social issues of Pakistan and almost getting killed for standing
up for what's right. There are several issues going on in Pakistan but more specifically in the valley
of Swat. The social issues going on in Pakistan are gender discrimination, education rights, and
extremism. Gender discrimination is a very big issue in Pakistan, more specifically Malala's village
of Swat, as shown through the book I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai. For example, Rohul Amin,
Malala's grandfather, showed discrimination to his own daughters! The discrimination was shown
on page 29 when Malala states, "School wasn't the only thing my aunts missed out on. In the
morning when my father was given a bowl of cream with his tea, his sisters were given only tea. If
there were eggs, they would only be for the boys. When a chicken was slaughtered for dinner, the
girls would get the wings and the neck while the luscious breast meat was enjoyed by my father, his
brother and my grandfather" (Yousafzai 29), Amin has his own daughters grow up knowing that
they're seen as lesser than which is crazy on so many levels. Therefore, gender discrimination is a
social issue and shown through Rohul Amin's treatment of his daughters. In addition, the murder of
a dancer and singer, Shabana, was

Gun Control A Big Issue Essay
Why is Gun Control a Big Issue? In 1791, our forefathers ratified the second amendment which was
"the right to bear arms" ("Second Amendment"). This amendment was created so that the americans
could protect themselves against the british soldiers. People now have been using guns for all of the
wrong reasons, and in result many lives of innocent people have been taken. Gun control in today's
world has became an enormous issue because many lives have been taken, businesses and innocent
people have been robbed, and the suicide rates have increased. Initially, many lives have been taken
due to the lack of gun control. For example, in 2012 there was a school shooting at Sandy Hook
Elementary School where a man went into the school with a gun and shot 20 children between the
ages of 6 and 7, and eight adults ("Sandy Hook Elementary shooting leaves 28 dead"). This tragedy
is a perfect example because it shows young children's lives being taken away from them due to the
lack of gun control laws. The government should make gun control laws more strict to help prevent
major tragedies such as the "Sandy Hook Shooting", and to save the lives of the people in this
country. "The focus on the impact gun laws have on violent crimes is further under the microscope
because of the recent rise of violent crimes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

There are a lot of people in this country that believe that the guns are not the problem, but that the

not be as high as it is. Innocent people get killed everyday due to the abuse of firearms. Therefore, if

Cheating Is A Big Issue Essay

Assignment #4 Cheating is a big issue in today's world. Students resort to cheating for many
different reasons. Whether they have a lot of work to do or just being very lazy and want to get the
assignment done, students cheat in everyday life. In prestigious schools like Harvard, it was found
that students have admitted to cheating on an assignment or a paper. There have been ways to block
students off from cheating but there are always new ways and solutions to cheat. Surveys have been
taken at many colleges and in every survey taken, the majority was always in favor to students who
have cheated. Cheating has not been a new topic of issue because it has been controversial for a long
time. Surveys taken back then compared to today were similar in the results. In both surveys,
majority of students have admitted to cheating on an assignment or paper. Cheating will not be
stopped because students will not stop and there is no way to prevent students from doing it.
Teachers may block things off to prevent cheating but students will come up with new ways to
cheat. In "Slip Sliding Away Down the Ethical Slope" by Robert J. Sternberg, he explains to the
readers that cheating is not an ethical thing to do. He explains that there is a process to behave
ethically. Sternberg explains that professors expect students to act ethically and that it is a norm that
students should behave and act ethically. He also believes that behaving

Big Data Issues, And Challenges Essay
4.6 Big Data Issues, and Challenges There are many fundamental issue areas that need to be
addressed in dealing with big data: data acquisition, data storage, data transfer, data management,
and data processing. Each of these issues represents a large set of technical research problems and
challenges in its own right. 1. Data acquisition Variety of data sources and the huge volumes of data
make accessing data and data acquisition major issue and big challenge needs more research
attentions. 2. Data Storage As the volume of data has exploded, we have invented a new storage
medium. Moreover, data is being created by everyone and everything Due to the introduction of the
various social media websites which allows users to upload the data in any format. The volume of
the data has increased to the level which is hard to manage. Even with the introduction of the new
disk technologies, the limitation to store data in the single disk can be maximum to few terabytes; so
to process the petabytes or exabytes of the data, large amount of the disks and processor are required
to work in parallel. 3. Data Transfer To transfer the huge amount of data over the network towards
the processing system, it needs a lot of time for transferring the data and processed it. As a result of
this nowadays there are two solutions one is to process the data in the storage location and transmit
only the resulting information so that the network cost can be minimized and data can be process
faster. In

Animal Cruelty: A Big Issue In Society
Animal abuse is a big issue in society. Most animal cruelty is caused by humans. Almost ten million
animals die from animal abuse each year just in the U.S. 60% of those animals are dogs, 18%
involve cats, and 22% involve other animals. Over 250,000 animals fall victim to neglect or
abandonment a year and the person responsible rarely ever gets caught or arrested for what they've
done.
Animal welfare workers in Wales are investigating after a hedgehog was found tied to a tree with a
¨makeshift crucifix¨ of shoelaces. Fortunately, the animal was discovered in time and
survived(Moran). A woman in Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty
after police say a young pit bull chained outside her home was found "frozen solid".

based on my health class last semester obesity has more than doubled in children and tripled in
adolescents in the past 30 years. One of the keys to living a long and happy life is being physically,

the major causes of obesity are and my third point is about the major risk factors of being obese.

Global Warming Is A Big Issue Causing The World
Global Warming is a big issue causing the world to heat up. One of the main causes of global
warming is carbon emission. Carbon emission are at an all–time high and much of it is due to
humans and the burning of fossil fuels. Higher carbon emissions add significantly to the greenhouse
effect and global warming. Climate scientists all agree that the average temperature of earth is
increasing and it is because of us. Every day we burn more and more coal, oil, and gasoline and
those are only a few sources of CO2 emission that we cause every day, which slowly is heating up
the earth. The greenhouse effects explains how gases such as CO2 is being trapped in our
atmosphere and heating it up. The warming from the greenhouse effect is gradual but undeniable
causing things like glaciers, snow peaks, and polar ice caps to melt. Weather pattern are changing
and become more unpredictable and sea levels are slowly rising. This is concerning to many experts,
companies, and countries. In order to even hope for a more promising future we must have massive
changes in legislation, regulation, and find new cleaner energy sources. The world requires a huge
change in how we manage and use our energy. President Obama leads the charge with his plan to
limit the carbon pollution from power plants. This makes the U.S the first to have taken steps to try
to stop global warming by limiting CO2 pollution with the Clean Power Plan (CPP). This has the
potential of speeding up the shift from dirty coal

Illicit drugs have become a big issue in today's society. Many schools feel the need to prevent the

policies vary from school to school; however, they all are testing students involved in extracurricular

this will discourage students from joining sports teams and clubs. Extracurricular activities allow for

making drug testing ineffective. Even though both sides of the argument have opposing viewpoints,
they share some common interests. Both sides agree that the number of students that use illicit drugs

behind why gun control is such a big issue in the world today, and why some people want gun
control and others do not. Through these contrasting opinions on gun control, the world will never

the good things that guns can be used for. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though guns are used for good every day, they are also used for situations that are not good for
our safety or the safety of others. Gun violence continues to rise in places where handguns are
illegal. In the United Kingdom, where hand guns are illegal there are more violent crimes than here
in the United States where handguns are legal. Even though we have less violent crimes, we still
have a major problem with violence. The article "Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence" states,
"On average, thirty–two Americans are murdered with guns every day and one hundred–forty are
treated for a gun assault in an emergency room" ("Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"). So it
shows violent crimes are still a big problem in this country. One of the biggest problems is how
much it affects the children of our country. The author also says, "Youth children which live in the
most rural U.S. counties are as likely to die from a gunshot as those living in the most urban
counties. Rural children die of more gun suicides and unintentional shooting deaths. Urban children
die more often of gun homicides" ("Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"). Reading this fact is
very alarming as children should not be around guns as they are very dangerous to them. Overall,
guns can cause a lot of deaths, but it shows where they are legal there is less violent crimes. Some
people think that guns are not the answer for this society. Actually numbers show criminals will not

Deforestation Is A Big Environmental Issue
Nowadays, deforestation becomes a big environmental issue around the world since forests play
critical roles in many aspects for the life of all the living things. (World Wildlife Fund) There are
many factors that will result in deforestation such as "fires, clear–cutting for agriculture, ranching
and development, unsustainable logging for timber, and degradation due to climate change" (World

World Wildlife Fund states deforestation is a concern especially in tropical rainforests since

society could be and we are still progressing. In a less dramatic tone, social networking is a way to
contact anyone around the world; from friends to strangers. But the big issue is, what is it doing to
our youth and sociaty as a whole. As for our argument we seem to have a case of how good or bad
these types of interactions are. In many cases we have our arguements that truly show how grand
our issue is. Yet as always we tend to latch onto one side. So far social media has done a number of
good things, like the support that female ceos of fortune 500 companies are run by. this gives
woman the power and the edge to want rto acheive in the working world. Buisness woman give
eachother power and streanth to achive success in the work place. Which shows that social

the age of the internet. Before peope could dissapear, and live their lives in question of where are

Analysis Of Television Shows And Peaky Blinders
It is often said that there are two sides to every story. "Peaky Blinders" and "Boardwalk Empire" are
the perfect example of this as they tell essentially the same story through very different lenses.
These two iconic television series tackle the subject of society post World War I, and a soldier's
place in it. Though the details often vary between the two, they share the same core characteristics.
Both are post–war crime dramas, centered around a strong, dignified character, where both are
leaders of his own respective criminal organization. Additionally, both shows are set in the Roaring
Twenties, a time full of reform and evolution. This inherently meant the show would have to address
the social issues during this time–period or lose some sense of credibility. "Peaky Blinders" does a
fantastic job of this by making these social problems a recurring theme in the show. "Boardwalk
Empire", while much subtler in the way it handles social problems, is equally successful.
Because of this, each of these dramas could also be considered a series on social issues post WWI.
Intriguing, engaging, riveting, these descriptions could describe either of these shows; alternatively,
so could slow, tedious, and meticulous. The creators of both set out to create an entertaining,
compelling, and accurate, if sometimes exaggerated and dramatized, series. Both shows were
successful, because the creators were able to take full advantage of the extended production and
screen time that

Is Rbgh A Big Issue In Dairy Cow?
A Monsanto plant was sued in 2009 by residents of the town Sauget, Illinois. The residents claim
that the factories have released PCB, a synthetic, organic chlorine compound derived from biphenyl,
and other toxic chemicals into the town's environment for over 70 years. Monsanto produces rBGH,
which is the hormone that farmers inject into cows to help them produce more milk. This may seem
like a good thing, as it produces more milk, a needed source of calcium, and many other vitamins,
for most people. However, rBGH is a big problem for cows, humans and the environment. The first
reason why rBGH is a big issue is because of the effect it has on cows. The effects of rBGH can

According to Science News, 80 percent of all US feedlot cattle are injected with hormones. Which
means that most milk you're drinking has hormones in it. Which could eventually lead to diseases,

is buying organic milk. There is many other ways to solve the issue of rBGH. Such as feeding cows
natural diets and supporting your local farms that make organic milk. All these things can solve this

Big Brothers Big Sister Ethical Issues
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a national organization that works by connecting children in
need with viable mentors. The core working philosophy of Big Brothers Big Sisters is based on
making one to one relationship between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Little"). Bigs may
help littles with their school work, or teach them new skills such as cooking, cleaning, swimming,
fishing, vehicle maintenance, or anything they can think of valuable. They may also offer a
sympathetic ear or an ally when the little feels alone. But the most important thing is bigs must be
reliable and committed to the highest ethical standards in practices. Many littles have already
experienced abandonment of various types in their lives. So the role model should be the big who
can break that cycle of abandonment and be a steady source of companionship in their ... Show more

Immication : A Big Issue Of Abortion
Today, abortion is a big issue concerning women because for years it has been said that abortion
should be legal. Many people feel aborting an unwanted child, or killing an unwanted child should
be against the law because they don't understand what abortion is, who can receive abortions, and
why people would even choose to get them. I stand for a woman's body is her own to do with
whatever she wants. Therefore, on the topic of abortions, I am pro–choice. Before a person makes a
decision about abortion, they should know exactly what abortion it is and what it involves. To define
abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy, especially
during the first six months. This simply means, inducing birth to kill the fetus before it is carried to
full term. Often times early in a pregnancy, a woman will go to the doctor and they will prescribe a
pill to take orally and doing that will terminate pregnancy. If the woman wants an abortion done
later in a pregnancy, then she must have the baby surgically removed from her body. Sometimes
women do not decide to have an abortion until it is too late to take a pill or have the surgery; then
she will be unable to have the abortion procedure. The first argument is that not everyone is able to
receive an abortion. As I earlier stated, if a woman were too far along into her pregnancy, she would
be considered unable to have an abortion. This leads to a full–term pregnancy and then the child
would

Violence In Schools Is A Big Social Issue That Occurs Almost
Violence in schools is a big social issue that occurs almost everyday throughout the United States.
There is no way to tell when it is going to happen, but when it does, people need to be prepared.
This violence leads to devastating effects on the students, teachers, and families of these kids. Some
violence that occurs within the schools across the United States include physical, mental, or sexual
abuse, theft, vandalism, and, the most common form, fighting and bullying. One form of violence
within schools that doesn't come to mind right away though, is gun violence. Going to a smaller
school in a smaller community, this wasn't a big concern, but it can happen within any school,
anywhere.

While the concern is understandable parents should not be afraid to send their kids to school worried
that something like this will happen. By doing this parents can actually harm the mental health of
their children.
It is also wondered if schools bring about the victimization or if it is brought into them from outside
sources. A study was performed to assess the extent to which high school kids felt threatened or
victimized by a threat or an actual attack using a gun. An anonymous, volunteer survey of 1653
students of both genders was taken inside a high school. 23% of the the student's were categorized
as victims. Therefore, those students have a higher risk of victimization than students who didn't fit
into this category. Some factors that played a role in predicting the levels of victimization were
gender and if they were involved in violent actions outside of school. It is concluded that violence is
brought into the school rather than being provoked or produced by the school.
Children can have psychological effects due to gun violence, both short and long term. Those
exposed to the violence can have effects such as anger, posttraumatic stress disorder, withdrawals,
and desensitization to violence. (Garbarino et al., 2002). Exposure of gun violence to children,
especially those who have been injured due to it, those who have witnessed it, or those who
experience it quite often within the schools are at a greater risk for those negative

Retirement Income Is A Big Issue Essay
Retirement income is a big issue in most developed countries. In the years past, it was not
uncommon for elderly to live with and be supported by younger relatives therefore reducing the
need for income. Although this is still customary in many parts of the world such as Asia, it is
becoming more normal for our older population to still continue to live an independent lifestyle.
Aging populations also reiterate the need for retirement plans. Where the normal average life
expectancy for males in the 1950s was only sixty–seven and seventy–one for females, it's now
common for women to live for an average of eighty–three years with men slightly behind at
seventy–nine years (Statistics New Zealand). By 2036, it is expected that between twenty–one and
twenty–four percent of New Zealanders will be aged over sixty–five, whereas in 2012 the figure sat
at only fourteen percent. With statistics like these it's more important than ever to make sure our
elderly are provided for in their later years when they are no longer willing or able to work. The way
in which different governments go about acquiring funding for this income varies from country to
country; here we will look at the different systems in place to cater for our elderly here in New
Zealand and compare these to that of the USA and Australia.
First this essay will look at the different sources of retirement income in place around the world. We
will then look at New Zealand's retirement system and how it uses these sources

Abstract:
With growing technology and globalization, the volume of data is increasing day by day. Big Data
world is drowning in data that is generated every day. Big Data provides us with valuable data and
this in turn raise concerns how to maintain this data. Think about your daily data footprint. Say for
example your every action on web is being monitored like website you visit, queries you make
through search engine, all type of transaction, location services, pictures, and status post update.
Would you like your confidential data to be leaked or would you like someone to continuously
monitor your move on web. These are some of the privacy concerns in Big Data. Therefore there is
always conflict between Technology and privacy and that is not new to us, except perhaps now in its
greater scope, degree of intimacy, and pervasiveness.
In this paper, we are going to discuss about Big Data, various privacy issue in Big Data and what
future holds for Big Data. We will also be focusing on how big data privacy is used in healthcare

Gang Membership Is A Big Issue Essay
Gang membership is a big issue. There around 33,000 gangs in the U.S.A. These gangs have been
responsible for a wide range of criminal activities like; drug trafficking, prostitution, robbery,
murder, extortion and human trafficking. Most importantly it has been the reason why so many of
our young children have become a statistic and whose dreams or goals were cut short. Youth are the
most affect by gangs because they are most likely to be recruited to part of these awful groups.
Youth are in a stage of vulnerability and are more likely to be pressure to do things they may not
want. That does not mean all youth will join a gang. Males are most likely to join a gang than
female, yet female still do make a portion of our gang membership. It is more likely youth younger
than 13 are most likely to join a gang and African American, as well as Hispanic, make up a larger
percentage of gang membership than any other ethnicity. It is also those who live in neighborhood
with high rate crime and poverty who would most likely be exposed to gangs, therefore have a
higher possibility of joining a gang. Family structure is also a variable, those raised in a single
parent household rather than a two parent household. Peers influence your decision, like if your
friend is around trouble, or your family has current gang members. In order to address the issue, we
must first find its root of cause. Thankfully, with so many great studies, we have been able to study
each case in depth, and has

Poverty In The United States Has Been A Very Big Issue
Poverty in the United States has been a very big issue throughout its history. Poverty is both an
economic condition and a social concept. Poverty in the United States first took place in the 19th
century and till this day. Poverty was caused by people being selfish and not allowing everyone to
have a chance on being successful. Poverty took a big hit from the Great Depression to the Great
Recession that led millions of people down. Since then the poverty rate has been going up and
down, never keeping a steady pace. "In the late 1950s, about 22 percent of Americans nearly 40

This is a very good plan to keep people on track because the government can not overspend on
every single family or else the government would not have any money. By doing all this the
government programs help prevent the increase of poverty so that it can be reduced in the United
States.
The Great Recession was very hard for people and eventually led them to poverty. This event
happened about eight years from today but it still affects some people in poor areas. As a result, to
the great recession, major suburbs and the big city got affected that led the to a decline of the middle
class. "The irony of this characterization is that what the middle class is struggling against and what
portions of it have one fallen into is poverty" ("Introduction"). Although this was hard for many
people some managed to escape poverty. Government policies were put in place that leads to the
creation of lower paying jobs increasing the poor out of poverty. "These conjoined policies have also
resulted in the creation of low paying "McJobs", increasing the rank or the working poor"(Eternity).
This was the best choice that the government could have done because without this poverty rates
would increase. By putting in policies to recover from a major crisis this stimulated the economy
resulting in a better workforce. With all of this

The Big Issue of Piracy
Piracy
Piracy is a big issue in the gaming industry and is happening all the time and companies are trying
their best to get rid of this issue. The problem with trying to get rid of this issue is that there will
always be people figuring out loopholes in the defense of piracy.
There are some smart people who make a lot of money pirating items such as Movies for making
money. There are people who have made millions of dollars using this illegal way to steal what is
not theirs. Most of the time piracy does not impact the consumer because the most popular form of
piracy is downloading music. People pirate items for to get a cheaper price out of things or to sell to
another person for a higher price then what they pirated it for. If a company's product is being
Pirated one solution they might try is to stop making new products for release or they might take
disciplinary action and get the police involved. Pirating is a very scummy way to make money and it
really hurts the company that made the product. Piracy is not good for the economy and it hurts
more than you can imagine. The people that use piracy are usually very poor and doing it to make
money to support themselves and their family. I've seen my friend illegally download music and it
really made me sad because I know in the end my friend is going to get hurt in one way or the other.

Throughout his campaign, he has made it clear, his disgust towards immigrants, Hispanic
communities and minorities. Trump has stereotyped hispanics by using food stamps, crime, unpaid

of bitter and divisive struggles to change this kind of broad discrimination ... blood was spilled, it
was shocking to observe the degree of racial prejudice among people" (Carter). The saddest part of
it all is, history repeats.
When has, anyone heard someone give an uplifting comment to a Hispanic. On the news, we see the

they themselves do not want. The most common jobs for a "Mexican" are landscaping and working

Hispanics are overworked and underpaid, which gives goods at a cheaper cost. Without those

Ethical Issues In The Big Short Movie
The Big Short is based on a real life story that is about the 2008 financial crisis which was a result
of housing bubble. Sadly, unethical choices made by bankers, financial institutions and rating
agencies led to a crisis that hurt the World economy badly. The main ethical business dilemma is
that many people were aware of the potential risks; however, they preferred to avoid the truth, and
play stupid. There are many dilemmas throughout the movie that support this finding.
First, real estate agents had unrealistic expectations from the market. Because banks were giving out
low interest rates for a certain amount of time, people didn`t foresee the consequences of taking out
loans which are not affordable at first. Since people were not knowledgeable about the financial
market, they bluntly believed in the real estate agents and such.
Second, the credit rating agencies gave out generous ratings to bonds, which are essentially
worthless, to satisfy their customers` needs. For instance, when Mark Baum, a hedge fund manager,
went to Standard and Poor`s Agency to question them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

illegal business making and prosecute them to set an example for the future. In the movie, Mark
Baum expresses that Ben Bernanke, the former chairman of Central Bank, and many more people
knew that the market was going to crash, yet didn`t take any actions up until it happened. Clearly,
they should have taken actions to prevent this turmoil, and be prosecuted for their ignorance.
Prosecution is a key point to make sure this event doesn`t repeat itself because like Ben Rickert said
"Every one percent unemployment goes up, 40 thousand people die!" Clearly, people`s lives should

Positive And Negative Effects Of Social Media
Social networking is great, it allows to keep in contact with family and friends, it increases
socialization, an update of world News such as BBC and CNN. But it is not always great and
helpful; we have to realize that social media also have the negative impact on the society. Many
people are getting addicted to social media like Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram. Social
media's negative impact is spreading rapidly; it is time–consuming, it is causing problems in a
relationship, and a lot of people are going through depression because of what social media could do
to their mind. Also, privacy is the big issue in social media because people put their personal
information on their profile which allows others to know about them. In essence, as much as the
social media has improved our livelihood in the ways we live and associate with each other, it also
has daunting effects if used contrary to the prescribed means.
Nowadays, people are spending more time on social media instead of being productive. Students are
more distracted because they use social media while studying, they also get distracted in class which
makes them less productive, and that is the reason some teachers have a very strict rule about the
phone. Most people are not engaging in outdoor activities such as playing basketball or volunteering
for the community; they rather stay home and use their phone. Social media also has effects in

one of the World's biggest issues today. There are a number of people who are racists and spreading

Racism is bad as it was before and it is still here in many people. Definitely, no one born racist, but
his/her surroundings or cultures or environment make them racist person. There are plenty of people
in America who are facing racism. While racism still a big problem in the United States, it can be
decreased or reduced by making changes in the community, supporting or attending different
cultures and learning about cultures. Firstly, Racism can be reduced or prevented by making some
changes in the community. Additionally, "If you hear someone use racial slurs, make a racial joke, or
mistreat people because of their race, step in say something." If someone sees somebody being racist
with someone else in the community he/she should stop him/her immediately before something goes
wrong. Furthermore, people should sit together and talk about racism and how can they prevent

The Big Issue Of Climate Change And Global Warming Essay

  • 1. The Big Issue of Climate Change and Global Warming Essay Climate Change and Global Warming Climate change and Global warming is a big issue in the world today. One big thing is the Greenhouse Effect. The Greenhouse Effect is the capturing of the sun's warmth in the planet's lower atmosphere due to the greater transparency of the atmosphere to visible radiation from the sun than to infrared radiation given off from the planet's surface. Greenhouse gases affect the temperature here on Earth by sunlight hitting the Earth. Then, carbon dioxide reflects the heat from the sun and traps the heat, keeping it on the Earth causing a rise in temperature. Global climate change means that there is a rise in temperatures on Earth. Statists say that the average temperatures around the world have climbed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Global warming effects Maine in a lot of different ways. Lobstering is really big in Maine. It takes up to seven years for a lobster to grow to be legally harvestable. To grow, they shed their old shell and start growing a new one. This usually happens in the middle to late summer, but warming waters in the Gulf of Maine are thought to be causing an earlier shed, which can cause problems for the flow to market. Also being one of the nation's most forested state, Maine is expected to be effected a lot within the next decade. Some trees will flourish, others will disappear. Maine forests are getting wetter and warmer and more susceptible to different diseases and harmful pests. Animal populations are also effected by global climate change. Animals who are used to colder weather are now finding themselves in temperatures that aren't suitable for them. Species are traveling to accommodate to their needs. The Kyoto protocol is the first legally binding treaty aimed at cutting emissions of the main greenhouse gases believed to contribute to global warming. In 1997 world leaders adopted the Kyoto Protocol. It required rich countries to reduce their greenhouse gas production to 5.2%, or below the 1990 levels. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Poverty Is A Very Big Issue Affecting Other Societies Poverty is a very big issue affecting various societies in the world. A country can be developed or underdeveloped and still have peoples suffering from poverty According to oxford dictionaries, poverty is the "the state of being extremely poor" ("Poverty", n.d). Poverty can be seen as a negative thing to the society because, it means not having the necessities of life, not being able to get the appropriate education, not having a place to call home and so many other effects. It can be experienced by so many demographics including children. Child poverty is vital because, it deals with children who are so delicate and need a lot of care and love. According to UNICEF (2004), "Children living in poverty experience deprivation of the material, spiritual and emotional resources needed to survive, develop and thrive, leaving them unable to enjoy their rights, achieve their full potential or participate as full and equal members of society" ("State of the world's children: Childhood under threat," 2004). This paper would be focusing on child poverty in Afghanistan, causes, effects and ways in which organizations can be of help to them. Afghanistan is a country in South Asia which is going through so many crises right now, in which child poverty is one of them. "Afghanistan is a country considered to be among the most dangerous place for children to be born" ("Afghanistan," n.d). So many children have been left homeless and orphaned because of the war. • 5. Big Issues, Jobs, Prices, And Economic State Three big issues; jobs, prices, and economic state. Within the economy of Longview, jobs, prices, and the economic state as a whole are huge issues. Bringing a Costco into town would not only provide a new, growing, and better job environment but also, the price of using everyday items would decrease, and those two things combined would lead to an improved economic state, within the Longview/Kelso area. People complain daily about the lack of jobs here in Longview and the cost of simply needed items. Building a Costco in the Longview/Kelso area, would eliminate those three issues; lack of quality jobs, cost of goods, and our economic state. WHY DON'T WE HAVE ONE? Roughly, two hundred and fifty quality jobs would be available to people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Getting a Costco Wholesale in Longview, would create a better economy and a healthier country (Peterson). Craig Jelinek, the CEO of Costco Wholesale, maintains a ninety–two percent approval rating from not only his employees but his executives (Peterson). This shows that Costco would create not only more jobs here in Longview/Kelso but good sustainable jobs. He believes that, "If you treat consumers and employees with respect, good things will happen" (Stone). This shows immensely when simply walking through a Costco. As a costumer of Costco, people notice that employees of this corporation always have a smile on their face. One employee even said, "I am grateful to come and work here everyday" (Stone). Happy employees mean effective workers, and that is shown on each face in the warehouse. Statistics show that only less than five percent of employees leave after working there a year and less than one percent leave in the executive branches (Stone). Employees that work at Costco are happy to be there and potentially can get an even better job inside the corporation. It is said that Costco likes to hire executives from the inside. Seventy percent of the executives at Costco were once warehouse workers (Stone). This means that anyone that gets a job there has a seventy percent chance to move up in the ranks of the company, make more money, stay there longer, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. School Is Never A Big Issue For Me School was never a big issue for me. That could have been because my parents chose to put me in the public school system for my academic career. In grade school, I went to Kyrene de la Esperanza and then off to Centennial Middle School. After Centennial, I then attended Mountain Pointe High School. All three of these schools are in the Ahwatukee area (where I grew up and currently live.) During school, I was the average student that did not talk much. Depending on the day I would raise my hand for the easy questions but usually I just listened. As a student, I tried to get "good grades." But that wasn't always the case. Every person has strengths and weaknesses in school. Some of my strengths are english, biology, choir(music theory), and history. My favorite has always been biology and music theory. Biology interested me and inspired me to look into a degree with it. After researching the different degrees, I ended up changing my mind. Math is a giant struggle for me. In high school, I ended up dropping Pre–Calculus for an easier math because I was barely passing. For as long as I can remember, math has always been my worst subject. It was a miracle if I passed with a B. As a child, I struggled with making friends. I was always the shy one that did not talk much. While growing up that changed quite a bit. I opened up more and became less shy. Another struggle that I have is anxiety. I tend to take on too much and I end up overwhelming myself. I'm not really sure why I ... This planet is the only planet that we know that has life on it and this planet is are home and we have to keep it clean. Global Warming is a big issue, some people might say it doesn't affect them but in reality it effects everyone. The amount of dumping, polluting we do on this planet is going to take effect a lot sooner then we think and when it does we might be done for. Life is precious and we live on this beautiful planet and if we keep polluting on this beautiful planet we are going to lose this planet and are lives. Global Warming effects everyone, no matter who you are or what you do, you will be effected by global warming. Those that live near sea will be the first to be effected by the change of the planet. Sea level will rise and the islands that are habitable, the people on those island will lose their home because there island will be underwater. Scenario 2 Roxanne and Carlos have worked together on a work project before and established a good working relationship. As managers in their organization, they have been assigned to meet with three other managers, Annika, Carol, and Justin. However, once all members begin to work together as a team, some interesting individual behaviors are observed. Annika doesn't go out of her way to contribute, but instead nods her head, seemingly agrees with the group, yet returns to her department and complains how the group never accomplishes anything. Rumors fly throughout the organization and dis–information reaches Roxanne, who, so far, has not confronted Annika nor shared what she knows. Annika has managed to secure side agreements with Carol, who now comes to the meetings with agenda items that have nothing to do with the discussion. Meanwhile, Justin just tries to keep the peace among the team members and continually soothes the members during the discussion. Meanwhile, both Roxanne and Carlos, who had secured initial team agreements about Ground Rules and a team action plan, are becoming restless and agitated because after two meetings, the team doesn't seem to be making progress. Do rates of teenager cancer vary between countries? What ways are teenagers with cancer and their families supported? Choice of Topic and Rationale Our rationale demonstrates the issue of teenage cancer and also the impact on family and friends. Research informs us that Teenagers who 've survived childhood cancers may be more likely than their siblings to be depressed or anxious, have attention problems or show antisocial behaviours. A report published by Reuters Health also shared that based on questionnaires given to parents of nearly 3,000 former cancer patients, teenage survivors were 50 percent more likely to suffer from depression or anxiety symptoms than their siblings. They were also 70 percent more likely to show antisocial behavior, such as problems getting along with their peers. In New Zealand we have an organisation called Canteen. • 15. The Criminal Justice System Is A Big Issue Faced By The... Racism in the U.S. criminal justice system is a big issue faced by the nation. This prejudice is strongly expressed today in its massive incarceration rate among minorities. People of color are being targeted by a bias system created by people with a bias mindset. This has resulted in African Americans representing about 35% of the jail population and 37% of the prison population despite only being 12% of the total U.S. population (Carson, 2015). According to The Sentencing Project (2013): By creating and perpetuating policies that allow such racial disparities to exist in its criminal justice system, the United States is in violation of its obligations under Article 2 and Article 26 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to ensure that all its citizens–regardless of race– are treated equally under the law. (p. 2) The ethnic structure of the prison populace in the United States is very different from the rest of the population of the nation. It can easily be stated that the American criminal justice system is fundamentally racist. Unfortunately the racial inequality in the criminal justice system is not talked about enough because it does not affect most people. This intense and vivid presentation of people with an ethnic background in the justice system discloses a conflict between America's thoughts towards legal equality for everyone and a tendency to arrest ethnic minorities. The hard reality and fact is that people of color get arrested more often ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Social Issues In I Am Malala Malala Yousafzai is the youngest person to have ever won the Nobel Peace Prize, one of only 16 women to have won the prize, and the only woman from Pakistan to have won the prize. Malala won that prize for standing up for the social issues of Pakistan and almost getting killed for standing up for what's right. There are several issues going on in Pakistan but more specifically in the valley of Swat. The social issues going on in Pakistan are gender discrimination, education rights, and extremism. Gender discrimination is a very big issue in Pakistan, more specifically Malala's village of Swat, as shown through the book I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai. For example, Rohul Amin, Malala's grandfather, showed discrimination to his own daughters! The discrimination was shown on page 29 when Malala states, "School wasn't the only thing my aunts missed out on. In the morning when my father was given a bowl of cream with his tea, his sisters were given only tea. If there were eggs, they would only be for the boys. When a chicken was slaughtered for dinner, the girls would get the wings and the neck while the luscious breast meat was enjoyed by my father, his brother and my grandfather" (Yousafzai 29), Amin has his own daughters grow up knowing that they're seen as lesser than which is crazy on so many levels. Therefore, gender discrimination is a social issue and shown through Rohul Amin's treatment of his daughters. In addition, the murder of a dancer and singer, Shabana, was ... • 19. Gun Control A Big Issue Essay Why is Gun Control a Big Issue? In 1791, our forefathers ratified the second amendment which was "the right to bear arms" ("Second Amendment"). This amendment was created so that the americans could protect themselves against the british soldiers. People now have been using guns for all of the wrong reasons, and in result many lives of innocent people have been taken. Gun control in today's world has became an enormous issue because many lives have been taken, businesses and innocent people have been robbed, and the suicide rates have increased. Initially, many lives have been taken due to the lack of gun control. For example, in 2012 there was a school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School where a man went into the school with a gun and shot 20 children between the ages of 6 and 7, and eight adults ("Sandy Hook Elementary shooting leaves 28 dead"). This tragedy is a perfect example because it shows young children's lives being taken away from them due to the lack of gun control laws. The government should make gun control laws more strict to help prevent major tragedies such as the "Sandy Hook Shooting", and to save the lives of the people in this country. "The focus on the impact gun laws have on violent crimes is further under the microscope because of the recent rise of violent crimes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are a lot of people in this country that believe that the guns are not the problem, but that the person using the gun is the problem. • 21. Cheating Is A Big Issue Essay Soni Nguyen Kate Brennan ENG 100 17 November 2016 Assignment #4 Cheating is a big issue in today's world. Students resort to cheating for many different reasons. Whether they have a lot of work to do or just being very lazy and want to get the assignment done, students cheat in everyday life. In prestigious schools like Harvard, it was found that students have admitted to cheating on an assignment or a paper. There have been ways to block students off from cheating but there are always new ways and solutions to cheat. Surveys have been taken at many colleges and in every survey taken, the majority was always in favor to students who have cheated. Cheating has not been a new topic of issue because it has been controversial for a long time. Surveys taken back then compared to today were similar in the results. In both surveys, majority of students have admitted to cheating on an assignment or paper. Cheating will not be stopped because students will not stop and there is no way to prevent students from doing it. Teachers may block things off to prevent cheating but students will come up with new ways to cheat. In "Slip Sliding Away Down the Ethical Slope" by Robert J. Sternberg, he explains to the readers that cheating is not an ethical thing to do. He explains that there is a process to behave ethically. Sternberg explains that professors expect students to act ethically and that it is a norm that students should behave and act ethically. He also believes that behaving ... • 23. Big Data Issues, And Challenges Essay 4.6 Big Data Issues, and Challenges There are many fundamental issue areas that need to be addressed in dealing with big data: data acquisition, data storage, data transfer, data management, and data processing. Each of these issues represents a large set of technical research problems and challenges in its own right. 1. Data acquisition Variety of data sources and the huge volumes of data make accessing data and data acquisition major issue and big challenge needs more research attentions. 2. Data Storage As the volume of data has exploded, we have invented a new storage medium. Moreover, data is being created by everyone and everything Due to the introduction of the various social media websites which allows users to upload the data in any format. The volume of the data has increased to the level which is hard to manage. Even with the introduction of the new disk technologies, the limitation to store data in the single disk can be maximum to few terabytes; so to process the petabytes or exabytes of the data, large amount of the disks and processor are required to work in parallel. 3. Data Transfer To transfer the huge amount of data over the network towards the processing system, it needs a lot of time for transferring the data and processed it. As a result of this nowadays there are two solutions one is to process the data in the storage location and transmit only the resulting information so that the network cost can be minimized and data can be process faster. • 31. Global Warming Is A Big Issue Causing The World Global Warming is a big issue causing the world to heat up. One of the main causes of global warming is carbon emission. Carbon emission are at an all–time high and much of it is due to humans and the burning of fossil fuels. Higher carbon emissions add significantly to the greenhouse effect and global warming. Climate scientists all agree that the average temperature of earth is increasing and it is because of us. Every day we burn more and more coal, oil, and gasoline and those are only a few sources of CO2 emission that we cause every day, which slowly is heating up the earth. The greenhouse effects explains how gases such as CO2 is being trapped in our atmosphere and heating it up. The warming from the greenhouse effect is gradual but undeniable causing things like glaciers, snow peaks, and polar ice caps to melt. Weather pattern are changing and become more unpredictable and sea levels are slowly rising. This is concerning to many experts, companies, and countries. In order to even hope for a more promising future we must have massive changes in legislation, regulation, and find new cleaner energy sources. The world requires a huge change in how we manage and use our energy. President Obama leads the charge with his plan to limit the carbon pollution from power plants. This makes the U.S the first to have taken steps to try to stop global warming by limiting CO2 pollution with the Clean Power Plan (CPP). There are many different problems behind why gun control is such a big issue in the world today, and why some people want gun control and others do not. Through these contrasting opinions on gun control, the world will never fully decide what is completely right. Even though guns are used for good every day, they are also used for situations that are not good for our safety or the safety of others. Gun violence continues to rise in places where handguns are illegal. In the United Kingdom, where hand guns are illegal there are more violent crimes than here in the United States where handguns are legal. Even though we have less violent crimes, we still have a major problem with violence. The article "Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence" states, "On average, thirty–two Americans are murdered with guns every day and one hundred–forty are treated for a gun assault in an emergency room" ("Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"). So it shows violent crimes are still a big problem in this country. One of the biggest problems is how much it affects the children of our country. The author also says, "Youth children which live in the most rural U.S. counties are as likely to die from a gunshot as those living in the most urban counties. Rural children die of more gun suicides and unintentional shooting deaths. Urban children die more often of gun homicides" ("Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"). Reading this fact is very alarming as children should not be around guns as they are very dangerous to them. • 45. Analysis Of Television Shows And Peaky Blinders It is often said that there are two sides to every story. "Peaky Blinders" and "Boardwalk Empire" are the perfect example of this as they tell essentially the same story through very different lenses. These two iconic television series tackle the subject of society post World War I, and a soldier's place in it. Though the details often vary between the two, they share the same core characteristics. Both are post–war crime dramas, centered around a strong, dignified character, where both are leaders of his own respective criminal organization. Additionally, both shows are set in the Roaring Twenties, a time full of reform and evolution. This inherently meant the show would have to address the social issues during this time–period or lose some sense of credibility. "Peaky Blinders" does a fantastic job of this by making these social problems a recurring theme in the show. "Boardwalk Empire", while much subtler in the way it handles social problems, is equally successful. Because of this, each of these dramas could also be considered a series on social issues post WWI. Intriguing, engaging, riveting, these descriptions could describe either of these shows; alternatively, so could slow, tedious, and meticulous. The creators of both set out to create an entertaining, compelling, and accurate, if sometimes exaggerated and dramatized, series. Many people feel aborting an unwanted child, or killing an unwanted child should be against the law because they don't understand what abortion is, who can receive abortions, and why people would even choose to get them. I stand for a woman's body is her own to do with whatever she wants. Therefore, on the topic of abortions, I am pro–choice. Before a person makes a decision about abortion, they should know exactly what abortion it is and what it involves. To define abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy, especially during the first six months. This simply means, inducing birth to kill the fetus before it is carried to full term. Often times early in a pregnancy, a woman will go to the doctor and they will prescribe a pill to take orally and doing that will terminate pregnancy. If the woman wants an abortion done later in a pregnancy, then she must have the baby surgically removed from her body. Sometimes women do not decide to have an abortion until it is too late to take a pill or have the surgery; then she will be unable to have the abortion procedure. The first argument is that not everyone is able to receive an abortion. As I earlier stated, if a woman were too far along into her pregnancy, she would be considered unable to have an abortion. This leads to a full–term pregnancy and then the child would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Great Recession was very hard for people and eventually led them to poverty. This event happened about eight years from today but it still affects some people in poor areas. As a result, to the great recession, major suburbs and the big city got affected that led the to a decline of the middle class. "The irony of this characterization is that what the middle class is struggling against and what portions of it have one fallen into is poverty" ("Introduction"). Although this was hard for many people some managed to escape poverty. Government policies were put in place that leads to the creation of lower paying jobs increasing the poor out of poverty. "These conjoined policies have also resulted in the creation of low paying "McJobs", increasing the rank or the working poor"(Eternity). This was the best choice that the government could have done because without this poverty rates would increase. By putting in policies to recover from a major crisis this stimulated the economy resulting in a better workforce. With all of this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The problem with trying to get rid of this issue is that there will always be people figuring out loopholes in the defense of piracy. There are some smart people who make a lot of money pirating items such as Movies for making money. There are people who have made millions of dollars using this illegal way to steal what is not theirs. Most of the time piracy does not impact the consumer because the most popular form of piracy is downloading music. People pirate items for to get a cheaper price out of things or to sell to another person for a higher price then what they pirated it for. If a company's product is being Pirated one solution they might try is to stop making new products for release or they might take disciplinary action and get the police involved. Pirating is a very scummy way to make money and it really hurts the company that made the product. Piracy is not good for the economy and it hurts more than you can imagine. The people that use piracy are usually very poor and doing it to make money to support themselves and their family. • 71. Racial Discrimination Is A Big Social Issue Today Racial discrimination is a big social issue today, especially with the president elect, Donald Trump in office. According to Timothy Mcgettigan in the article, "Donald Trump and White Racism" declares, " the 2016 presidential election has become a national referendum on racism " . Throughout his campaign, he has made it clear, his disgust towards immigrants, Hispanic communities and minorities. Trump has stereotyped hispanics by using food stamps, crime, unpaid taxes and living songerly. It has brought people together in protest and discrimination. Racism takes on and blinds the history and roots that occurred in the past. People of color deserve respect and should not face discriminatory treatment. Influenced by the nation 's leader, ... African–Americans continue to suffer discrimination because of the historic consequences of their skin color, ... been enslaved and then only partially freed." to demonstrate the still existence of discrimination to minorities after past slavery events. "It took years of bitter and divisive struggles to change this kind of broad discrimination ... blood was spilled, it was shocking to observe the degree of racial prejudice among people" (Carter). The saddest part of it all is, history repeats. When has, anyone heard someone give an uplifting comment to a Hispanic. On the news, we see the crimes and skin color to determine all the ethnic group's actions and are accused of taking jobs that they themselves do not want. The most common jobs for a "Mexican" are landscaping and working in the fields, it has never been anyone's dream job yet. In addition it can lead to economic effects. Hispanics are overworked and underpaid, which gives goods at a cheaper cost. Without those latinos, goods would increase. Latinos are not all Mexican, but people assume they are. Chicanos make up most of the population. Can you imagine no diversity in the U.S.? It will leave a lot of empty space. They are placed in the same category as ignorance and not American. As we see stereotypes we see that people use them to believe that Mexicans are drug dealers and are on food stamps. What is most heard is the typical "Go back to your country" expression. ... • 73. Ethical Issues In The Big Short Movie The Big Short is based on a real life story that is about the 2008 financial crisis which was a result of housing bubble. Sadly, unethical choices made by bankers, financial institutions and rating agencies led to a crisis that hurt the World economy badly. The main ethical business dilemma is that many people were aware of the potential risks; however, they preferred to avoid the truth, and play stupid. There are many dilemmas throughout the movie that support this finding. First, real estate agents had unrealistic expectations from the market. Because banks were giving out low interest rates for a certain amount of time, people didn`t foresee the consequences of taking out loans which are not affordable at first. Since people were not knowledgeable about the financial market, they bluntly believed in the real estate agents and such. Second, the credit rating agencies gave out generous ratings to bonds, which are essentially worthless, to satisfy their customers` needs. For instance, when Mark Baum, a hedge fund manager, went to Standard and Poor`s Agency to question them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, I believe that government should have watched those who got involved with unethical and illegal business making and prosecute them to set an example for the future. In the movie, Mark Baum expresses that Ben Bernanke, the former chairman of Central Bank, and many more people knew that the market was going to crash, yet didn`t take any actions up until it happened. Clearly, they should have taken actions to prevent this turmoil, and be prosecuted for their ignorance. Prosecution is a key point to make sure this event doesn`t repeat itself because like Ben Rickert said "Every one percent unemployment goes up, 40 thousand people die!" Clearly, people`s lives should matter more than unethical money ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
