on one end they do a serviceable job with the audio and video side of things. However, when it comes
to special features and the price tag, which is high due to the limited nature of their discs, it's hard to
rate the disc highly when you factor it all together. It really comes down to whether you enjoy the
movie over features. Thankfully, the disc has solid audio and video, but it does lack on the features. It

Another purpose of the Bond Girl is simply to provide the audience with the right mixture of glamour,
glitz and showbiz. Their image also helps reinforce Bond's reputation of being irresistible and in
command.
Nevertheless, all that glamour usually comes with a price. Being a Bond Girl has frequently been at
once the pinnacle of an aspiring actress' career and the end of it. For example, Shirley Eaton, best
remembered for being painted gold in Goldfinger back in 1964. Nobody remembers her at all. Nobody
remembers how her husband died young and how she struggled to find other major roles after being all

While rehabilitating, Lynd visits Bond every day, and Bond begins to think of a future with her,
marriage, even leaving the service. Once released from the hospital, the two travel and live together. It

everyone, shallow or not, his popularity is known to each one.
Before we go any further lets divide the Bond Movies in four significant patterns. First wave of Bond
movies shall belong to time period of Sean Connery. The second wave shall belong to Roger Moore.

So now we ask why we are fussing over so many actors who played James Bond. The answer is – we
have to. This essay is not about how the Bond in the novel is different from the Bond on celluloid. The
argument would take a whole new level if that was the case. Here we focus on how there has been
several changes from the first James Bond that we saw in Sean Connery to the new James Bond we see
in Daniel Craig. And what can be the reason for these changes, with a movie critic review of some of
the Bond movies as mentioned in the paper. So this becomes our business to understand these old and

risk taking in 2 different places: work and women. James bonds line of duty, in itself was risky. He was
an international spy who tracked down villains and lived on the edge or in hiding a majority of his life.
Ian Fleming's line of work, while not as dangerous, was risky in different ways. He bounced around for
a while trying to find where he belonged, and then he found the perfect fit in the Naval Intelligence

I took notes on four main themes regarding; Bond's relationship and treatment of the women, the roles
of the women in the film (how key they were to the plot), and the social depiction and life of their
character in the film and their sexual relationship with Bond.
Through textual analysis I discovered that in three of the main themes excluding the latter there had
been significant development. Comparing two of the themes:Bond relationship and treatment of the
women and their importance to the plot in films throughout the franchise, I found that in earlier Bond
films throughout the Sean Connery era (Dr No. to Never say never again) and the beginning of the
Roger Moore era up to The man with a golden gun, generally showed Bond girls in a more subordinate
role to Bond. In Goldfinger Bond slaps a girl on the bottom and tells her "man talk!" when his fellow
agent arrives prompting her to leave, exhibiting her unimportance. Bond also tricks solitaire into having
sex with him by fooling her with trick cards in Live and let die. He also handles women roughly,
slapping them around for information or twisting their arms around their back (Dr No.). In films such

Ever since, I wondered whether this impression was correct. The goal of this thesis is to satisfy this
curiosity and to determine, through textual and visual analyses, if the 1986 television series also carries
a Confucian message, or whether it was solely produced for entertainment purposes. This leads to the
following research question:
How does the 1986 television series Journey to the West convey the novel's original Confucian
message, and what does this suggest for its production purposes?
I argue that authors and producers often attempt to impose their own set of cultural and political
ideologies on its audience through a certain depiction of right and wrong. In this manner, works of
fiction might influence, perhaps even alter, the ideologies of the audience.[3] Accordingly, analyzing
the depiction of ideologies in media content can serve as a basis for further research on if and how
producers intend to influence their audience.
This particular case of Confucianism in the 1986 Journey to the West television series is especially
interesting, due to China's socio–political setting of that time. The influence of the Chinese Communist

Party (CCP) on media content[4] combined with its usage of Confucianism to secure its own right to
rule[5] make the Journey to the West television series the perfect medium to promote Confucianism to
