● Management. Supervised and train Member Service Representatives
employing all facets of management including scheduling, training,
hiring, and performance reviews. Managed all day-to-day functions of
the Membership department, including but not limited to: membership
outreach and growth; member service, member billing and
accounting, sales and retention; communications; operations and
scheduling of facilities; planning and implementing membership and
outreach activities.
● Creating a culture of teamwork, mentoring and coaching staff for
great customer service and serving the mission of the Y. Help prepare
staff for future employment in and out of the YMCA.
● Special Event planning and implementation: Senior programming
Field Trips for Seniors 55+. Senior “talks”, invited local speaker for
themed presentations to membership. Youth Sports Programs
planning, advertising and implementation. Community events:
summer carnival, Halloween events all in collaboration with local
business.
● Building Relationships/Partnerships: Acted as community liaison to
build relationships with other community organizations, churches,
schools and local business.
● Intake, review, and process financial assistance applications for
membership.
● Customer Service: Managed staff supporting as many as 4,000
customers monthly in high- volume retail fitness facility; proficient in
problem solving and exceeding customer needs
● Marketing. Designed and implemented membership promotions in
compliance with non-profit guidelines. Designed marketing
campaigns to the community and YMCA members.
● Create brochures, newsletters, posters for branch outreach
● Committee Representative. Represented the branch in Association-
wide committees such as Membership Cabinet, Diversity Cabinet and
sat as Family Cabinet Chair.
● Leadership Certification. Completed trainings required for YMCA
Team Leader Certification including Principles and Practices,
Introduction to Fiscal Management, Annual SupportCampaign, and
Keys to Member Engagement trainings. Introduction to Leading
Others, Championing a Diversity Initiative HR Basics, &
Volunteerism.

● CPR and first aid trained.
● Assisted in organizing and leading activities for children and adults in
the City's recreation programs, including Preschool101, and Active
Kids.
