PC3: Personalised Curriculum Creation through Coaching is a JISC-funded project at Leeds Metropolitan University. The project launch is on September 15th 2008 and this presentation gives a basic introduction to the project and the way it uses coaching.

Coaching is: Skilled Timely An agreed and equal relationship Non directive Uses a structured coaching process based upon a recognized coaching model Is a supportive process, A relationship that fosters autonomy of the individual – rather than a relationship of dependency Developmental through agreeing ways forward Coaching is underpinned by several principles: That the client / student is resourceful Through the coach the client / student’s resourcefulness is catalyzed The coaching process addresses the whole person – looking at a person’s past, present and future It is through an agenda set by the client / student Based on equality – a partnership The coaching is about change and action – promoting development of intrinsic motivation.
