The document provides feedback and evaluation on a presentation made to experts on school advertisements. It summarizes that the main school script received good feedback for being informative for its target audience, and the upbeat music was well-received. However, the group could have better explained their production company and presented the scripts and music together. For future presentations, the writer would make more eye contact, improve the sixth form script, and exclude phone numbers. The evaluation also notes positives of the advertisement but areas for improvement, such as adding more dialogue to engage audiences and including more sound effects for younger students. The feedback will be used to improve the sixth form script and make it more informative.

Evaluation
I believe we had some positives from our presentation after receiving the feedback from the
experts who we presented to. I think we did well at getting across our ideas well and
highlighting our reasoning behind our choices of music and script. We got very good
feedback on the main school script as it was much more informative than the sixth form
script and was much more aimed at the target audience. I also think that our music got good
feedback because it was happy and upbeat so would attract people to come to the open
evenings.
However, I feel that we could’ve presented the script and the music in a better way perhaps
by reading the scripts with the music in the background so that the experts could get a
proper feel for what the advert will sound like. I also think that we as a group could have
made more of an effort to explain to the panel what our production company was all about
and why they should pick us over other production companies. If I was to do this again I
would certainly make sure that we present the adverts in a much more interesting way by
making eye contact and speaking more freely to the experts, as this would have been far
more interesting for them. I also think due to our poor feedback about the sixth form script
we could’ve made it much more informative and more aimed at the target audience to
attract people to the sixth form open evening. Also we should not have included a
telephone number in the main school script as many people don’t remember numbers but
they remember email addresses.
After completing our adverts I am pleased with the end result, however there are many
improvements that I could have made which would’ve made the advert much more
appealing to the target audience. For example I feel that the script could have done with a
bit more dialogue to make it more interesting for the target audience who are listening as
they will be attracted to the school open evenings if the advert is more interesting. I also
feel that in my final edit I could’ve had more sound effects to make it exciting for the
younger target audience of year 6 students, however it was hard to include these noises as
well as the information as the advert had to be exactly 30 seconds. On the other hand, I
think that there was lots of positives such as the upbeat vibe of our music which reflects the
mood of the school and fit well with the script. I also think that our voices sound good in it
however if we were to do it again I would make sure we get an external actor who is more
confident in acting out scripts.
We are going to use the experts’ feedback to make sure that our script does not include a
telephone number as many people don’t tend to use or remember telephone numbers that
frequently anymore. We also got criticised for not having a very informative script and
therefore before we record we need to adjust this and include more facts and statistics
about the sixth form so that we can attract more people to come to the open evening rather
than them just listening to a conversation from some students.
