2. Time management.
ā¢ In terms of time management I think that I have done well.
Production took about 2 or 3 hours on the day, and then it took about
a week to process the images. I didnāt plan anytime out in my idea
develoment/planning document as I didnāt feel like I needed to plan
out what I was going to do, as it was a pretty standard shoot.
ā¢ A second shoot was required as on review of the images we decided
that a second shoot was needed in order to get the right images. I
donāt think is an issue of time management however, I think it is just a
communication error between me and my client that led to me
having to go back and get the images that they wanted, as they didnāt
initially tell me that they wanted them in the briefing that I asked
them to fill out in the first place.
3. Communication With Client
ā¢ I think my communication with my client has been professional. I
have treat her with respect and was clear with her as to what I
wanted to do with the project.
ā¢ Something that I could have done better was pressed her more when
getting the brief, as they didnāt say everything that they wanted
initially, which lead to me having to go back and doing a second
shoot. If I were to do this project again I think I would have sat down
and done the brief with the client, so they could talk me through
what they wanted and why thy wanted it, so that I could have known
about everything that I was going to do.
4. Images
ā¢ I think that I have produced an array of high quality images for my
client, who is happy with what I have produced. Whilst my idea
development for the images was lacking, I think that I have made up
for it by producing the images that I have, as there is a variety of
styles and colours on display. Something that I have done well is
follow what my client asked of me. I stuck by the brief on my first
shoot and then followed the instructions in the email that they sent
me for the second shoot.
ā¢ I think that I could have shot some images with different social
medias in mind, so for example frame an image so it can easily be
used for Instagram.
5. Requirements of the brief
ā¢ I used the brief as my main guide in this project. I followed what my
client asked for to a T, which was āquirkā images, with shots of the
products on sale and the outside of the store itself. I feel like I have
done this well, as I have taken some quirky images, by using different
focus points and using odd angles in order to give the images more
character. I have also gotten a lot of less artsy, more informative
images that aim to let the customers know about what it on sale.
6. Client feedback
ā¢ The feedback from my client has been very positive, I think this is not
only because I have produce high quality images that fit their needs
but because I was easy to work with, as I didnt require anything off
them.
1st set of feedback 2nd set of feedback
7. What have I learnt?
ā¢ The main thing I have learnt is to speak to my client for in depth
about what they are expecting of me, as it can avoid any
complications with things such as reshoots.
ā¢ I could have managed my time better. I haven't taken that long to do
the project but I think I could have been more efficient if I had
planned out my time well.
