2. Firstly, in order to attract/address our audience, we
had to establish who our audience was. To do
this, we had to research the genre of our film
opening which is a rockumentary. When looking at
the genre of a rockumentary, we found the typical
audience was teenage girls aged from 15-
24, however we did also find teenage males also
watched rockumentaries. Consequently, we decided
it would be appropriate to also target at the same
audience.
P.S. There are more details of our
target audience in the posts, target
audience and audience targeted.
3. We aim to attract our audience in the
opening sequence by creating a interesting
title sequence, firstly by making 4Q
productions which is a play the taboo swear
word and we thought that this would be
appealing and funny to the teenage
audience, also musicians often swear in a
light-hearted way at concerts to appear
‘cool’.
We then used another production
company called 20/20 vision. We
hoped this reflected the good
quality of our film and hoped the
design would attract the audience,
the ‘geek’ glasses are popular
amongst the teenage audience.
4. We used long shots of fans to create
the sense that Dylan Roberts has
lots of fans and this attracts our
target audience.
We use many close ups,
extreme close ups and
medium close ups to
establish a star image of
Dylan Roberts and this is
very important in a
rockumentary film opening.
