2. What have your learned from your
audience feedback?
Audience feedback had a massive impact in the production
and post-production of our work in order for us to make the
final product as good as we could.
Our target audience was based on audience feedback and
research that helped find out what specific people listened to
the Arctic Monkeys, which was from around the age of 14 to
30. when we asked people certain questions such as ‘what
sort of thing would you expect to see in an Arctic Monkeys
video?’ we were told things that would appeal specifically to
this target audience. We asked a number of random people a
number of questions which led to us coming up with ideas
that we were struggling to find.
3. When we completed the first viewing of the video it was important
that we got feedback from a variety of different people to see what
they would include or even take out of the video to make it better.
A number of people said changing some of the colour effects would
make it look more appealing and would attract a wider audience so
that was the first thing we looked on improving.
We organised focus groups, and did it as couples in both male and
female genders in order to get the best feed back that we could.
First of all we wrote down what questions we were going to ask in
order for them to help us as well as we wanted and then we
recorded the interviews.
4. The sort of questions that we asked included mostly
about what they would expect from a music video for the
song of our choice, A Certain Romance. We made sure
that they knew the song well and also asked about what
they expect from a typical Arctic Monkeys video.
We had to include genre into the questions a lot to see if
they had the same understanding of the ‘indie’ genre as
we did, such as the types of clothes that the main
character had to wear and things such as titles.
