Foodlink Foundation Annual
Report 2016 â 2017
Foodlink Foundation is a non-
profit organization that aims
to fight hunger in Hong Kong.
Founded in 2001, Foodlink has
since been actively pursuing its
goal of providing warm meals
to those in need and spreading
awareness of food-related
issues.
I was given the opportunity
to design the companyâs first
printed annual report.

Diversity Magazine
City University of Hong Kongâs
magazine DiverCity (previously
titled Diversity) is a student
publication that celebrates and
explores cultural diversity.
I was asked by the publication
team to design the cover of
their 2016 publication.
To convey the vastness of
CityUâs cultural communities,
photos of students from all
walks of life were superimposed
onto a network of shapes
that formed into a complex
structure.

CityU Welcome Week
Promotional Material
The Student Residence Office
of City University of Hong
Kong asked me to design a
set of promotional material
to welcome the new batch of
students for the year. Bright
and colorful illustrations were
used to help new students ease
into the terrifying transition
that is entering university while
simultaneously conveying
an atmosphere of fun and
excitement.

Bad Dreams
I produced a couple of
electronic soundtracks
largely influenced by the
characteristics of 80s music,
television, and pop culture as
a whole, otherwise known as
âSynthwaveâ.
âBad Dreamsâ was one of the
first tracks composed and I
wanted to create some cover
art to help capture the songâs
ominous yet mysterious feeling.
âOut of Reachâ and âTunnel
Visionâ are two other songs
featured in the EP.

Sportomics Hong Kong
Sportomics Hong Kong is a physical
education center that provides a
wide variety of quality sports training
specifically designed for young children.
Sportomics reached out to me to help
redesign their logo but maintain key
elements of the original design.
It was also important to them that I
emphasized the idea of variety in their
sports education.
I kept the color consistent with the
original design but darkened it to help
elicit a sense of strength and discipline.
Symbols representing different sports
were colored in a striking orange,
evoking energy, enthusiasm, and
excitement.

Clarkâs Comics
In my âGraphic
Communicationâ class, one
of our assignments was to re-
brand an existing business.
Being a major comic book fan
and collector, I decided to focus
on Clarks Comic, a comic book
and figures shop in
Causeway Bay.

Neck Problems
According to the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University and the Hong
Kong Physiotherapy Association, 70%
of surveyed adults suffered from neck
pain stemmed from excessive smart
phone usage.1
To better convey the modern day
ailment that is âText Neckâ, I took
the aforementioned statistic and
emphasized the issue in my design.
I was also inspired by public service
announcements found on MTR
billboards. I took it a step further
and created a stylistic rendering of a
common scene in our daily commutes.

âStay here or take away?â
The prompt was âDine In, Donât
Take Awayâ.
My aim for the poster was to
cut to the chase and imply
the wastefulness of âtaking
awayâ food over eating in the
restaurant. I collected leftover
trash from classmates and put
them in a pile.
Brands were intentionally
obscured or blurred.
