External Consequences Of Terrorism
Among lots of these outside factors is terrorism – because of the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, particularly against civilians, inside the
pursuit of political aims. The oblique outcomes of terrorism create the maximum danger to the activities of companies and then throughout the supply
chains (Barry, 2004). The consequences of terrorism can cause the reduction customers wanting specific goods and services, due to the mental reaction
of clients. The acts designed to attain beyond the instant target to intimidate a broader audience, to include religious groups, corporations, political
parties, or the whole United States. Terrorism acts aimed at accumulating exposure to introduce political change via impact and strength. Executive
orders, as the Homeland Security Act in 2002, created the color–coded alerts of the Homeland Security Advisory System (HSAS), which replaced with
the National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) ("National Terrorism Advisory System," 2017). The NTAS affects the supply chain through possible
delays and proactive measures. NTAS gives detailed information on terrorist risk ranges and recommends security features to the public, authority's
agencies, airports, ocean ports, and different hubs (Giunipero & Aly Eltantawy, 2004). Changes in government guidelines, legal guidelines, and rules
may additionally take effect as a response to a terrorist threat or latest act of terrorism. After the 9/11 attacks, under President George W. Bush, the

Homeland Security And Border Security
The concept of border security in the U.S. shares a complex and ever changing relationship with global economics, international crime, and terrorism.
In this context border security includes the protection of not only land borders, but also sea and air ports of entry. The relationship between federal,
state and local authorities makes for a unique operation that must be ever changing and evolving to meet new and different threats. This massive
undertaking falls directly under the Department of Homeland Security. Their mission calls on the agency to prevent the illegal flow of people and
goods across U.S. air, land, and sea borders while expediting the safe flow of lawful travel and commerce; ensure security and resilience of global

Clearly there have been no successful airline hijackings that resulted like 9/11 and that being the new standard of achievement we are doing quite
well. What we must focus on is the prevention of something larger and possibly even more difficult, several coordinated small scale attacks.
Unfortunately there is no one size fits all plan that will work for land, sea and air borders. Each, as outlined previously, pose unique and difficult
challenges. One of the most pressing issues to border security is illegal immigration. Not only is it a drain on the economy through entitlement
programs but is a security concern because we just don't know who is coming across the border. As a country one solution is to cut off the incentive
to illegally enter the country. Just the fact that you are very unlikely to be caught much less deported for entering illegally is reason enough to sneak
across the border. Throw in the free medical, food stamps, housing assistance, and education along with the Holy Grail of potential amnesty leading to
citizenship and it only makes sense that someone struggling in Latin American would do anything to get in. What we must work on is a working
system for legal immigration not the system of limited work visas, exile requests and family reunification requests that we are working with now. We
can also work with our neighbor to the south Mexico to continue to stem the flow of narcotics as well as working

International Logistics
Logistics
Logistics is the management of the flow of goods, information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the
point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of consumers (frequently, and originally, military organizations). Logistics involves the
integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material–handling, and packaging, and occasionally security. Logistics is a channel of
the supply chain which adds the value of time and place utility. Today the complexity of production logistics can be modeled, analyzed, visualized and
optimized by plant simulation software.

Third–party logistics(3PL)
Third–party logistics involves the utilization of external organizations to execute logistics activities that have traditionally been performed within an
organization itself. According to this definition, third party logistics includes any form of outsourcing of logistics activities previously performed
in–house. If, for example, a company with its own transport facilities decides to employ external warehouse specialist, this would be an example of
third party logistics.
Business logistics
Logistics as a business concept evolved only in the 1950s. This was mainly due to the increasing complexity of supplying one 's business with
materials and shipping out products in an increasingly globalized supply chain, calling for experts in the field who are called Supply Chain
Logisticians. This can be defined as having the right item in the right quantity at the right time at the right place for the right price in the right
condition to the right customer and is the science of process and incorporates all industry sectors. The goal of logistics work is to manage the fruition
of project life cycles, supply chains and resultant efficiencies.
In business, logistics may have either internal focus (inbound logistics), or external focus (outbound logistics)

Peregrine Trucking Co. recommendations MGT 325 At Peregrine Trucking Company, we attempt to maintain a high level of efficiency and social
consciousness while meeting or exceeding our profit margins. Taking a glance at our financial report, the two largest expense variables that we
currently have are labor and fuel. Neither of these expenses is eliminable in our company; however, we can reduce these expenses slightly. I have
preformed an evaluation of the company and have found that with the fuel prices increasing almost weekly, we need to reduce the amount consumed
by our fleet operations. I have established that the current fleet operational standards, equipment, and the routing techniques are in need of renovation.

(Motavalli, 2010). Selling the older vehicles to the dealer or to another company/person would allow us to offset some of the initial costs of the
new vehicles. If some of the older vehicles are still in working order and there are no major repairs needed, retrofitting the engines to meet the new
standards could also be an alternative. The cost of this is considerably lower than the purchase of a new vehicle and it is still as effective. In
researching the data, I discovered that the use of biodiesel is an alternative fuel source as well. This fuel, a 20/80 mixture, does not require any type of
retrofitting of the engine. This product has the added ability of cleaning out the particles that have built up by the use of using diesel fuel throughout
the engine and fuel system. These particles are expelled via the exhaust or fuel filter. The only cost that will incur would be the cost to replace the fuel
filter during the initial uses of the product until the entire system is clean. (Biodiesel facts, et. al, 2012) Another issue that I found in my evaluation was
the routing of the trucks. There seems to be a miscommunication in the routing department with the inbound and outbound shipments. There is a
system currently, however those that are operating it do not properly communicate "across the desk" so to speak. With this lack of communication
between the inbound and outbound coordinators, the loads are not being recorded properly. This

Control Effective cleaning is one of the most important aspects of any allergen risk management. A "visually and physically clean" Standard is not just

Allergen control of cleaning procedure including:
Remove visible product/residue from all product contact surfaces and above exposed product zones.
Documented visual inspection after cleaning. Verify all validated cleaning parameters (time, temperature, flow, concentration of detergents) are met.

Amazon's Career Choice Program
Some corporations do not have a clear understanding on what the public really wants and what the society expects from a company (Mohr, Webb,
& Harris, 2001). Microsoft knew exactly what the society wants to see regarding its social behavior. The organization is acting in a socially
responsible way, by beginning a process in which the company goes completely carbon neutral across all of the company's operations. Furthermore,
each business unit will be responsible for its behavior. If the process fails Microsoft will lose a lot of money because it is a huge corporation. The
program Microsoft is trying to achieve is good for the environment and makes the company looks good to the public (Grgurich, 2012).
Amazon Corporation is also a great example of a company that cares about its public image. Amazon recently announced a new employee
development program called The Amazon Career Choice Program. Amazon will give all its full–time workers the chance to undergo job training at the
company's expense. The most important accept of this program is that the job the employee is performing has nothing to do with the field he wants to
be working in. This program helped the corporation public reputation because it is helping all Americans to work in a job they are actually interested in
(Grgurich, 2012).

Case Study Of SARK Logistics
Introduction
The First Stone of SARK Logistics was placed down in 2008 as a Custom House Agent in Delhi. After getting an optimistic response from its precious
clients they took a step further and instituted SARK LOSIGTICS as an international freight forwarder.
The SARK Logistics has a perfect lineup of logistics business units inside the field of transportation, forwarding, distribution and other logistics
services. It provides both types of freight forwarding services, air freight forwarding and sea freight forwarding. If one starts exploring for the words
to define the quality of services offered by SARK Logistics, the terms like unexampled and notable appear out to be most appropriate
The essence of their services lies in their technique where attention is paid to each and every possible aspect. Their team of qualified and licit personnel

Its evident from the survey that the company's present customers got to know about it from other exporters/importers or friends. Therefore it is
important for SARK Logistics to amplify its marketing activities and market itself through internet and newspapers/magazines. This would help them
increase its customers base especially when not many new customers have been added in the last 3 years.
пѓјThe company should make an effort to increase its customers particularly exporters as the number of exporters are about half in relation to the
number of exporters. Also with the Government proposing to impose an anti–dumping duty on the import of tyres, the company might lose its
customers who import tyres due to the duty affecting their imports. Additionally the company should focus more on increasing its exporting customers
as the 'Make in India' campaign gains momentum in the economy, there will be a chance of exports rising and thus it'll be easy to find customers who

The Roots Of The European Union
INTRODUCTION The roots of the European Union can be traced back to the early 1950's when a small number of countries made a decision to
join together as a way to resolve any potential conflict nurture economic growth and common values across the continent. There was a desire to
promote common values and membership was opened to all European countries. Since the inception the number of members has grown from a
founding six countries to what we now know as the modern day EU with a current total of 28 countries with a further 8 countries under application
review. In 1992, what was then a group of twelve countries, joined together to form the Customs Community Code which was eventually introduced
in January 1993. The code effectively merged the individual customs regulations in to a single customs union. BENEFITS OF EU TRADE There
are many benefits of trading within the EU, the agreement in 1993 was effectively the start of what we now refer to as the single market, it removed
the borders of a member country for trade enabling the free movement of goods between members without the encumbrance of the customs process
and reducing the need of a significant amount of accompanying documents that was required for goods being moved across borders. Previously it
was necessary for goods to be shipped with certificates of origin, Invoices, packing lists with a full breakdown of package contents. If moved by road,
which is the normal method of transport within the EU, a CMR transport note

The next Bayani Brew drink may yet be another native, healthy, and surely yummy concoction of the nanays we fondly call our Titas. There is just so
much natural goodness of our people and our land left untapped!
Hence, the name Bayani Brew does not just stand for our love of country or "bayan," but also for honouring these unsung heroines (our personal
"bayanis" who not just concocted these delightful drinks); and more sentimentally, for the "bayanihan" effort of local talent, farmers, and social
entrepreneurs to bring this once crazy idea to the market. Bayani Brew wants to be remembered not only for its refreshing beverages, but as part of
brewing a social innovation movement comprising a new breed of Pinoys who are not just learning to love living a healthy and natural lifestyle, but
more importantly, who are bat–sh*t crazy in love with our country.

Market Analysis : The Whole Mexican Market
Market analysis
The whole Mexican market can be divided into three parts, namely the northern, central and southern parts. Since the northern part of Mexico borders
on the U.S., most inbound processing entities are located here; these entities are known as Maquiladora industries. With the aim of boosting the
Mexican economy and creating more employment opportunities, fully foreign–owned companies are allowed to set up in Mexico. Most of these
companies are engaged in assembling semi finished products into finished goods and then exporting them to other countries. Considering the
geographic location, most bonded warehouses, industrial parks and duty–free zones are established in the border area between Mexico and the U.S.
The central part in Mexico includes Mexico City, which is the largest political, economic and population center in Mexico. Most electronic, automobile
and textiles producers choose to build factories nearby because of the large amount of labor and the proximity to the customers. The central part of
Mexico is also equipped with the soundest transportation infrastructure and telecommunication network. However, unlike the other two parts, the
southern part remains relatively underdeveloped. Most agricultural and mining industries are concentrated here. All those natural deposits, including
petroleum, silver, copper, gold, lead, zinc and natural gas have made Mexico an important energy and material exporter.

The Rights Of Rejection Of The Contract
The place of examination is subject to the agreement of both parties. It may be on pre–shipment inspection , nonetheless, it is inconvenient for the
buyer to do so if he is in another country and has no representative at the place of shipment . In Bragg v Villanova , the seller received the documents
and paid the price before taking the delivery and finding that the goods was not of contract quality. The court found that he was considered as not
accepting the goods until he had reasonable opportunities to exercise examination, therefore, he had not lost his right of rejection. The two rights of
rejection in FOB contract are applied at the similar principle of CIF contract as discussed. In particular, if the documents are inconsistent with the
contract, the buyer is entitled to reject them and give the seller opportunity to correct the defects; he may reject the non–conforming goods even though
he accepts the documents . Under section 51(3) of the Sale of Good Acts 1979, the damages are measured by: '... the difference between the
contract price and the market or current price of the goods at the time or times when they ought to have been delivered, or (if no time was fixed) at
the time of the refusal to deliver'. In case of the 'classic' FOB contract, the place assigned in the contract for shipment is deemed the place where the
market is relevant . The time when the goods 'ought to have been delivered' is considered as the time at which they ought to have been placed free on

Why do we have inspections? From long experience, the Army has found that some soldiers, if allowed to, will become careless and lax in the
performance of minor barrack duties in their unit. They become accustomed to conditions in their immediate surroundings and overlook minor
deficiencies. Should a soldier fall below the Army standard of performance, you can be assured that someone will notice those deficiencies immediately.

I Am Working With Other Parts Of The Project
One of the lessons that I have learned through my 4+ years of work experience as an EIT is that a good Engineer must always be aware of the real
life system limitations of any project he/she is involved with. With experience, not only are you able to keep aware of these limitations, but you can
also prepare for them. As Engineers, when we set out to design a product or system, we are working in a theoretical world with no limitations or
constraints. However, out in the real world, there are numerous constraints and limitations that come into play when we are forced to integrate our
design into a functioning tool. Many times, on large projects, I'm working with different groups and subcontractors. When I release an engineering
drawing, I have to understand that it must cooperate well with other parts of the project. This takes a lot of coordination with different disciplines, and
at times poses limitations on your design that would otherwise not be present. In my experience, I had to modify my design many times to better suit
the overall structure and project requirements. In other cases, constraints could be brought upon through legal and/or cosmetic means. For example, I
have been involved in projects where I would draft a design which boasts a solid engineering background. However, for any number of reasons, the
client might not necessarily like something and thus the design must be re–suited to that constraint. However, I have also learned to be mindful in this
area. If

manufacturers "there is more control over quality issues and you can visit your manufacture more often. Shorter construction times with less expensive

If the company can make every base take the same amount of time, they will experience less delays as less cars are stopped waiting for the next
base to open up. There is very little correlation between the KPIs and the process map. They KPIs are focused on measurements such as market share,
customer satisfaction surveys, and comparisons to competitor's prices. None of the KPIs focus specifically on improving the process so there are no
practical, actionable items that the employees can focus on. Without the employees being able to see how they fit in the plan to increase the company's
performance, they can't possibly begin to innovate new ways to improve the process. Management by means seeks to find each individuals place within
the system and to continuously improve the system. In MBM systems the employees help the management improve by offering design improvements,
and the managers, in turn, use this information to optimize the system. The problem is not that the company doesn't have admirable goals, but rather
their process isn't capable of producing the desired results. The goals and KPIs are bold and admirable, but they are not relatable to the process that
will ultimately determine their outcome. The system will produce what it produces; you can't get more out of a system than it is capable of making.

  • 5. Homeland Security And Border Security The concept of border security in the U.S. shares a complex and ever changing relationship with global economics, international crime, and terrorism. In this context border security includes the protection of not only land borders, but also sea and air ports of entry. The relationship between federal, state and local authorities makes for a unique operation that must be ever changing and evolving to meet new and different threats. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clearly there have been no successful airline hijackings that resulted like 9/11 and that being the new standard of achievement we are doing quite well. What we must focus on is the prevention of something larger and possibly even more difficult, several coordinated small scale attacks. Unfortunately there is no one size fits all plan that will work for land, sea and air borders. Each, as outlined previously, pose unique and difficult challenges. What we must work on is a working system for legal immigration not the system of limited work visas, exile requests and family reunification requests that we are working with now. We can also work with our neighbor to the south Mexico to continue to stem the flow of narcotics as well as working ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Taking a glance at our financial report, the two largest expense variables that we currently have are labor and fuel. Neither of these expenses is eliminable in our company; however, we can reduce these expenses slightly. I have preformed an evaluation of the company and have found that with the fuel prices increasing almost weekly, we need to reduce the amount consumed by our fleet operations. (Motavalli, 2010). Selling the older vehicles to the dealer or to another company/person would allow us to offset some of the initial costs of the new vehicles. If some of the older vehicles are still in working order and there are no major repairs needed, retrofitting the engines to meet the new standards could also be an alternative. The cost of this is considerably lower than the purchase of a new vehicle and it is still as effective. In researching the data, I discovered that the use of biodiesel is an alternative fuel source as well. This fuel, a 20/80 mixture, does not require any type of retrofitting of the engine. This product has the added ability of cleaning out the particles that have built up by the use of using diesel fuel throughout the engine and fuel system. These particles are expelled via the exhaust or fuel filter. The only cost that will incur would be the cost to replace the fuel filter during the initial uses of the product until the entire system is clean. (Biodiesel facts, et. al, 2012) Another issue that I found in my evaluation was the routing of the trucks. There seems to be a miscommunication in the routing department with the inbound and outbound shipments. There is a system currently, however those that are operating it do not properly communicate "across the desk" so to speak. With this lack of communication between the inbound and outbound coordinators, the loads are not being recorded properly. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It may be on pre–shipment inspection , nonetheless, it is inconvenient for the buyer to do so if he is in another country and has no representative at the place of shipment . In Bragg v Villanova , the seller received the documents and paid the price before taking the delivery and finding that the goods was not of contract quality. The court found that he was considered as not accepting the goods until he had reasonable opportunities to exercise examination, therefore, he had not lost his right of rejection. The two rights of rejection in FOB contract are applied at the similar principle of CIF contract as discussed. In particular, if the documents are inconsistent with the contract, the buyer is entitled to reject them and give the seller opportunity to correct the defects; he may reject the non–conforming goods even though he accepts the documents . Under section 51(3) of the Sale of Good Acts 1979, the damages are measured by: '... the difference between the contract price and the market or current price of the goods at the time or times when they ought to have been delivered, or (if no time was fixed) at the time of the refusal to deliver'. They become accustomed to conditions in their immediate surroundings and overlook minor deficiencies. Should a soldier fall below the Army standard of performance, you can be assured that someone will notice those deficiencies immediately. Your superiors will order inspections to see that soldiers have all the equipment and clothing issued to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 47. I Am Working With Other Parts Of The Project One of the lessons that I have learned through my 4+ years of work experience as an EIT is that a good Engineer must always be aware of the real life system limitations of any project he/she is involved with. With experience, not only are you able to keep aware of these limitations, but you can also prepare for them. As Engineers, when we set out to design a product or system, we are working in a theoretical world with no limitations or constraints. However, out in the real world, there are numerous constraints and limitations that come into play when we are forced to integrate our design into a functioning tool. Many times, on large projects, I'm working with different groups and subcontractors. When I release an engineering drawing, I have to understand that it must cooperate well with other parts of the project. This takes a lot of coordination with different disciplines, and at times poses limitations on your design that would otherwise not be present. In my experience, I had to modify my design many times to better suit the overall structure and project requirements. In other cases, constraints could be brought upon through legal and/or cosmetic means. For example, I have been involved in projects where I would draft a design which boasts a solid engineering background. However, for any number of reasons, the client might not necessarily like something and thus the design must be re–suited to that constraint. However, I have also learned to be mindful in this area. Due to the nature of the inspections and the cold weather in Iceland, they are much more busy in the summer that they are in the winter. This makes it difficult to keep the right amount of employees. If the company can make every base take the same amount of time, they will experience less delays as less cars are stopped waiting for the next base to open up. There is very little correlation between the KPIs and the process map. They KPIs are focused on measurements such as market share, customer satisfaction surveys, and comparisons to competitor's prices. None of the KPIs focus specifically on improving the process so there are no practical, actionable items that the employees can focus on. Without the employees being able to see how they fit in the plan to increase the company's performance, they can't possibly begin to innovate new ways to improve the process. Management by means seeks to find each individuals place within the system and to continuously improve the system. In MBM systems the employees help the management improve by offering design improvements, and the managers, in turn, use this information to optimize the system. The problem is not that the company doesn't have admirable goals, but rather their process isn't capable of producing the desired results. The goals and KPIs are bold and admirable, but they are not relatable to the process that will ultimately determine their outcome.
