This document outlines the scoring rubric for a written assignment in ECO 202. It evaluates assignments based on length requirements (20%), mechanics of writing (30%), and understanding and application of course materials (50%). For each category, it defines the criteria for scores ranging from exemplary (A- to A) to not attempted (F). Length requirements are judged on whether the paper meets, exceeds or falls short of the required length. Mechanics are based on grammar, citations, spelling and style. Understanding and application evaluate how well the paper demonstrates comprehension of course texts and applies materials.
