ABSTRACT:
• In case of attitude may influence their academic
achievement. The present study highlighted that
there are some prime factors like anxiety, socio-
economical status towards attitudes and academic
performance. The study attempted to determine the
differences and relationship of attitudes and
academic performance among senior high school
students at Martinez Cuyangan National High School
in respect to their attitude towards education and
academic achievement. A sample of (9 boys and 10
girls) of Grade XII senior high school students were
selected purposively.

ABSTRACT:
• The result showed that there was significant difference between their
attitudes towards academic achievement grades, the time period of
study and intervention during Mid-semester to final grading was not
enough to change participants’ attitude towards research. Researchers
recommendation conducting personality development and attitudes
motivational symposium, Integrate in all subjects the preparation for
research format, scholarship grants, guidance and counseling sessions,
Introduce and promote practical researches, Required the teachers to
accomplish research, similar studies should be conducted to
determine other factors that may affect student’s attitudes, long term
preparation to improve attitudes and academic performance.

CONCLUSION
From the foregoing findings, the following
conclusions were drawn:
The students involved in this experimental study were
mostly agreeable to the extent of expressing their
attitudes towards research, at normal range their
attitudes improves after the intervention based on
results stated in the research findings in the
frequency counts.

The participants subjected to
experimental study drawn a dramatic
improvement in their academic
achievement from Mid-Semester to
finals, therefore the intervention (PSI)
were slightly affected both academic
and attitudes.

The students involved in the experimental study
improved their ATR-Factor 1 - research
usefulness for profession which after the
intervention (PSI) seemingly evident that their
attitudes towards research and academic
performance improve overwhelmingly.

The students positive attitude towards research
concluded in F3-ATR have no significant difference, except
of one positive statement that made a difference which is
most students benefit from research was reflected to
improve this attitude to Academic Performance, which
evidently statistical significant difference, the positive
attitude maintained its agreeableness most benefit from
research work that may improve academic performance.

That there was an improvement of the
lowering the level of negativity attitudes
that affects the academic performance of
the students, the intervention from
academic/attitudes (PSI) slightly improves
the two variables.

A minimal negativity towards research that resulted
slightly improvement to attitudes and academic
performance towards research, therefore the time
and period of intervention is not enough to change
the behavioral anxiety of the participants, when
both positive and negative statements of the
attitude improves, the academic achievement also
improves.

ATR Factor 1, 2 & 4, 5 – Attitudes and Academic
Achievement are not statistically significant correlated
except for ATR Factor 3 which is described as I like
research, for as long as they like research, there is a
significant relationship between this attitude and
academic performance, the intervention did not affects
much of the other attitudes, therefore it requires more
time to change or modified their attitudes towards
research.

of their grades from the two grading period.
