1) Everyone looks forward to Christmas in December, when they get Advent calendars with sweets to eat each day and light candles on Advent wreaths each Sunday before Christmas.
2) Popular Christmas decorations include gingerbread ornaments, Bethlehems, and cottages.
3) On December 24th, families have a large ceremonial dinner with traditions like putting coins under plates and floating boats made of walnut shells in water. After dinner, children excitedly open presents from Baby Jesus under the Christmas tree.
4) Families visit each other on December 25th and 26th, exchange gifts, and enjoy festive meals and outdoor activities like skiing while children play with new toys.
6. December 5th we celebrate Saint Nicholas
Day. St. Nicholas, angels and devils come
to school in the morning and to homes in
the evening.
7. They ask children whether they are good. Children have
to say the rhyme or sing song. Good children get fruit
and candy. Bed children can get potatoes or coal and
devil can puts them into the bag and take them to
hell.
8. We bake Christmas cookies-vanilla
rolls,bear paws,bee hives, linz circles and
rods,nuts with stuffing…

soup with cream.Than some people
visit graves of relatives.

and then we pour it in the water. The

23. December 25th and 26th
Families visit and give gifts each

Festive lunch in these days is e.g.
poultry-roast duck,goose or turkey
with cabbage and dumplings. More
people goes to the mountains.They
ski,snowboard,skates. Children make
snowmen.
