• In Spain people are used to
move their hands (and therefore
their arms) a lot while talking.
• For example, it’s very likely to
someone point at his/her wrist
while asking ‘What time is it?
`Since they want you to check
your watch.
• Another example may be
putting together all of the fingers
and pointing at the mouth to say
something related to eating.

In Spain when people meet someone, they Kiss each other on their
cheeks. Among men a hanshake is done instead.

4. THE ‘SIGN OF THE HORNS’
• There is this hand motion in which
you keep your index and little finger
up while having the others down.
• This is used practically worldwide at
music events to show enjoyment.
• However in Spain and other
countries like Colombia this means
to have an affair with someone/ to
be cheating in a relationship (or just
a show of disrespect), but the other
meaning is so well known that it’s
not likely to misunderstandings.
