My father was born in 1973 in Gijón, Asturias. He studied at Ramón de Campoamor school and Escolanía de Covadonga boarding school, where he excelled in music and traveled throughout Spain and Italy performing. After vocational training in electricity and mandatory military service, he obtained his driving licenses and has worked as an international transporter of dangerous goods for over 30 years.

(Siero). She lived there until she was 7 years old, she made her
communion and she studied there. After that she went to live in Granda
(where she lives now), because her father worked in the "Cerveza El

My uncle´s name is Alejandro. He was born on the 16thof
September 1984. He has lived a life marked by a happy childhood
and a good family environment. He received a good educa$on in
public schools, where he got very good marks. He went to primary
and secondary school in Gijón.
From a young age he demonstrated a passion for technology and
finance. Therefore, he opted for a career in telecommunica$ons
and new technologies because he liked it and was good at it.
My uncle has been a sportsperson since he was a li+le kid. He has
played in a football team with some of his friends. Although he
took the bus to school, he also used to go cycling ,which was
dangerous because there were no cycle lanes at the $me.
He loved pets, especially his dog Rocky, which made him company
at home and he enjoyed training farm animals whenever he visited
his grandparents.
His dream to study and work abroad took him to Germany, where
he enjoys a quiet life with quality and good working condi$ons. If

1971 and is 52 years old. He was born in Gijon, being three years
older than his sister, at the age of starting high school he moved
to a house on the outskirts of Pola de Siero where he started at
Rio Nora High School at that time. age he began to show interest
in chess and to participate in some tournaments when he
finished high school, he studied economics at the University of
Oviedo, around that age he met my mother and shortly after

championship and upon finishing it he joined the team at the
University of Oviedo where he won some league and individual
awards. After finishing the degree he started working in a coffee
company, but at the same time he studied a degree in computing
and created a computing company. In 2004 he married my
mother and they came to live where I live now. Around that time
he returned to club where the siero began and they were
runners-up in a league. In 2009 I was born and my sister in 2012.

9. MY FATHER

My father is a songwriter, but he has also been a guitar player,
singer, producer, and many more things in the music business.
He was born on 22nd April 1965, in Noreña, Asturias. He started
playing in bands when he was 16, and since then, he has played in
5 bands. He has recorded 5 albums, writing all the songs in 4 of
those albums. He has toured Asturias and Spain, playing tiny
venues, theatres, and international festivals. In 1988 he won an
award for best song of the year in Asturias.
At the moment he is still playing in a band, Muzakeros. They have
many concerts this spring, including one in The Cavern in
Liverpool, the club where the Beatles started playing. They also
have plans to make an album.
Apart from all this, he has always made a living as a teacher.

Tino was born in the town of Argüelles, Asturias, in 1948. Since his
childhood, he demonstrated love for agriculture and beans.
Raised by Emilio and Isabel, Tino found his calling in working the
land. From an early age, he helped his family in agricultural work,
growing beans. Tino had 6 siblings which were 3 sisters and 3
brothers (with the 4th). One of his sisters is my grandmother, Maria
del Carmen, my father's mother. He also has 1 son whose name is
Martin.
Over the years, Tino became an expert in growing beans. Thanks to
him and my grandfather, beans are very important in my family. My
parents have a company called Guañu with beans from the seed that
he grew a long time ago.
More than a simple farmer, Tino was well known by Siero, since he
was also a comedian and made everyone laugh.
Through his life, Tino reaped not only beans, but also friendships and
a lot of love in Argüelles.
Although Tino is not among us, due to a lung disease, he will always
have a place in the hearts of all of us who know him.

My father, Eliseo was born on 31th July,
1973 in Gijón, he is 50 years old. It is an
international transporter of dangerous
goods (it transports flammable,
corrosive, reactive substances,
chemicals, etc.) in a tanker lorry. He has
4 siblings, a total of 5, two older sisters,
his twin and a little brother. He studied
until the fourth year of EGB at the
Ramón de Campoamor school in Gijón
and from fourth to eighth year of EGB
he was at a boarding school at the
Escolanía de Covadonga.
In the Escolanía de Covadonga, apart from the EGB, they studied music,
singing and playing an instrument. He was the soloist in the choir and he
played the violin. In its time, the Escolanía travelled to different places in
Spain and abroad. They went to Madrid, Barcelona, León and abroad to
Italy, Bologna and Venice. Thanks to those trips, my father met very
important people, such as the Kings of Spain, Pope John Paul II and an
Italian actress called Gina Lollobrigida. They also sang in Italy with the
Scala of Milan with that actress Gina presenting the event and attending
the event of Pope John Paul II.
After EGB, he did an electricity vocational training. At the age of 18, he
did his mandatory military service in Ceuta and later worked in
construction. He obtained all his driving licenses and began working with
lorries and buses until today, when he has been working in the chemical
products transportation company for 25 years.

Graciniano, which everyone call him Graci, is my dad.
He was born the 8th of September of 1971 in Oviedo. He has 3 sisters, one
older than him and the other two younger. When he was little he lived in
several places, because his mother, that is, my grandmother, who was a
teacher, had to changed the schools she toughts and go to another in a
different place. When that happend all the family moved to that new place. His
last home was in Bobes, where my grandparents live already. The house is very
big and had a big ground, my dad tolled my that when he was young he used
to play there with his sisters and his dogs.
His favorite sport was rollerblading, and he was really good. Then he left it and
started running, which he still does today. Thanks to him I started running and I
love it. He also liked football, but he never played in a team when he was a
child, we used to play with friends in the park only for fun and now he plays
with us He´s really good and I love going to see him run mountain races. When
he was young his dream work was been an archeologist, but then he decided
to be an engineer as his dad, my grandfather.
My father met my mother in a mountain route, because they had common
friends. My father is not very open to people at first, but then he´s nice, kind
and funny, which is really great. Other thing is that he doesn´t like tooking
about his childhood, so I know a few thing of him.
Now a days he´s 52 years old, he stills works as an engineer and he´s the best
father I could never have.

of April in Oviedo.
She is the oldest daughter of Juan Carlos (my grandfather) and
Alicia (my grandmother). She lived in El Berron (where he

Later on, her family moved to Sariego, and she studied at
Salvador Vega Berros the place where she met people who
remain as her friends nowadays.
A*er finishing studying, she decided to prepare opposi'ons in an
Academy while working full 'me. Her first job was at “Deportes
Yosa” and she worked there for five years. Meanwhile, she met
my father, they bought a flat together in El Berrón, married and
had a daughter (my sister Daniela). A*er Daniela was born, she
start working in Mercadona and in 2009 she became the mother
of a large family when my brother Lucas and I were born.
As well as spending 'me with us has several hobbies my mom
has other several hobbies like hiking, skiing, padelsurfing and
traveling.
In my opinion, my mom is a hard-working and affec'onate
woman. I think that she is the best mother in the world

22. Biography of Daniela (my sister)

Daniela was born on the 22nd of December in 2006, in the HUCA
hospital Oviedo. She is the eldest daughter of Gabriel and Aroa.
She has been living in El Berrón, Asturias, since the day she was
born, the place where she went to school later on her life. Her
early years were happy, as she got to spend a lot of (me with her
family. By the (me she was two years old she a)ended to Los
Campones primary school, where she would spend the next 7
years of her life, at that (me she met a lot of new people, and
she discovered many of her passions, like wri(ng stories, reading,
and skiing.
She started a)ending to the IES Escultor Juan de Villanueva in
2018. The first and the second year weren’t easy for my sister,
she felt like she didn’t belong anywhere, and her marks weren’t
really good. She spent most school breaks on the library where
she found a lot of interes(ng novels that made her fall even more
in love with literature.
However, a5er quaran(ne she started the new school year with
a goal in mind, improving her marks to be able to gain a
scholarship that would pay for her studies in the U.S.A. Since
them she became an incredibly hard-working person,
determinate to prove her worth. She applied to the scholarship
and passed all the rounds without problem un(l the interview
day. Proud of herself as well as nervous she answered all the
ques(ons, and unfortunately, she didn’t get the scholarship. She
became upset for a while, as she felt like all her work had been
useless, but nothing can drag her down for so long. S(ll focused
on her studies she began to write more seriously winning a few
awards. This may she will be gradua(ng from bachiller and she

Her name is Daniela.
She was born on January 9, 1987 in Braila
Romania (37 years old). Her parents are: Lucian
and Geana. She has two brothers: Vasilica (13
years older, psychologist) and Aurelian (8 years
older, baker). In December 1989, there was a big
-re in the house and she almost burned down,
luckily her brother got her out. She studied in the
town’s schools: Grup Școlar Industrial Însurăței.
When she was 12 years old, his father died
suddenly at the age of 45. At the age of 14, she
won a Miss pageant. A few years later she was
elected delegate of the institute and represented
the institute in the region. She took a computer
course. In high school she chose the branch of
humanities. When she was 17, she ran away from
home and went to live with her boyfriend, she
stayed at his house for a few months, he hit her
and she returned to her mother’s house. In 2005,
on March 23, at the age of 18 and without having
-nished 2nd year of high school, she left

living in Nava, in December 2008 they moved to
Villaviciosa. She continued working for a season
and then was without work for several years. At
the end of April 2009, the two went on vacation
to Romania. On June 18, 2010, she married her

in Feleches. That same year she began studying
the intermediate degree of Technician in
Pharmacy and Parapharmacy in Cerdeño,
(Oviedo). In 2013 she -nished her studies and
did an internship in a pharmacy. In 2014 they
began the process of adopting a girl from
Romania, María. In October of the following year,
the three of them would already be living
together in a house in Lieres. In the following
years she dedicated herself to taking care of the
home and her daughter. During this time she was
taking several distance courses related to the
Administration and preparing for competitive
exams. During these years she also discovered
that she liked the world of cosmetics, makeup
and photography and began creating content on
various social networks becoming a
microinfluencer. In July 2017 they bought an
apartment in Lieres, they were renovating it until
January 2018 where they have lived since then.

a cashier in a supermarket.

Teverga, on July 6, 1943. She is 80 years old. My grandmother has two

Gijón where she started working in a
nougat factory and after a while in
another soda factory, where she met
my grandfather's sister and thanks to

my father was born they moved to Pola

She was born the 11th of Septembre, 1943. She lived with her parents, her two
sisters and her brother in a house in Villaviciosa.
She started school with 6 years and finished it with 12 years, because she had to
take care of her little sister with down syndrome. From the age of 14 she had to do
housework because her parents needed to go to the the field to work.
When she was 17 years old she started working in a hair salon as a manicurist and
with 20 years she got married with my grandfather. He worked in the mine.
One year later my grandma had her first child, a boy (my uncle). She had to work by
herself because she didn´t have any help.
After four years my grandmother had her second and last child, it was my mother.
She had to work more because her two child were too small and also she worked
with a knitting machine weaving clothes to sell them or for her kids.
She was a period of time going to houses to clean them and earn money.
Some years later my uncle opened a sweet shop and with my grandma´s help they
did biscuits, cakes, cupcakes, chocolates... She continue working there until she had
74 years old.
Nowadays she had 80 years old and she continue doing houseworks and taking car
of my grandfather, because he´s not very well.
She´s a wonderful woman, she works a lot and helps everybody. I love her so much.

mother and my uncle.
My grandmother loves mexican music, and she goes to the
disco twice a week.
Nowadays she lives in Pola de Siero, she moved from

She traveled to many different places like the Netherlands,
Colombia, Cuba, etc... Her favourite city in Spain is Benidorm,
because there are lots of discos. This summer I went to
Benidorm with her.
She has got many friends, but her best friend is a girl called
Rosa.

I couldn´t find any photo of the discos she goes to, and she
didn´t have any in her phone. One of the discos is called

I am going to talk about my grandmother, because is a person that i love so much
and i admire her live.
My grandmother born in the 17th October in 1948. In Zarza de Granadilla,
Cáceres, Extremadura. In a farmer family that work in the field. My grandmother is

because they didn´t have so much money.
When my grandmother growns up, her father sent my grandmother to a teacher to

childrens there. But in the college, the children were leaving to London to study
English and my grandmother didn´t want that, so she stayed in Bilbao, with her

Years later my grandmother mets my grandfather and married he and then my
aunt and my mother born.
Actually my grandmother have a beautifull life with her family and her friends. She
went to a new school to adults to study in her town and she signed up to a
association to womens and she actually is doing teather and she learns culture and
travels with her friends. All the Sunday she meets with her friends to have a cofee
at 12.00 and in the afternoon she goes to the mountain to have new routes to

My brother called Hugo was born the 10th of March of 2004 so he now has 20. He started going to
school by the age of 6 in Montoto school where he was one of the best students from the begining

She lived in Ciaño a town here in Asturias,
until she was 9 years old, when she moved

My mom had as hobby dancing and she

In 2004 she got married with my dad and

adopted a cat that was critical and in the
same year she moved or the last time to

obtained a commercial high school degree. In addition, she has
a dental prosthetic degree, whose training she completed in
Spain.
She became independent at the age of 16, had a 13-year
marriage from which her children Alessandro Nahuel and
Tizziana Valentina were born, she divorced in 2013, 2 years
later, she arrived in Spain and married again, with Fernando
Gabriel, From this union Nicolás was born.
At 30 years old, she was in charge of an animal shelter with 150
dogs. As a curious fact, she says that as a teenager she
traveled by boat every weekend to Uruguay to enjoy the
beaches of Punta del Este, with friends, to rest from her
weekday job in hardware and software sales.
Today, she lives in Pola de Siero, Spain. With her husband and
kids. She has been working as a dental prosthetic, and she also
does yoga in her free time.

43. BIOGRAPHY OF MY MUM

She was born in Santolaya and lived there until she was 12. She
has one sister who is 3 years older than her. When she was little,
she played with her friends in the village. With her father she
went every day to her grandparents' house who lived near her
house.
They had a dog called Troski a German shepherd, and they also
had chickens and rabbits that she used to play with. She also
went to pick apples and cherries and, in the spring, to see the birds'nests.
She went to school in the village until she was 8 years old, the children from all grades studied
together but the boys and girls were separated. She remembers that her teacher was
extremely strict and even hit the children if they behaved badly.
From the age of eight she came to Pola de Siero to school and high school, what she liked
most was reading and writing and she won some prizes for writing stories. She went to the
University of Oviedo and studied economics and when she finished, she did a master's degree
in financial and tax law. At the university she made many friends and that was where she met
my father. At the University she had a lot to study, but also during the weekend they went to
university parties.
As soon as she finished her degree she started working and
bought her first car, a Fiat one. Every summer she went
camping with her friends and they had a fun time. She liked
to play sports and go out into the mountains, and she still
does that.
She always worked as an accountant and when she went to
university, she gave private classes to children to earn money
with which she bought clothes and went on vacation in the
summer.
After many years of dating, she and my father got married and
went on their honeymoon to Costa Rica and there began her
passion for traveling. She has been to more than 25 countries,
for example, China, India, Guatemala, Mexico, Senegal,
Norway, Cuba. They travelled around the world for 12 years
until I was born and now, they travel to closer places with me.
During her travels she has learned about diverse cultures and
has also experienced adventures such as riding an elephant, fishing for piranhas in the
Amazon or climbing volcanoes, in addition to meeting people from other countries with
different customs and making friends.
She really likes the beach and the mountains, going for walks and playing sports.

Siero but he have study a module of sound and in summer he used to go to partys and put
music.when he was 14 years he used to play football in berron and when he was 16 he quit
football then he started prac,sing boxing, he also used to like basketball.

BIOGRAPHY
Yaiza, my sister, was born on November 4 of 2003; she is currently 20 years old. She was
born in Oviedo and raised in Muncó, Siero, where she is still living with her family.
She started her early childhood education on 2006 at the age of almost 3 years old at the Peña
Careses School in Pola de Siero, where she attended school for 3 years. Then she went to the
Hermanos Arregui school to study primary education, where se met most of her nowadays
friends; she stayed at that school for 6 years and when she finished, she had to choose
between the two local high schools: IES Rio Nora and IES Escultor Juan de Villanueva.
Finally, she decided to go the IES Escultor Juan de Villanueva (mostly because all of her
friends went there and because of the good comunication with her village); at this high school
she attended all the 4 years of ESO and then she decided to continue her bachillerato studies
for 2 more years. In her last year of compulsory education she studied Latin, a subject she
liked so much that he decided to take the humanistic bachillerato, studying Latin, Ancient
Greek, Universal Literature, History and Art History for her last 2 years of high school. When
she finished her bachillerato studies she had to do the EBAU exam to go to college; she took
the exams of History, Enlish, Spanish, Latin and Art History. By the time the EBAU was
done and she had to choose a college degree she was very hesitant between History and
Hispanic Philology (both at the University of Oviedo), but she ended up choosing History,
since she always had loved that subject.
Nowadays she is on her third year of college, so she only has a year and a half left to finish
her History degree. This years she had to choose in area she wanted to specialized in (she
could choose between History of Asturias, Social and Cultural History and Research
Techniques and Methods), and she ended up choosing Social and Cultural History. Since she
started her degree she was very enthusiastic about the ancient history of Rome and gender
studies, so her future plans are to be able to do a PhD on motherhood in the Roman world (so
she one day can work as a researcher and university professor). In this very moment she is
doing her Bachelor's Thesis about wet nurses in the Roman Egypt.
