In Spanish culture:
- Pointing directly at someone with your finger is considered disrespectful. Gesturing to call someone involves waving your hand with the palm down.
- The "OK" sign means "perfect" in the US but can be interpreted as an insult in other parts of the world like telling someone to sit down and turn around.
- Punctuality is more relaxed in Spain - people consider it good manners to arrive early but lateness is not seen as a serious problem. Dinner is typically later, from 9-10pm, and Spaniards often take a nap after a late lunch.
