TEACHERS EVALUATION
SYSTEM
Aims of the meeting
• To share information about changes to be implemented to the
Teachers Evaluation System as from next year.
• To invite teachers to take an active role in making decisions
regarding the different aspects of the evaluation system.
• To share an action plan for the next two months.

Difficulty in measuring performance in an effective way
There is a procedure for allotting groups that cannot be followed/
explained clearly to all teachers
• To measure teachers’ performance in a more reliable and effective
way
• To allot groups according to “Procedimiento 47”
• Criterio de adjudicación de grupos
• Los grupos serán adjudicados teniendo en cuenta los siguientes elementos:
• i. Evaluación (50%) + cociente por dedicación previsto por la administración
(50%)1
• ii. Antigüedad en el horario y en local que corresponda
• iii. Profesores que hayan perdido grupos en el año/semestre en curso2
• iv. Profesores que soliciten cambio de días u horarios en el mismo local
• v. Profesores que soliciten traslado de un local a otro
• vi. Profesores nuevos titulados
Aims of the changes
• 5 aspects – Each weighs 20%
• Lesson Observation (20%)
Stages:
• February 2019- Pre-observation meeting in order to inform teachers about the
observation process, discuss different areas of best practice and teaching
quality and share observation forms
• March – April / July- August – Directors and teachers agree on groups they will
be observing and dates for observations
• May- June / September - October – Observations take place
• July / November – Feedback sessions take place
• Pre-observation Form

• Post-observation Form
• Feedback form

• Teacher Development (20%)
• Workshops and training sessions offered by Anglo (10%)
• Other areas of teaching development (10%)
• Percentages/ areas to be defined by teachers

• Directors will have a meeting every Friday to share progress
• By 14th November – percentages will have been defined/ Excel
document will be ready
• By 14th December – Teachers Evaluation System Handbook will
be ready
• February 2019 – Induction sessions

Teachers evaluation system

  • 2. Aims of the meeting • To share information about changes to be implemented to the Teachers Evaluation System as from next year. • To invite teachers to take an active role in making decisions regarding the different aspects of the evaluation system. • To share an action plan for the next two months.
  • 3.   • 4. • To measure teachers’ performance in a more reliable and effective way • To allot groups according to “Procedimiento 47” • Criterio de adjudicación de grupos • Los grupos serán adjudicados teniendo en cuenta los siguientes elementos: • i. Evaluación (50%) + cociente por dedicación previsto por la administración (50%)1 • ii. Antigüedad en el horario y en local que corresponda • iii. Profesores que hayan perdido grupos en el año/semestre en curso2 • iv. Profesores que soliciten cambio de días u horarios en el mismo local • v. Profesores que soliciten traslado de un local a otro • vi. Profesores nuevos titulados Aims of the changes
  • 5. • 5 aspects – Each weighs 20% • Lesson Observation (20%) Stages: • February 2019- Pre-observation meeting in order to inform teachers about the observation process, discuss different areas of best practice and teaching quality and share observation forms • March – April / July- August – Directors and teachers agree on groups they will be observing and dates for observations • May- June / September - October – Observations take place • July / November – Feedback sessions take place • Pre-observation Form • Observation Form • Post-observation Form • Feedback form Aspects to be assessed

  • 8. •Students’ Retention Rate (20%) •How to measure? •Define retention •Include a period of two years •Measure the teacher’s retention rate and define percentage by comparing it to the expected retention rate for each group/level •Aspects to be defined together with teachers Aspects to be assessed
