26. Myths and realities: TRUE or FALSE?
• There may be more than 2 speaking examiners
in the room.
• Writing is only in ink.
• June is more difficult than December.
• Writing is the most difficult paper.
• The only valid answers in the reading paper are
the ones on the mark sheet.
27. Myths and realities: TRUE or FALSE?
• In the marksheets you can only shade in
pencil.
• Points are discounted from wrong answers in
exercises.
• When they correct your writing they draw a
line if you write more words than you should.
• In key word transformation (U of E) you only
write the part of the sentence you transform.

• You can make a rough copy in writing using
the blank pages of the booklet.
• If you don’t answer all the questions in an
exercise they invalidate it.
• Some papers are more difficult than others.
• You can change the exam date after you’ve
