THE NEW
SPARKLE OF
WOMEN'S
POWER
The rising number of women making a noticeable
impact has been visible in several sectors of
education, science, technology, research, banking,
media, sports, and other business sectors. The leadership
role in the business sector has been driven by smart,
dynamic, and visionary stalwarts, which have seen a
prominent surge of businesswomen in recent decades.
The presence of women in leadership highlights an
environment that has progressed beyond gender
discrimination. The new-age business dynamics are
associated with excellent work performance, leadership
qualities, and influential and inspiring initiatives, that
culminate in productivity and profitability.
For a long time, women have been handling the second-in-
command positions in the executive level,
workplaces—including department heads, general
managers, junior officers and directors—were reserved for
their male counterparts. Statistics reveal that women have
been efficient performers and distinct contributors at the
management and executive levels. In the business and

financial services sector, women account for 37% of
financial analysts, 53% of financial managers, and 61% of
accountants, while only 12.5% of them hold key positions
as CEOs and CFOs in Fortune 500 companies.
But times are changing, and the trends are making
significant shifts. Today, women are applauded as equals,
proving themselves capable of being in frontline positions.
Reaching the top corporate ranks may be a challenging
aspect for women, however, many females today are seen

COVER STORY
12. good sculptor carves out a life of success.
AHowever, a great sculptor carves out a life of
significance from a life of success. Small town girl,
born in a very traditional Rajput family and brought up in a
protective environment, Shilpi had ambitions and she
strongly believed that life could be molded into any shape
resonating with the willing intensity of the sculptor. In the
domain of business, these sculptors are called human
resources or people’s leaders.
Sculpting An Amazing Charisma
Shilpi did her bachelor’s in computer applications (BCA)
from the Institute of Management and Research and
PGDIM in from Amity University. Her inclination towards
business administration took her to pursue a Master of
Business Administration in Human Resource
Management/Marketing from one of the top business
schools, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad to
course her own professional career on the path of
monumental success and awe-inspiring excellence.
Today, having over a decade of experience in people
management, PR, marketing, Business Development, and
administration, it is no surprise that Shilpi has been
awarded as Top 100 HR Leaders by ET, Most Promising
Woman Leader in HR by Zee, and many other awards and
accolades from national and international media. Shilpi
started her career with Airtel, New Delhi, in 2004 as HR
Coordinator, and an end-product Trainer. Then she joined
the very prestigious Times Now Media as HR Business
Partner in 2006 and played an HR Relationship Manager’s
role for all non-editorial departments. Further, she was also
a part of the core team for the launch of ET Now.
Motherhood gave her the perennial dilemma of choice: To
work or not to work. She did not want to choose not to
work at all and represent a loss to collective investment in
talent. But a choice was to be made!
So, with an 18-month-old daughter, she decided not to take
a sabbatical, but become her own boss. She chose an option
that would give her the freedom to shadow her daughter all
the time while successfully setting up the franchise of the
Kangaroo Kids' Initiative in Worli along with an HR
consultancy. Right from budgeting, particularly in its
infancy, to recruitment, training and further marketing and
advertising to create and maintain the brand image in South
Mumbai, Shilpi looked after multiple aspects for Corporates
and Education Systems across the country—Developing,
coordinating, and implementing overall policies and
procedures, training, recruitment including campus
recruitment; for MNCs across the globe.
Once her daughter was independent, she got back into the
corporate world after seven years. She joined the Taj Group
of Companies as Head of Human Resources and after that
short stint, Shilpi joined Della by Jimmy Mistry at the
beginning of 2017 as HR Head.
Shilpi shares, “Della by Jimmy Mistry offers a
comprehensive luxury furniture range for Homes, Offices,
and Hotels with over 250 stately collections to choose from.
Our indoor and outdoor furniture is an incredible
amalgamation of eccentric design, intricate details, and
unparalleled quality, rendering a luxurious appeal to any
space.”
At Della Concept Stores, Shilpi was hired to handle the
entire employee lifecycle. Later, Founder, Jimmy Mistry
got her to understand the nitty-gritties of the business and
its stake holders and further she headed multiple
departments to sense the culture of the company and
bridged the gap using her emotional intelligence and
analytical skills.
Shilpi Singh–the Director of Della Leaders Club
(DLC)–thrives with a unique approach through her traits,
highlighting an exemplary people’s leader and helping
thousands of professional individuals to succeed and shape
their own lives into significantly magnificent sagas.
During the first wave of the pandemic, Shilpi, being one of
the founding team members of Della Leaders Club
(DLC)–World’s first business platform–was promoted as a
full-time Director. According to Jimmy Mistry, DLC’s
Founder, most leaders start with a great idea and immense
passion; what they never start out with is a handbook.
Today we live in an age where there is an App for
everything.
Even though domain knowledge and trade organizations are
plenty, there doesn’t exist a single business platform with
unbiased, curated, and geared content for time-starved
Entrepreneurs and C-Suite. Thus, the inception of DLC was
solely to provide its members with a 360° support platform
of a Global Community of Like-Minded Peers.
At DLC, Shilpi utilizes her skills and expertise in New
Market Expansion and Operations Management.

And they have a long

,
14. Shilpi’s Personal Vision and Ambition - “Empowering
single women’s full potential.”
Shilpi has a cause really close to her heart. Being one of
the most networked and respected women professionals of
the country, personally she wishes to support single
women and empower them. Her strong beliefs and
opinions are highly progressive and quite controversial to
traditional beliefs about women.
Her determination to be vocal about women’s issues is
highly inspiring. Separation from her husband after 11
years of marriage led to some unimaginable difficulties in
her life. She believes that she has no regrets, as this
chapter in her life has given her more confidence,
independence, and empowerment. She considers her
daughter and her mother as her only constant motivators
and the reason that she has succeeded in getting through
all these difficult phases.
Despite of the extremely difficult circumstances, Shilpi
hustled on to the best of her strengths and abilities. She is
the epitome of power and an inspiration to many.
Her latest passion, Sculpting Careers Pvt Ltd, shall
primarily focus on empowering single women. Sculpting
Careers shall help plug in the right talent to the right job.
Shilpi is spearheading the enterprise to help people
identify their talent and find the apt career for themselves.
Single or separated women all over the world have fought
against all odds for their rights and to make a place for
themselves in a very competitive world.
A message that she wants the readers to take away from
this, is that gender should never define the work that one
does.
And each one of us are capable of endless things.
So, identify your true potential, be the girl boss that you
are and go for it!
Shilpi wishes to be active in humanitarian work and
agitation for women’s professional careers in the years
thereafter. Shilpi’s inspirational story of endurance and
perseverance is the definition of a ‘never give up’ attitude.

18. Ma'am, what was your inspiration behind venturing
into the professional corporate arena?
There is no one right way to get inspiration. It is deeply
personal and derives from what is important to you and
what drives you. But no matter where you find it, it is often
an integral part of what keeps you going when times get
tough. Being around passionate people. They are always
contagious for me and they get my juices going. And they
come from all walks of life, not just famous artists, or
musicians.
I remember a summer job I had in college where I worked
in a warehouse as a puller and packer. It's about the most
boring job you could ever imagine. I really liked one of the
older guys that worked there as he was super intelligent,
and we always had great conversations at lunch. He rode
the forklift around with a big smile and would tell me to do
my best and be the best at the job I was doing, no matter
what. He exuded passion for his job when he was on the
warehouse floor. It made everyone feel good. I think of him
all the time when I interact with anyone on the job.
What professional values and qualities do you think
your clients value in you and Vamstar the most?
Whether you're sprucing up your resume, preparing for an
interview, or trying to improve yourself as an employee,
focusing on professional values in the workplace is a good
place to start. Some of the same values that make you a
good person are also highly regarded in employees. Some
of those values that work for me well are:-
Ÿ Flexibility and Adaptability
Ÿ Self-Motivation and Ambition
Ÿ Professional Demeanour
As an experienced professional, what would you like to
advise the budding aspirants willing to enter the
business world?
As a Human Resources Officer, I've painstakingly learned
the importance of heeding the best business advice I've
received from many of the world's top founding members
and business owners. The bottom line: It takes a lot to start
a business and grow it to profitability. Funny enough, the
most impactful lessons have come from my biggest failures
though. You have to constantly trust and empower your
people.
How do you envision Vamstar's operations with the
emerging technologies and automated tools that are
revolutionizing the business world by enabling
innovations?
In today's transformative business environment, emerging
technology has a decisive role to play in an organization's
innovations, customer experience, and overall success. On
one hand, business leaders have the greatest insight into the
organization's needs and objectives, and likely have new
ideas on how to achieve those objectives. On the other
hand, the CIO has the greatest knowledge of what is
possible — along with an understanding of emerging
technologies and how they can be used.
Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI),
machine learning (ML), augmented reality (AR) and
Internet of Things (IoT) can help organizations scale on
demand, improve resiliency, minimize infrastructure
investments, and deploy solutions rapidly and securely.
Potentially disruptive emerging technologies such as
quantum computing threaten to revolutionize many
industries, as well as pose significant risks businesses must
manage in the coming years. More importantly, these
technologies can help companies create powerful
transformations within the organization that can drive
additional revenue and set it apart from the competition.

20. Comprehending
Businesswomen in
Economic
Development
The results explained the significant impact of
women's entrepreneurship on the economies of the
world. It was observed that women's participation
in entrepreneurial activities supports their family income
and plays a significant role in society's economic
development and social well-being. This study uniquely
addresses the contribution of women entrepreneurs in the
world economy which is still an unseen but powerful
benefactor of development.
It is the reality that when women would be empowered as
entrepreneurs then the whole society gets benefits from it,
as women entrepreneurs are beneficial for not only
economic development but also social development of
society.
Inspiring Role Models
Modern businesswomen leaders are influential individuals
who are perfect in every aspect of their looks, behaviour,
communication, and performance. They are known for their
virtues of discipline, timeliness, focused work, and
emphatic expression of gratitude. Women leaders inspire
and motivate the workforce through their focused and
pinpointed address to the business vision and ethics. Their
charismatic personality spreads an air of confidence and
induces the desire for productive work. People working in
various teams look up to women leaders for direction,
emotional support, and professional belonging. The impact
they create through their unidirectional instructions has
propelled the workforce in creative contribution, proactive
initiatives and dedicated working.
Opportunity Generators
Planning the business functions in a strategic order, women
leaders have focused on enhancing the opportunities of the
organization through tie-ups with several enterprises by
supporting their businesses through the current facilities.

from consistent business sources, thereby safeguarding the

of the year. Leveraging on the resources of other
companies, businesswomen have looped them in the
supply-chain cycle as an integrated partner, thereby
maximizing the organization's productivity in multifold
without any limitations on the production capacity of the
internal facilities. Making the business organization as an
important hub of opportunities, business associations and
supportive activities.
Innovative Idea-Boosters
Identifying different new ways of working and executing
the work processes has become the need of the time. The
changing schedules, shuffling of priorities, fluctuating
volumes, and the need for polishing the teams for making
them robust and agile in taking the pressure, have triggered
the businesswomen in working on new ideas and concepts
that can make things easier and quicker. There are several
ways of developing solutions in the business process which
they seamlessly initiate by conceptualizing critical changes
that simplify the process flow and expedite multiple tasks
effectively. Through the active brainstorming sessions of
various employees, the women leaders have enhanced the
momentum of the new idea generation which has greatly
helped in optimizing the resources and increasing the
productivity of the people.
Business Enhancers
Implementing new policies and communication strategies in
the marketing and sales operations, the women leaders have
led the organizational growth in different business sectors.
Developing and implementing modern systems of
communication and better coordination with the clients,
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has been very
rightly implemented in the system. Industry analysts have
attributed to around 22 percent of the business income to
the efficient application of the CRM system and the related
strategies.
Quick in anticipation and implementation of the business-
boosting methodologies, the growth rate of several
organizations has been credited to the dynamism of its
women leaders.
Employment Creators
Businesswomen today, have been instrumental in
developing high-volume business that requires a large
number of the workforce on different levels including
management professionals, engineers, researchers, office
staff, support staff, factory workers, technicians, security,
etc. Their contribution is the employment generation has
been phenomenal by absorbing thousands of people into
their business enterprises. Moreover, through their
initiatives, the businesswomen have influenced several
individuals in becoming entrepreneurs themselves and
joining the bandwagon in becoming ambitious employers.
Business enterprises have created new requirements in high
volumes in the supply of raw materials, consumables, allied
services, and specific requirements.
Contributors to National Income
Female participation in entrepreneurial activities is also on
the rise in recent decades, and it reached around 10 percent
of global entrepreneurship activities. In India, 20.37% of
women are MSME owners which accounts for 23.3% of the
labor force. They are considered to be the backbone of the
economy. According to McKinsey Global, India can
potentially add US$ 700 billion to the global GDP by
increasing women's participation in the labor force. India
has 432 million working-age women and 13.5 –15.7 million
women-owned businesses that provide direct employment
to 22–27 million people. In addition, a number of
businesses are being controlled by women. Indian women
are independent and have a strong motivation to start their
own businesses. Moreover, women-led businesses are
estimated to grow 90% in the next five years.

28. ortune favours the fittest! Fate is a conglomerate of
Fpassion, compassion, courage, daring,
entrepreneurship, leadership, and a never-to-die
attitude. All the attributes one needs to survive and thrive in
the game. The game where leading corporate
communications means relying more on your expertise
rather than on fate or fortune.
Yet, championing this game of Brand Strategy and
Management with elan, Swati Bala, the Lead – Corporate
Communications humbly says that she was fortunate
enough to break the glass ceiling as she took the helm of a
large business.
Swati continues, “I say fortunate because my journey has
been a confluence of coincidences coupled with clarity of
purpose, a lot of hard work, and a healthy dose of good
luck.”
A Roller Coaster Ride
The journey from an executive to leading communications
was a roller coaster ride. The inspiration to get into the
business of Communication came to her during the last year
of her graduation.
Swati had been good at Communication since childhood,
and she realized if not this, then what? She discovered that
PR and Comms is a booming industry and realized she
could do quite well in this domain.
This was when Swati took multiple examinations, pursued
her Master's in Business Administration degree in Public
Relations and Communications from the International
School of Business and Media, Pune, and was recruited to
one of the leading PR agencies of India. She is an English
Hons graduate from Delhi University, completed her MA,
and plans to pursue her Ph.D.
Critical Crisis Communications Management
Throughout a large part of her career, she took challenging
roles and scaled multiple brands/businesses. She was
blessed to handle PR for leading Indian and Global brands.
During her initial career phase, she had cracked some out-
of-the-box stories for her clientele and managed critical
crisis communications. With every new client and crisis,
she challenged herself to do better.
She was now ready to move to lead communications on the
client side and joined a small, medium-sized company.
During this phase of her career, she was given the
opportunity to handle public relations for the entire APAC
region. Within a span of two years, she got the
breakthrough role to manage and strategize
communications of the whole India domain.
Swati Bala currently Leads India Communications for, one
of the top US-based multinational companies.
Transforming Reality by Dreaming Big
Coming from one of the most beautiful towns of
India–Jamshedpur, which is predominantly known as the
'Steel City of India.' Swati has always dreamt of achieving
big. Her sheer patience and perseverance have made her
what she is today.
She defines herself as a fortunate combination of a right-

30. in and becomes a left-brained analytical, detail-oriented
perfectionist.
Investing more than a decade in the Public Relations and
Communications business, she says if she wasn't a
Communications professional, she does not know what she
would have landed into.
She thanks the early days of her career when she had hands
to learn the nitty-gritty of working with multiple brands.
This was when she got in-depth insights into this business,
and with every new client on board, she gained a lot of
confidence. As a very naïve, she was at the forefront of
leading a full-fledged team and was unstoppable.
Learning the Art of Multitasking
There were a series of turns and twists when she started
handling PR mandates for big brands. The experience was
phenomenal but came with a great deal of stress and anxiety
to fulfill clients' requirements. Swati recollects, “There were
days when I ended up handling two-three press conferences
in one day. This was when I learned the art of multi-tasking
and micro-management, which even today helps me in my
day-to-day work.”
Swati reiterates that she has been fortunate enough to
handle the crisis of major telecom and retail chain in India.
There were critical and involved a lot of patience and
attention to detail. Misquoting a statement could have led to
a series of unwanted repercussions.
She mentions, “I owe a lot to my mentor for holistically
grooming me in the initial days of my career. And tutoring
me on the importance of how and when with every
conference and crisis management. Notwithstanding the
fact that challenging assignments teach you the best lessons
in life.”
When it comes to professional values and qualities clients
admire in Swati, one of the primaries is…
Breaking out of her comfort zone
She has liked doing things others have not tried from a
young age. She enjoys challenges and risks that are thought
through. While there is a lot of analytics available, her
choices are also driven by a gut feel, what comes from the
heart, and her passion. The faith and belief in her team also
help her make bold moves and step out of her comfort zone.
Core Values:
#Passion–“I do not give up easily! I'm passionate about
making things happen and pursuing dreams relentlessly.
Focus and determination to get things done are also an
inherent part of me,” states Swati.
Challenges are a catalyst
in my career graph; I certainly
wouldn't have been
here without them.
28 | January, 2023 | www.insightssuccess.in
31. #Collaborativeness–Swati's take is, “I believe in working
with a team of professionals who have a mind of their own
and are as stubborn as me – it is a very potent
combination.”
#Ownership–“In whatever I do, I drive each work with a lot
of love and integrity!” says Swati.
Making Challenges a Catalyst in Growth
Today leading the communications team in India for the
gaming and technology giants–Light & Wonder,
headquartered in Los Angeles–Swati is solely responsible
for creating strategies and working for their internal and
external communications. Swati finds it exciting and, at the
same time, pretty challenging to drive communications for
a brand with close to 2000 employees.
Swati firmly believes that without challenges, there cannot
be any feathers on your cap! She says, “Challenges are a
catalyst in my career graph; I certainly wouldn't have been
here without them.”
She accepts that post-campus recruitment; when she joined
her very first organization, she only had bookish knowledge
of public relations and corporate communications. She
remembers handling one of the PR assignments on day two
of her joining. It was for one of the fashion retail giants. “I
had zero knowledge of what I had to do and whom to
address. The best and worst parts of the PR industry are
incredibly high expectations, and we can't even imagine
going wrong as the stakes are pretty high,” expresses Swati.
A Reflective Wisdom
As an experienced professional, Swati's advice to the
budding aspirants willing to enter the business world is
reflective. She says that everyone defines their own path to
successful career growth. She continues, “Also, growth
differs from individual to individual, so my first suggestion
would be don't get lured or swayed by any other career
ladder. Each of us has our successes and failures and
different ways to deal with them.” What works well with
you might not work with someone else.
Discipline goes hand in hand–with personal and
professional growth, so define that well for yourselves.
In her message to upcoming women leaders, Swati says
that she has seen many women losing great opportunities
due to a lack of confidence. If you're confident you're half
of the work is already done. Kill self-doubt and create your
own space. In her experience, women have repeatedly
proved themselves when given an opportunity.
In her message to budding men leaders, Swati accepts that
she had been extremely fortunate to have been surrounded
by supporting men on her professional and personal front.
She is against gender bias and vigorously advocates
diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. “At the
same time, we should give men the opportunity to voice
and stand with their thoughts. We need to trust their intent
when they want to support us and make our journey easier,”
she feels.
Everyone has a superpower, so learn about it and be
grateful. “Well! Mine is humility- it makes success
worthwhile. I feel we should never let the power and money
get to our heads,” conveys Swati adding, “Last but not least,
practice gratitude!”
On the personal front, while not working, Swati loves
writing! She loves to spend her recreational hours'
deliberating on life mysteries, self–studying psychology,
reading, and catching up with the rest of the world.

33. Business sectors have grown on several influencing
factors including bridging the gap between supply
and demand, operational systems, technological
advancements, people management, customer relations,
diversification, risk management, inspiring leadership, and
more. Business leadership, being at the helm of everything,
has been impacted by the sparkling contribution of women
in business operations. Though they had been active in a
discreet mode, now have stepped into the decision-making
roles of senior managers, CEOs, CMOs, VPs, MDs, etc
steering the organizations successfully.
Women leaders have been the experts in managing the fine
balance in quality to cost aspect, leniency to disciplined
working, the expense-to-return ratio, and assertive
marketing and aggressive business expansion—has been the
crucial influencing parameter of business leaders today.
Impactful Team Managers
Business organizations are people-driven ecosystems that
have several aspects to be handled at different levels, from
multiple perspectives depending on the varied customer
requirements. Businesswomen today have guided and
motivated employees for working towards organizational
goals and objectives. Leveraging on the diverse mix of
fresh talent and experienced contributors, the women
leaders have implemented work procedures that are clear,
easy in understanding, and comprehensive in nature.
Flexible yet Principled
Women leaders are balanced personalities who are lenient
in their approach to considering certain adjustments
offering room for convenience. Yet they stand firm on their

rules and the code of conduct. Businesswomen are very
direct in asking for results and strongly follow
performance-based appraisals. Adopting the modern
approach of giving complete freedom of working, they are
stern implementors of the official regulations to ensure
effective work completion, getting the best possible
outcomes from the employee initiatives.
Competent Professionals
Focusing on the business goals, women leaders initiate the
goal-setting process for different departments. Keeping the
senior line managers accountable and responsible, the
women leaders proactively involve them in the goal
creation, defining, quantifying, and time allocation for each
project. Targeting every project or assignment as a separate
and individual responsibility, they are at the forefront in the
initiation of productive work practices. Structuring the basic
process of reporting and updation helps to keep all the
employees in proper coordination and close loop. Adhering

Considerate Humane Seniors
Understanding the fact that challenges and limitations are a
part of the business, women leaders develop a kind and
humane approach toward the employees. Listening to their
issues, advising and guiding them, and developing proper
channels and committees to resolve organizational
problems— are the key aspects that make them
compassionate and popular leaders. Extending leniency to
the women staff during their monthly periods, offering
maternity leave and special facilities for the new mothers
like a creche, recreational facilities, etc. Women leaders are
adept at handling the needs and requirements of the people.
Knowing their crucial pain points, women leaders have
developed people-centric policies that have made work-life
balance easier.
Focused Business Planners
Working with a focused mindset, identifying the current
productivity levels, and elevating them by optimizing the
resources and the people, businesswomen have been well-
organized strategists who structure the business culture.
Analyzing the risks, taking an overview of the market
situation and the prevailing feedback from the client
organizations, the women leaders plan the organizational
operations in interconnected and integrated models that
support the business objectives. Looking at the big picture,
the businesswomen have been quick in taking crucial
decisions in business integration, collaborations, and joint
ventures with other organizations that amplified the scope
of the business beyond the physical operational capacities
of the organization.
Visionary Leaders
Having a strong belief in futuristic goals, women business
leaders have been very dynamic in developing a big and
far-reaching vision that supports the business working,
enhancing productivity, and guiding the employees in the
right direction. The vision of the organization helps in the
process of goal setting and deciding the course of action
accordingly. Visionary businesswomen have been vital
driving force in steering the organization in boosting the
productivity, enhancing the efficacy and developing strong
work ethic. Through high personal productivity and
generating greater multiplying team efforts, the vision of
these businesswomen has propelled the business
organizations on higher altitudes of progress and expansion.
Progressive Changemakers
Guiding the teams of various functional domains, women
leaders observe and anticipate changes happening in the
industry on the domestic and global levels. Identifying the
influencing factors, they are quick to adapt and change the
business model by steering the organization through the
phases of transition, development, and change evolvement.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic was a classic example of
how businesses struggled and continued with their
operations, reflecting the phenomenal surge of women
business leaders who smartly curtailed costs, directed and
supervised the teams and executed the work proceeding
effectively.

Athe saying that ‘A well-educated woman means a
well-developed society,’ truly learned women have
the ability to transform not only society, but also
communities, nations, and the entire humankind.
And if that woman is an Edupreneur: Educational
Entrepreneur, then the fastest growth and rapid progress of
that nation-state society is guaranteed. This is the story of
one of the noblest, most humble, honest, and dedicated
Woman Edupreneur.
“First of all, I'd like to express my gratitude for reading my
story. My name is Tripti Verma. My goal has always been
to build a company that functions as a large family, with
teams that are highly technological and competent, and to
develop solutions to the issues of millions of people,” says
Tripti–the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer
(COO) of the EdTech Company Study At Home Pvt Ltd.
She oversees and collaborates with her amazing team to
achieve the vision of developing Bharat; the motherland of
billions, as a skilled nation and to continually grow their
business.
Compassionate Solutions of an Avant Garde Mind
Since Tripti was a little child, she loved meeting new
people and learning from them. She used to make friends
with everyone at school, and because of her good nature
and humility, they all thought she could be relied upon or
led by.
She always had that entrepreneurial zeal because she has a
habit of finding solutions to any problems she sees. In fact,
her family used to refer to her as ‘Jugaadu’ because of this
habit. That's also why she decided to take the less-trodden
path of an entrepreneur to address the issues that students
face. “I met students who were preparing for professional
exams and other competitive courses, and I could feel their
pain at not being able to pass due to expensive classes or
not being able to relocate to metro cities,” shares Tripti.
She has also taken a very active role in attending events all
over the country, served as an Executive Board Advisory
Member in youth parliaments, and received numerous
awards, including the Avant Garde Award for Most
Enterprising Woman of the Year and Gold in the
National Level Business Plan Competition. The best
thing is how these incidents shaped who Tripti is today.
At such a young age Tripti is been featured in a talk show
by PMO i.e., Startup Champions 2.0 which was telecasted
on national television.
Moreover, she was invited to GROUND BEAKING
CEREMONY 3.0 held in Lucknow, she presented her
business itself to the Honourable Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi, The Chief Minister of UP, The Defence
Minister of India and many government dignitaries.
Not just that recently she has been honoured by ZEE Media
in one of their flagship event “Udaan – Dare to Dream” for
her contribution to the education sector. The award was
presented by Shekhar Suman.

38. Wonderful Optimism Immersed in Reality
In her life, she has done a lot of trying, testing, and
experiencing. Whether they are being a passionate food
blogger, an ardent Indic warrior, communication and life
coach, public speaker, or involved in a variety of social and
political activities, she constantly advises people to dream
as large as they can and to keep their heads up and their feet
firmly planted in the ground. “Because, from my own
experiences, I've learned that optimism is wonderful but
that we should never ignore reality and make plans in
accordance with it,” mentions Tripti.
She constantly plans everything, no matter how tiny,
because she believes it can help with a lot of issues. She,
along with her Co-founder CA Raj K Agrawal noticed that
the majority of students find it challenging to pay for
relocation costs in addition to the high tuition fees at all the
good coaching institutes.
Ensuring a Great Future for Girls:
It led them to enter the business world to transform the
entire educational system using technology and provide the
best quality education at an affordable price at the
convenience of students to ensure that everyone receives
the best education.
Additionally, it is common that in most places girls are not
permitted to attend coaching outside their cities, “And it
gives me immense pleasure that because of Study At Home,
so many girls are getting a quality education at their home.
We feel blessed that we are ensuring a good future for
them,” expresses Tripti.
Fostering a Battalion of Bright Young Brains
Their extraordinary saga began, when Tripti and her Co-
founder, CA Raj K Agrawal, noticed that the best
professional, higher education coaching institutions were
only available in big cities. They decided to disrupt the
traditional offline education structure and launched Study
At Home Pvt. Ltd. Many students missed out on the
opportunity as a result of exorbitant tuition fees and the
high cost of living in large cities. Online education was not
available back then. At the time, there was a pressing need
for this.
Tripti informs, “In 2018, we changed our minds and
switched from traditional to online practice. We now have
our own battalion of bright young brains working tirelessly
to develop Study At Home. They have impressive skill sets.”

39. Marching Towards An Atmanirbhar Bharat
According to Study At Home, your dedication and the
calibre of the subject matter must come first when it comes
to education. Your professional success is also influenced
by how you deliver lectures and interact with your students
on a personal level.
Tripti says, “I believe that we have 90% Bharat and just
10% India, hence we want to educate our 90% Bharat.”
The Bharat, where 57 % of the population earns less than
₹10,000 rupees a month, speaks and studies in Hindi. The
Bharat which gave birth to Ramanujan, APJ Abdul Kalam,
DR. B.R. Ambedkar, CV Raman, Savitribai Phule, and a
long list of other luminaries as well.
“At the end of the day, we want our nation, Bharat, to be the
skill capital of the globe, independent of everyone and truly
being an ‘Atmanirbhar,” feels Tripti.
Lightening the Darkness
Revealing the challenges, problems and issues addressed by
Study At Home and offered solutions with their USPs,
Tripti says that connectivity to the internet is the main issue.
India has a genuinely limited availability and high cost of
the Internet. On the other hand, online education has long
been connected to the internet. Without it, online learning is
not feasible.
However, Study At Home’s Windows-based learning does
not require internet connectivity. Along with encrypted
videos, it also provides software that allows for offline
video playback. However, the first second of a video must
begin with internet connectivity in order to identify privacy,
merely for a second. As a result, e-learning is now
accessible across all of India.
Second, the vast majority of ed-tech platforms only cater to
academic and competitive exams; they don't provide any
programs for professional growth or skill-building. As
opposed to that, Tripti and her team began offering a range
of skill-development classes including Tally accounting,
PowerPoint, Excel, Personality & Business Development,
Stock Market, and Financial Modelling.
Tripti adds, “Third, online education is pricey—not for
folks like you and me, but for the less fortunate members of
society,” reiterating, “We reside in a nation where 57% of
people make less than ₹10,000 a month.”
Tripti also states that they are extremely affordable; their
rates are one-third less than other e-learning platforms and
one-fifth less than face-to-face classes. They provide video
lectures for as little as ₹50 a month. Their fees are
reasonable and can fit into the budgets of both lower- and
lower-middle class individuals.
Last but not least, practically all EdTech companies solely
provide English-language lectures in video form. “However,
there are 12 times more Hindi speakers than English
speakers in our country,” says Tripti assuring that is why,
Study At Home intends to help the majority of people by
providing sessions in Hindi. Additionally, they hope to start
providing classes in vernacular languages very soon, which
will help rescue other regional languages that are at risk.
A Distinctively Transparent Personality
Tripti’s clientele appreciates the fact that she is frank and
honest with them. Her personality is distinct because she
never pretends or attempts to be someone else. Her clients
appreciate her preference for intelligent work over
laborious labour as well as her perseverance. She doesn't
mince words and believes that being truthful can prevent a
great deal of trouble in the future.
People also appreciate that anytime she makes a mistake,
she accepts responsibility for it, apologizes, and does her
best to learn from it.
Additionally, her clients frequently comment on how
different and effective her communication style is in getting
the job done. Tripti’s commitment to her work and company
is something that people admire, and because of this
quality, investors feel secure making investments in her
business.
Her team always respects the way she leads them because
she never bullies or humiliate them; instead, she inspire
them and help them learn from their mistakes. As a result,
they consistently outperform and never cease to astound
her. This leadership style is another one of her distinctive
traits.
The Most Convenient Fun-filled Education
She has worked with several humanitarian NGOs, so she is
very disciplined, nice, and humble. She constantly looks out
for the people that are left out, and rarely gets angry.
When it comes to her business, she states that her EdTech
firm Study At Home offers online education in the most

40. at prices that are affordable for students, in contrast to other,
more technologically advanced market participants. As a
result, she provides High-Quality Video Lectures along
with live lectures.
It genuinely gives students convenient, internet-free
access to their coursework, E-books and updated exam
series with AI are also available.
Additionally, you can find classes for talent improvement
taught by experts. They integrate India's Top Faculties to
deliver a user-friendly experience with round-the-clock
service.
Tripti expresses, “Study At Home’s position in the industry
is validated and winning the National Start-Up Award for
Education and Skill Development in 2021by our Hon’ble
Prime Minister, attests to our accomplishments without our
having to say so.”
Tripti’s Book of Wisdom
As a seasoned businesswoman and professional, Tripti’s
words of wisdom for aspiring entrepreneurs are astute. She
says no matter what the outside world says, start listening to
your heart. You only live once, so Dream as big as you can.
Never shy away from a challenge because there is no
growth without pain and sacrifices. Be your best friend by
looking within.
Never doubt yourself because nobody else would. You must
confront your concerns and push yourself every day if you
truly want to advance. “I used to be quite anxious when I
started something new, but one day I made the decision to
face my anxieties, and everything changed after that,” she
mentions, “People procrastinate a lot and to be honest, I
used to do it too and I developed a formula to check it and
the formula is that whenever you think that you have to do
something, count till five and initiate that work before the
count of five.”
Tripti admires Sudha Murthy a lot because even after being
the Chairperson of Infosys, she is so humble and grounded
which teaches us all a lesson that never let your success get
to your head and it cost nothing to have humility and
integrity.
So set out, have great dreams, follow your heart, and do
what you love, and success will be yours. “I give my best
wishes to all the budding entrepreneurs who are working
really hard to improve the lives of others and find solutions
to widespread problems,” says Tripti concluding.
