What is salmonella? Solution Salmonella is a gram negative bacteria. It is a bacillus meaning rod shaped bacteria of Enteriobacterieacea family. It belongs to the kingdom Eubacteria. They are basically chemotrops obtaining their enrgy from organic source using oxidation reduction reaction, they can also live with or without oxygen (facultative anaerobes). It is the organism responsible for the spleen infection in Typhoid fever and food born deseases. It can be transmittedd by eating infectious food or contaminated food. REptiles and rodends are likely to carry salmonella..

  • 1. What is salmonella? Solution Salmonella is a gram negative bacteria. It is a bacillus meaning rod shaped bacteria of Enteriobacterieacea family. It belongs to the kingdom Eubacteria. They are basically chemotrops obtaining their enrgy from organic source using oxidation reduction reaction, they can also live with or without oxygen (facultative anaerobes). It is the organism responsible for the spleen infection in Typhoid fever and food born deseases. It can be transmittedd by eating infectious food or contaminated food. REptiles and rodends are likely to carry salmonella.
