Information System
• The ISIS is an international non-profit organization
which serves more than 800 zoos and aquariums in
80 countries worldwide. It provide its members with
zoological data collection and sharing software
called ZIMS-the Zoological Information
Management System. The ZIMS database contain
information on 12,490 taxonomies at special level,
393,641 living species and 3,170,281 reported
individuals in group. ISIS uses the basic biological
information like age, parentage, sex, ratio of death
and place of birth etc. According to this information
they manage their animal collection.
