2. MY LITTLE FRIEND, BRICK
Dear friends, I am going to tell you the amazing
Tetra Brick number 21359781 story but I think
everybody would prefer to call him Brick.
My friend was born in 1963 in a diary factory
from Sweden. When every part of his body was
made and put it together and he was full of
creamy milk, he was sent to a very big
supermarket where he started his life being a
tetra brick
3. One day he opened his eyes. Brick didn’t know
where he was or who were all those unknown
objects. At that time, another brick who was
close to him said:
- Are you feeling well?
He didn’t know how
to answer.
-He’s new and young,
don’t you see? – it replied
another one.
4. Suddenly everybody in the place started
speaking, shouting, arguing, laughing... Brick felt
ill!
Don’t be afraid baby, with a little luck you’ll be
out of this disorder soon – He was calmed down
by a sweet voice.
5. Fortunately, my friend was adopted soon by an
ordinary family. His first days were hot and dark.
He could not see anything but then he was
moved to a cold and bright place. There, he felt
better. Next morning, he was on the table
listening to his family while they were having
breakfast and they were chatting and laughing all
together before going to work or school.
6. As the days went by, he became feeling empty and weak
until one day he was changed by another new one and
Brick was thrown to a deep and smelly container. He
missed a lot those warm and cheerful breakfast
mornings with his lovely family.
Finally, he was sent to a very
big container where everything
was fully dark and smelly.
There were empty boxes, cans,
bottles, rotten food, paper
rubbish. It was really disgusting.
7. By then, people didn’t use to recycle and my
friend felt sick with all that mess.
Inside the container they were always
arguing and shouting among themselves.
Brick realized that that place will be his own
prison for ever and ever.
This is what could have
happened if that situation
had kept going on, so he
decided to plan a
meeting among all
together.
8. At the end, they reached a conclusion: Some of
them will not have the possibility to live again
but others would be able to have the chance of
another new life. Teaching humans to recycle
they will have this opportunity. People only
have to divide their waste into four types of
container. Yellow o red for plastic and cans, blue
for paper and cartoon,
green for bottles
and brown for
general waste.
9. Those prison and dark days are over and step by
step RECYCLING was being developed and
reached everywhere all over the world.
So maybe my friend Brick is now in your fridge
but even if it is he or he isn’t...
