2. TARGET AUDIENCE
• Our primary audience is girls and boys aged between 12-20. The reason
we included girls as well was because the girls which we asked said that
they liked thriller films such as James Bond which is along the same lines
as ours. This also meant that our audience would be bigger which made it
easier to target. We had to think of how to capture our younger audience
in different ways to make sure we got the biggest audience possible.
• Our secondary audience is men and women aged between 30-50. The
reason that those ages are our secondary audience was because of the
other films that we had looked at. We looked at films such as James Bond
and The tourist and those types of ages were interested in those films. We
didn’t think that they would go to the cinema especially to see our film but
if it was on TV then we would expect it to be those types of ages watching
it.
3. VISUAL EFFECTS
•Our target audience, which was older teenagers, primary audience, between the ages of 12 to 20ish. We had
to think when we were making our thriller how we were going to catch their attention. We thought that the last
thing they would want would be boring presentation so we made sure that it was exciting to watch.
• We edited it so that our thriller was shown through different sized boxes. When we first edited it, we hadn’t
thought of the box layout, it didn’t look as good as it does now as it looked like any other tittle sequence. We
wanted to make it different, have a USP which would give our audience a reason top watch it. Otherwise it was
just a boring tittle sequence and our primary audience would have gotten bored and probably stopped
watching the film there and then. Our secondary audience is the middle age, so between the ages of (30-50).
We thought that they would also like the format of our sequence because its easy to follow and to work out
who is playing who. Its not over complicated.
4. As we have a variety of ages as our audience which is 12-20 and 30-50 we had to think of many
ways to catch their attention. We decided to capture them in different ways and one of them
depended on which actors we decided to use. We used a variety of ages. This helps with the
audience as it depends a lot of the actors used. We used some young and some slightly older.
The reason we thought this would help with our audience is because if they were all old then
we wouldn’t be able to capture our primary audience and vice versa. We couldn’t obviously
afford top actors to take part in our tittle sequence. Most people choose their films that they
watch by which stars are in the film. They see who is acting in it and if they are good actors
then they presume it will be a good film.
We wanted to use a variation of
ages in our thriller. We did this
so our secondary audience
wouldn't think that it was all
young teenagers.
We used Theo as one of our
actors because we didn’t
want all of the people in the
change over of the parcel to
be the same age. We also
thought that he would make
it more appealing to our
primary audience.
5. THE ACTION TRIBE
Anyone that likes films where it includes people on the run, a film where
there's always something happening will like ours. You can see in our
sequence this parcel being passed around but the audience wont be sure
from just watching it, what is going on. They should be able to pick up the
fact that there is something in the parcel and that is why its being passed
over the whole time.

6. THE BUILD UP
The main thing that the audience care about when watching a film is whether
or not it has a good storyline. We compared our film ‘The Bearing’ to films
such as James Bond and The Tourist which have both been very successful
films. We obviously haven't got the actors or facility's to make it like them
but the storyline is about a spy on the run. We are aware that boys and girls
aged between 12 and 20 enjoy films like this. It almost makes them excited
as your not always sure how these films are going to end. In the tittle
sequence we tried to make it interesting but not give away to much so then
our audience would be more inclined to watch it.
