The creative opportunity I can see in this project is the increasing skills of photo shop. As this
project requires using graphics Photoshop is great software to be creative and come up with
something original and professional weather it’s creating a poster advert for the Irn-Bru
product. Another opportunity that could be considered in the project is photography as with
the skills I have learned previously can be adapted to this very project and make sure that the
images are my own and also increase the knowledge that I have learned in photography can be
used again in this project.
What technical opportunities for development are available in this project? What technical
challenges could you set yourself? You can refer to your previous experience here.
Again increase the skills I have learned previously in other projects can be developed and also
can be available to this project as well.
Photoshop, photography can all be used, or if we are planning on making a website we will have
to think what appropriate program we can use to make it professional and up to high quality.
How could the skills you are using and developing here be useful in a professional context?
Consider the requirements for different job roles.
As we are creating a product that requires using graphic work and using software such as
Photoshop to make the images you are using more professional and high quality by editing
them and tweeking them this can help you improve your skills and later can be used in the
working world such as a graphic designer. But however this also gives you the skills to think
about the print side of the industry and helps you develop and learn how to advertise this sort
of product in a print based article such as a magazine and think about the appropriate
publication this sort of product could be promoted and how it will need to be presented for the
target audience to be aware.
This project will train you on the different skills that are used in the industry to promote and sell
the Irn-Bru product as the software we will be using will also be used in industry and it helps
you understand on what is required and what techniques are used.
What opportunities for designing for different media does this project give you? Which final
product type interests you the most and why?
This product gives you different media to work with from web design, merchandise, billboards
and TV. There are many ways in which you can advertise this product making it easier and more
aware to people by using the simplest techniques. One idea that I found interesting and very
easy to advertise this product is designing a t shirt. This sort of idea has interested me the most
as it’s easy but also can make young people more aware as t shirts are aimed more towards the
younger audience.
Today as technology is moving fast, even having an app for your phone that will help promote
this product will also make people aware of the drink such as RedBull and other energy drinks.
