1. Burst zoom and fish eye techniques task 3
In my research I have discovered two other different techniques that I have never heard
of before but also found interesting. the two techniques that appealed to me was the
zoom burst technique and the fish eye.
On the zoom burst technique I extremely liked this image based on the colours. You can
see the different burst of colours such as the red and the blue. In my research I have
found out that this technique is similar to the movement technique. As they both require
a low shutter speed.following on you have to set the camera on manual zoom and also
having a wide aperture to create the outward blurred streaks emanating for the centre of
the image make burst. The colours are vibrant and bold making the image eye catching.
By looing at the image it reminds me of a fine art painting as the streaks have blend in
with each other. to achieve a successful outcome I found that the technique works well
on objects rather than on models and portraits. I believe it would not have the same
effect. What I like about the above image is that you cannot tell what the original object
was and the technique has create a completely different image. Its like a mystery and
unknown.
2. here is another image that intrigued me in the zoom burst technique. As you can see by
this image I have selected the image is of a bicycle. using the same settings you can
see the streaks bursting out from the centre of the image. Looking closely at the image
you can see the bicycle multiple times almost looking like its moving and creating an
illusion, tricking the audience. Again the colours on the image compliment each other
with the red, orange, yellow and black, making it look fiery and fierce.
In my research I have discovered that this image can also be created in Photoshop
giving you chance to play with each technique to achieve the zoom burst effect. this
can be found in the photographic filter section creating something that look professional
and high quality.
Another technique that really fascinated me was the fish eye effect. The name of the
technique is simply making feel like you have the same view as fish do based on the
circular lens making the image look spherical. For this technique you would need a 180
degrees camera lens view. the fish eye lens was designed to take sky high pictures
such as from a height to achieve an outstanding result.
3. Here is an image being used with a fish eye lens. The image has been taking from a sky
high view point capturing the image of he location. you can see the spherical shape of
the image making it look circular than jus a flat view. You can identify the technique
from the fields right at the back of the image making it look round. It gives the image a
different effect and also feels circular on the eyes. It makes the image look exactly how
you was to see it if you were at that height making it feel realistic.
