2. Retake of images
I had to retake my images to have a wider range of images, this is so it gives a different variety of shots and
makes it different from images I have already used on the rest of my magazine. I had a image of my model
looking down at the camera I was not able to use this as it didn’t show much of his personality, and was not
clear so therefore I re-took the picture and got him playing a piano and of him on the mic, to show what he
does and fits in with the article on the double page spread.
3. I have used the image of Ade looking serious as it follows the stereotypical pose for a R&B artist to
have, which is to be looking serious. I have got Ade looking at the camera as it will make the reader
feel as if he looking at them making them feel more involved making as if the article is for them.
The image I chose is similar to the magazine which Jay- Z features in. I have flipped
it all around making the image and text on the opposite side, I am not following
convention.
You can see at the top I have included the image I
took again showing how he is in a natural
environment and shows his personality, which his
fans may not see.
Double Page
4. Contents Page
Here you can see the image I took again it shows more about the article
and can make it more interesting to the reader as it shows what he is about
and why he is in the magazine as he is singing in to the mic.
I went against the stereotype as in my main image I have Ade
smiling which you don’t usually see, as R&B artists are seen a
serious ‘Hard’ people.
5. Before
These images show what the
pictures looked like before I
touched them.
To get rid of the
background in these
images I used Adobe
Photoshop CS5.1, and I
cropped out the
background to make it
all transparent, so we
could only see him.
After I Cropped the
background out I
airbrushed his face
and the rest to make
it all look even and
fair.
Just for this image I
used a background
and placed it on a
white background,
so it will stand out
more
6. After
Here you are able to see how I have
used the images in my magazine, so
I have placed 3/4 on with out a
background and one with a white
background.
