2. Digipak
• The main image on the front of the digipak is one of my
favourite images. I put 2 still shots of my actor in 2 costumes
and put them together. I did this in order to portray the
themes of the album which are; different relationships,
different emotions and different personalities.
3. • The image from the back cover of my digipak is a simple still
shot taken from my music video which I think works quite well
as it is an attractive photograph, but it does not detract from
the text or look out of place.
4. • The inside of the digipak is another still image from my music
video, which brings in the narrative of the song. This may
encourage those looking at the digipak to buy it in order to
find out more about the image.
5. • The digipak has a colour theme of white and blue for the artist
and album name, this should hopefully create a signature
colour scheme which will be recognised by fans. This is the
same for the font.
6. Magazine advert
• The magazine advert uses an image which I did not use in my
music video, but it does use the first location I used in it. I
integrated my album digipak cover in it so that the reader
would be able to recognise it and mentally link the two
products together.
7. Effects
• The digipak uses the black and white effect in all of the panels,
this is because all other Gaslight Anthem digipaks are quite
dark in colour. By using the black and white effect in
Photoshop, I feel that I have continued this theme without
compromising the images.
8. Effectiveness?
• I think that the main product and ancillary tasks are effective
because they have recurring themes which will be obvious to
a fan base, which can therefore be recognised on any product
produced by this band.
