1. I created a survey, in which I would have people various people take it to gain results that I could use
to create my music video. I gained knowledge of the demographics of my audience, and how they
would respond to a music video that I would create. This helped for me to plan out my music video
and understand what I would have to do.
2. 1. Did you enjoy watching the music video?
• "Yes, although there was no narrative which would have made the video more interesting to watch"
• "Yes, I liked it and thought it worked well"
• "I did like the style of the music video, but I do not like the song as it is not what I listen to"
• "No, it seemed a bit dull and wasn't any narrative to enjoy"
2. Did the black and white them work effectively?
• "I liked it as it created an effective atmosphere whilst watching it"
• "Yes and no, as it did make the video appear more dull but it was effective and suited the song“
• "Yes, it was good and worked well“
• "More colour would be nice but it was still good"
3. What improvements would you suggest for the video?
• "I would say, add a narrative as that it would make it more fun to watch“
• "Narrative would work well“
• "Maybe another song choice? Although the video was still good“
• "Create a narrative that fits in with the song"
4. Was the lip syncing successful?
• "Sometimes, at one point the person didn't get the words correct“
• "Yes, I really liked it and he did good“
• "He did make a mistake at one point, also it looked as if he was reading off of something at one point“
• "Some parts could be better but other than that it was really good"
I asked different people 4 questions, to get feedback on my music video. These were the responses and they taught me
what I need to do to improve my music video. Firstly, I learnt that my music video was enjoyable but the song choice
could be better, secondly, the black and white them was successful and was effective in the video especially in creating a
calm cold atmosphere. Next time, I would include a narrative to make my video more interesting to watch and also, to fit
the conventions of real media products as it is typically seen in music videos. Finally, the Lip syncing was good but still
required improvements and fixing. For instance, the performer got the words wrong at one point but managed to save it
and it looked as if he was reading off of something to know the lyrics.
