Design And Hermeneutic Phenomenology Research Paradigm Has...
10.4.5 Critique
The critique of this model derives principally from the criticisms that can be levelled at the research methodology, particularly its non positivist
approach, although a rationale for the single case study design and hermeneutic phenomenology research paradigm has been made above (Ch 5,6).
Within its own epistemological terms a legitimate criticism of such a model of management might derive more generally from its potential
irrefutability, following Popper's criticism of the "pseudosciences" , where a counter example is re–interpreted within the frame of the model so as not
to contradict it, for example a non charismatic leader's behaviour might be reinterpreted as having elements of the charismatic process, although they
not being obvious.
A second critique might be made building on the assumption that managerial effectiveness within an organisation in predicated on their ability to lead,
mobilise and direct subordinates. As a result, it might be argued that the model covers a very small element of the overallleadership and management
process, focussing exclusively on the manager's activity and leadership with their own subordinate team, and missing the larger organisational function
of the leader, their entrepreneurial activity, and engagement with supraordinate managers. This is an acknowledged failing, based upon Parson's
collectivist notion of power (@@@@ above), and there are some speculations and proposals for further research noted below.

Performance Based Design For An Integrated Solution
PERFORMANCE BASED DESIGN
The concept of achieving design with some focus on performance is not new, the tools and methods that changes. To discuss performance for design,
it is important to classify and separate its functions and features. If a building consists of a set of parameters, the design process can be associated to a
balance act, where parameters are weight and arranged to п¬Ѓt the context of a project.
In traditional architectural design, the use of measurable parameters often postponed or take place in a later phase of the design process. The concept
design is rather focused on aesthetics, plan functionality and experience of spaces, however, this approach limits the success of an integrated solution.
Today, there is an almost understood association with computational tools along with the measurable parameters and thresholds. The massive power of
computation makes it superlative for repeating calculations, it could be useful in optimization algorithms for instance, and the target parameters for the
optimization have to be simple enough to be expressed in a computer algorithm. In the application of structural engineering, these quantifiable and
measurable parameters could be mass, force, moment, deflection or even cost.

since jobs in bank is customers–based, the company will pay more attention to train and improve employees' behaviors, and that is to say, the company
will focus on the norms. At the same time, the company encourages employees to be innovative to present better wok so as to generate more values
for the shareholders of BMO. In this way, the two primary goals can be achieved by setting right norms.

How Might An Organization's Culture And Structure Impact...
How might an organization's culture and structure impact work–life balance? Work–life balance has become an increasingly important topic of interest.
Creating a healthy work–life balance has been shown to increase success in both personal and professional arenas (Karakose et al., 2014).
Organizations are now modifying their structure and culture to accommodate for the extra emphasis placed on this balance. An organization's structure
either allows for or hinders this balance. Structure consists of how the organization's policies, procedures, and processes and their effect on this
balance. This paper will examine the structure Netflix, the preeminent DVD rental and video streaming service provider, operates under to maximize its

If this balance is actively pursued by the organization, changes and implementations can be made to align it with its balance goals. Elissa Tucker
(2012) performed an analysis on companies considered benchmarks for work–life balance. Tucker found that best practices offer support for
dual–career families, work–at–home policies and practices, and flexible hours. These common proceedings among industry standards are aligned with
one common theme: flexibility. An organization with flexibility in regards to employees' personal lives has an advantage in retaining and satisfying top
talent. It is with flexibility that organizations are able to accommodate the requests and concerns generated by work–life balance conflicts.
Organizations that are able to serve effectively the requests of its employees do not always resort to protocols. Finding a solution to an employee's
needs may come from not having a policy as much as having one. Flexibility is, in essence, the ability to find solutions. Today's work environments
are becoming more varied by the task and setting than ever before. An organization structured in a way that provides alternative and flexible work
schedules can have an extreme impact on its employees' work–life balances. Life comes with many uncertainties. Employees have many
responsibilities and perform many roles. Flexible work

Organizational Design Perspectives Paper
Philosophers have identified three key perspectives to organization: rational, natural, and open systems. Each of these perspectives include key
development for organizational design. They each also exemplify developments of the science of organization. Modern organizational theory can be
described as a combination of these three main perspectives (Scott, 2003). This presentation will compare the rational and natural approach with
suggestions of restricting to the natural perspective for our current organization.
The rational approach provides a singularly focused, formulated method to organization. It systematically follows a strict order towards an end goal.
This approach was developed for managers to guide decision–making as past methods ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Organizations should continually ask themselves, "What is our business and what should it be?" (Swaim, 2017). It is imperative to remain cognizant of
how human–behavioral changes, technological advancements, task–job design all effect the overall structure of the organization.
Firstly, we can start be retooling our mission statement. Any prospering organizations must identify whom they are and what they want to accomplish.
We must establish what will distinguish us from competitors to ensure our targeted consumers will choose us over them. Our goals and
accomplishments make up the foundation of our business and need definite clarification. A narrowly defined set of well–constructed choices is the
foundation of a good organization design (Carucci, 2016).
The matter which employee performs their duties defines the task–job design. The work procedures (or delegations) intend to decrease or overcome
unhappiness in the workplace. These statutes also prohibit dissonance among employees that may arise. These procedures would definitely benefit
from a reevaluation as they provide information on job satisfaction and subsequent work performance. Any company that wants to thrive will continue
to determine the best follow through of these processes as job satisfaction reduces constant turnover and boosts workplace

Tender Napalm by Philip Ridley
Tender Napalm is a play by the celebrated, contemporary British playwright Philip Ridley.1 The play was published in 2011 and premiered in the
Southwark Playhouse in London. Ridley's oeuvre consists of work in eclectic styles and written for various different audiences (he is a prolific
creator of material for children, as well as plays for adults with difficult and often violent themes). Many attempts have been made to classify Ridley
within the so–called "in–yer–face" movement within British theatre, however most critics acknowledge that his plays are unique and often defy
classification.2 Tender Napalm features many of the hallmarks of Ridley's writing (violent imagery, obsession with the power of language, and
distorted memories), but the play is perhaps most interesting for its rather unique structure. This paper will give an overview of the plot of the play and
attempt to outline its main structural elements, before moving towards an analysis of how the structure operates. Comparisons will be drawn with
Aristotle's theories of theatrical structure, in order to examine how the play's structure sits within traditional models of Western playmaking, but also
pushes against them in innovative ways. Ultimately, this paper will argue that the structure of the play is, in and of itself, performative. The plot of the
play deals in fractured memories and an attempt to re–experience the past, that which is always–already absent. The structure of the play functions to

Institutions of higher education pride themselves in their ability to educate, serve, and meet the needs of the students in which it serves. This analysis
shows collaboration on college/university campuses to foster success among first year students. With higher education today being in a state of dynamic

Collaborations are present in learning communities and first year experience programs, but school leaders have to move beyond the norms and work
seemingly together to create an environment of success for the students. First year experience programs are prominent on many university campuses
but are optional on others. However, these departments utilize career placement counselors, academic advisors, testing coordinators, mentoring options,
and academic success centers to increase the likelihood of students progressing from freshman year through graduation.
Upon identifying programs available on various college campuses as they relate to first year students; it has become noticeable that university leaders
are concerned with the retention of students within their first and second year of college. Therefore many universities have developed programs that
are focused on the success of the freshman student and ensuring that group of students' matriculations throughout their degree programs. As quoted in
"The Dynamics of Organization in Higher Education (Kuh, 1996) "the frequent and increasingly predictable accusation that institutions of higher
education operate in "silos" is based on their various schools, colleges, and athletic programs operating in parallel with one another, more focused on

Reflection On Professional Development
In this short essay my own personal view on professional development will be made evident through reviewing past experiences, allowing
recommendations for better practice to occur. Other topics discussed and analysed will be; the structure of the organisation, the effectiveness on
leadership and management. My own role within the organisational structure will be reflected on, considering the impact of skills in practice, further,
justifying what I will need for future personal and professional development.
Reflective practice is an important tool, as people learn from their own professional experiences (Pascal and Brown, 2009). Reflection provides
opportunity for furthering personal and professional development (Nganga, 2011). As it helps to certify knowledge skills and experience that is used
within practice (Freire, 1972).
Boud, Keogh and Walker (1985) states that, looking through past and present experiences helps with progression in the future. The reflection on
practice is finding the weaknesses and overcoming them (Dyer and Taylor, 2012).
Johns (2000) situates that a number of models can help to structure a reflection. As they provide a framework that helps develop a deeper
understanding and analysis. One reflective model is SchГ¶n (2002) the model of reflection–in–action and reflection–on–action. This model is
beneficial to use as it involves working on getting to the bottom of what is happening in the experience process, such as; the decisions made and the
feelings felt at that time of the event. Reflection–on–action involves looking over the event and drawing on professional knowledge to understand
what happened and why it happened and to develop deeper knowledge (Thompson and Pascal, 2012). However, this is not the only model that could
be used. Other models such as Kolb (1984), Gibbs (1988) and Brookfield (1995) have different frameworks to help breakdown an issue.
I like to use Schön (2002) model in the workplace as I am thinking about what I am doing as I am doing it. This does not provide a lot of time to
think in depth and to break the event down, leading to not gaining a better understanding of what happened, without this I have no targets to better my
professional development.

What Is Organisational Behaviour
Organisational behaviour investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structures have on behaviour within organisations, as this knowledge can
optimise the effectiveness of these organisations. A way to understand organisational behaviour is to understand the organisational psychology behind
it (Murray, Poole, & Jones, 2006). Organisational psychology is the branch of psychology that is dedicated to the study of individual psychological
phenomena within organisations and ways in which organisational processes has an influence on people. The field of organisational behaviour was
developed primarily by the contributions of psychology, sociology and anthropology. Each of which has contributed significant ideas for organisational
developments (Stuit, Szirbik, & De Snoo, 2007). They pooled in a separate field known as organisational behavioural. Three other disciplines exerted
less influence in the development of organisational behaviour which is economy, science policies, and history. The relationship... Show more content on

Robbins, et.al, (2013) states "It is a field of study that investigates the impact of individuals, groups and structures on behaviour within organisations, in

behaviour is "the study and application of knowledge on how people act within organisations. It is therefore a human tool for the benefit of people and

improving the organisations adapted to people who are different, because the human side is the decisive influence in the possibility of achieving the

Structural Frame One of the main issues impeding the efficiency and preventing successful teamwork in this situation was uncertainty with the
structural design of this project team. I was more familiar (and comfortable) with a rigid chain of command structure. My belief that we should be
precisely executing the stated orders of our Navy leadership created obstacles for the other team members. Other more academically inclined team

Policies I was not prepared for the opposition that was exhibited toward my views and I felt threatened as a result. Because of this perceived threat, I
withdrew and dug in when confronted which led to the breakdown in communication and created further tension. When the argument escalated there
was no clear policy in place that would have helped to mend the issue.
Technology
Because the various members of the team were geographically separated throughout most of the project, the use of information technology (email and
file sharing) was crucial to success. When the conflict escalated this communication technology also broke down. Restricting the use of technology
affected the team's structure by not allowing for a more de–centralized approach.
Environment
The structural environment that existed within our project team was far from stable. In such a case, Bolman and Deal suggests that in order to prevent
structural tensions groups should use differentiation and integration. That is, they need to establish clear divisions of labor and assignment of
responsibilities (Bolman & Deal, 2013). Since this project's structural environment was not stable, I incorrectly assumed ownership of the entire project

An Analysis of Market Structures and Their Related Pricing Strategies
Christa Jones
American Public University Systems
Abstract
Market structures influence a firm's behavior and profit opportunity and are therefore critical to understanding how a market functions. The conditions
that distinguish each market structure define the level of competition observed within the market which in turn determines the profit level that can be
made. Because pricing strategies are intended to maximize a firm's profit, understanding market competition is necessary when deciding an appropriate
pricing strategy approach. The third section of this paper gives the pricing strategy for a real–world firm for each market structure.
An Analysis of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This section will provide a detailed analysis of the four market structures. Each analysis will describe the characteristics that are found within a market
structure and describe how these characteristics influence a firm's behavior and profit opportunity. Perfect Competition
A perfectly competitive market is one where competition between firms is intense; the market is considered concentrated. The characteristics of a
perfectly competitive market include having a large number of firms in the market, homogeneous products, no entry or exit barriers, no non–price
competition or external costs or benefits, perfect knowledge, and zero control over the market price or conditions. These characteristics create a
condition in which the firms in a market act as price takers; in other words, no single firm has any role in setting the market price and therefore must
take their prices from the industry.
Price taking is the primary condition of a perfectly competitive market. The two main characteristics necessary for price taking include: having a large
enough number of buyers and sellers in the market so that each is only able to contribute a negligible amount to the total market supply and, secondly,
that firms produce homogenous products that are perfect substitutes for each other. In order for a product to be considered a perfect substitute for
another, each product must be standardized and undifferentiated

Courtney, your discussion board post covered all of the questions thoroughly and accurately. The exchange of information among organizational
employees is vital for an organization to succeed (Cabrera & Cabrera, 2002). In reference to your analysis of shared information, you correctly pointed
out how the structure, tasks, strategy, and culture of performance and learning organizations are very different from one another. The performance
organization is designed with a chain of command or hierarchy (Daft, 2013). The vertical structure makes the organization more rigid or inflexible than
the loose or flexible culture found in a learning organization. According to Daft (2013), "vertical linkages are not sufficient for most organizations

However, it is interesting that you believe non–profit managers do not need to pay more attention to stakeholders than business managers do. It is true
that non–profit organizations are not organized for the sole purpose of making money, but non–profit organizations are still required to pay employee
salaries and other business expenses. In other words, non–profits are still accountable to their respective stakeholders. Marshall and Woodward (2004)
postulate that, "It would also be reasonable to speculate that the number of stakeholders that a non–profit organization must take into account is greater
than for–profit organizations" (p. 101). Your statement that non–profits should be managed in a way which places ethics or the needs of others ahead of
a profit is correct. However, non–profit managers must find a balance between the needs of others and the organization's need for positive cash flow.
Many non–profits would not exist without the support of their stakeholders. Non–profits need to pay as much attention to their stakeholders as

Starbucks Organizational Structure Analysis
Starbucks is an American coffee company founded in Seattle in 1971, which developed from a single store in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market to a

performance. Starbucks is more likely to be decentralization in terms of assigning decision rights. The organization structure of Starbucks is a matrix
structure with both functional subunits and product subunits. Functional subunits such as store development, product innovation and customer
relationship management (Leadership, 2017). Product/geographic subunits would be: 1) Americas, 2) China/Asia Pacific, 3) Europe, Middle East and

1 – Introduction In different working fields, companies face the pressure of globalization, and they must find new ways to overcome this challenge.
The following example, introduces the case of British Airways, which needs to deal with the globalization issue trying to reduce the operational costs,
increase profits and provide suitable services to customers. According to British Airways annual report from 2008/2009, theairline carried more than 33

The structural perspective aims to defeat lack of activity periods, doubts and dissatisfaction of employees about their role in works and companies in
order to make organizations achieve short and long–run goals and results, increases their efficiency and maximize performance through specialization
and division of labor and suitable forms of coordination, control and working best ways. Overall, the structure frame is the key element for profitable
and sustainable organizations. Organizations works best when rationality prevails and they are ready to anticipate and deal with environment issues
and other uncertainty problems. As mentioned, the main goal is create coordinate, balance and efficiency organizations which can thrive for many
profitable years. Therefore, structure will work as a "blueprint" (Bolman and Deal, 2008) inside organizations. First of all, it is not possible to take one
structure as ideal, whereas the structures are different from organization to organization, because each one has their own identity and strategy. Today,
all of them face pressures of globalization, competition and other environment pressures outside and inside the organizations, therefore, organizations
cross times where they have to "rethink" and reconsider new approach, perhaps through restructuring. These restructuring pressures, conducted by
elements of the company environment should be considered as a main source of reaction to fight the

Analysis of Different Market Structures
1.Introduction
The small number of market structure consultancies across the globe shows that the market structure concept is itself considerably new. Clearly,
various market structure components have been widely studied over the years: derivatives, exchange, trading, and clearing. Even then, there has been
no holistic examination of the whole market structure ecosystem over the same period (Gitman & McDaniel, 2009; Sexton, 2008). Even then, recent
market dynamics like the recent global fiscal downturn have demonstrated the need to engineer businesses to fit profitably into rapidly evolving market
structures. Every market has characteristic, interconnected features, including the number of sellers, level of the seller collusion, level of competition,
and production differentiation level.
2.Description of Diverse Market Structures
2.1.Perfect Competition
A market that has a perfect competition structure has many firms competing in it. In the market, prices are determined by many buyers as well as
sellers. Each of the successful firms in the market is well–established. A single firm in the market cannot independently influence the prices in it
persistently. Each of the firms is considered a price–taker. The quantity, as well as intensity, of the sellers, as well as buyers, who are ready to transact

Paul Farmer's Definition Of Structural Violence
Paul Farmer's definition of structural violence and the way it coincides with history, biology, and storytelling adds to my deeper understanding of how
violence is widespread and related to temporality. According to Farmer, structural violence is institutionalized aggression in a society or culture does
not allow certain individuals to meet their full potential. Structural violence also puts these individuals at a disadvantage.
The occurrence of erasing history is how temporality connects to structural violence. Structural violence draws on the dismissal of history, which
constitutes violence even more, "erasing history is perhaps the most common explanatory sleight–of–hand relied upon by the architects of structural
violence" (Farmer, p. 308).

Structure Analysis : Boeing Business Structure
According to company sources, Boeing business structure relies on a complex matrix system of management that operates through divisional
managerial cells, comprising a senior vice president and adjacent regional managers for each business division, where each cell functions individually
as a team to regulate and control each department of business operations under its division, and maintaining a constant flow of communication to
ensure the fruitful functionality of the overall business operation. The matrix structure prevents the overload of the highest management levels with the
most general operational decisions. The company has also implemented the principles of vertical and horizontal structure to help meet its organizational

In general, Boeing's global economic expansion has been driven by the far–reach of technological developments throughout the world and the steady
decline in fuel prices. In the past, emerging markets have driven economic growth, but the world economy is presently experiencing some regional
divergence from such a trend. According to Boeing' online publications, the company's outlook has incorporated the effects of those market forces in
the growth of the aviation industry. Company sources state that Boeing is currently targeting a market expansion through the production and delivery
of single–aisle airplanes, which have been becoming its largest share of new deliveries. Another market expansion taking place for Boeing is in the air
cargo markets as a result of the increase in international trade, and a multibillion–dollar sale contract with one of the top and largest Chinese airline
company has been another part of Boeing international expansion in Asia. After–sales market, which includes the sales of spare parts as well as
monitoring services, represents an equally important venue of market expansion for Boeing, and according some inside analysts, the company is
joining the programs of the Commercial Airplanes departments and the Defense segment to be able to attain the margins of growth of such service
programs. In addition, Boeing remains in close

Child oriented (Caners, 2000)
1.Children and adolescents are the core components in structural family theory. Since the beginning this model grew from working with children who
had psychosomatic and behavioral issues. For this reason, working with individuals and couples there is no model specifically for them, just that there
are the same basic concepts as with families just with special considerations. iv. Feminist analysis (Hadfield, 2000)
1.Power differences between sexes and the hierarchy from male to female are noticeable in structural family therapy model. The ideal power structure in
a family structure with two heterosexual parents has the male holding the uppermost power and position in the family. Furthermore, this model does
not take in to account stereotypes and norms within the society the family system is a part of.
2.It is said that women are seen as needing to take an expressive role where men are to take an executive role in order for the family system to remain
stable.
v.Cultural awareness (Hadfield, 2000)
1.When working with families from other cultures the therapist has to be careful when using concepts that are involved with structural family therapy.
For instance, when observing boundaries the therapist needs to remember that in some cultures these boundaries can be less distinct between family

Personal Statement In Structural Engineering
A simple bridge truss was the first structure I ever analyzed. The simple combination of beams that could hold cars, trains, and trucks over long spans
of water fascinated me. Having the tools to analyze the loads on the truss further increased my interest in structures. I encountered the bridge in a
textbook for my first engineering class.
Knowing that the professor, Mr. Paul Davids, was a tough teacher, I asked him for the textbook so I could study and get ready for the class over the
summer. Just arrived from Belize, I was determined to succeed. In class we learned about forces on simple members and then we put the members
together to form a simple truss. At this point I had almost decided that structural engineering was the career for ... Show more content on

Examining The University of Toledo's FYE Courses from a Structural Perspective
When one looks at the current state of the course from the structural perspective, one does not have look far as there was no system of governance,
leadership or structure in place in regard to The University's FYE course offerings due to the dismantling of the office by the previous administration,
recently however that has changed. I mentioned earlier in my analysis that a task force has been assembled which will take on the initiative of providing
structure and direction in regard to our FYE course offerings. The initiative for structure and robust FYE courses began with Provost Andrew Hsu, the
University of Toledo's current Executive Vice–President for Academic Affairs. The execution of this initiative has been left to Dr. Brian Ashburner
who is currently the Vice Provost for Student Affairs, who reports to Dr. Hsu. Dr. Ashburner will be given the authority over the group as well as

standard of its expectations, "Once a situation is defined as subject to a particular rule, the course of action is clear, straightforward and, in an ideal
world, almost automatic" (Bolman&Deal, p.52). From the information I gathered from Success Coach Shawna Babula the group will begin laying the

Hierarchical Issues From The Contextual Investigation Of...
Hierarchical issues are assorted and they can show themselves inside the association in a way that might be hard to identify. These issues if not
identified before, can keep the association from accomplishing its set objectives and goal. More or less authoritative issues are hierarchical issues that
can obstruct the smooth operation of the association. They go from worker business related issues to hierarchical auxiliary related issues (Lorenzi and
Riley, 2003). As a rule the hidden reason for these issues inside the association is absence of open stream of data or notwithstanding utilizing incorrectly
hierarchical structure. From the contextual investigation of Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant, there are a few authoritative issues that are clear and have
come about into hierarchical clash. These issues present themselves nearly in all associations. It is accordingly imperative for the administration of any
association to guarantee they have viable procedures to manage any issue that may emerge inside the association since inability to address such issues
may result to significantly more issues inside the association. The absolute most regular authoritative issues that present themselves practically in all
associations include:
Motivational issues
Leadership issues
Communication issues
Management issues
Misunderstood mission
Lack of authoritative agreement
Lack of group union
Lack of assets
Misunderstood procedure

The Structure Of An Organization
INTRODUCTION: The structure of an organisation is built in order to achieve the distinct tasks by the labour and coordination between teams to
provide goods and services. Organisational structure is selected in order to have a basic work and consistency according to the situation. The most
foremost factors in an organisation are skilled labours, mutual understanding among the fellows and direct control to frame a good result. A good
structured organisation results in quality production, which can be taken into peoples consider through marketing. When an organisation tracks in a solid
structure, management plans and tasks can be easily constructed and executed. In this essay, I have been explained about the concept of Mintzberg five

structure is to complete the activities in time, contacts and agreement deal with higher officials and passing information to employees which makes

THE MIDDLE LINE: As an organisation grows bigger it requires more than one manager to control the operators. Middle line managers add strategic
apex managers into the operating core with proper authority. In broad, one set of managers directs the operators for the basic unit and another set of
managers takes charge to convert it to the higher level unit. Hence, these units come under one manager to form an organisation. Middle line managers
observe the performance of the same unit and they produce the feedback to the managers above them.
THE TECHNOSTRUCTURE:
In technostructure, staff is analysing the operators who get affected by others works and serving those with planning and training with standardizations
in the organisation. The analyst can be divided into three main parts. Firstly, a work– study analyst who regulates the work process; secondly is
planning and control analyst who controls the accounts with production unit and finally, personnel analyst to standardize skills which occurs outside
the organisation.

3.3.Molecular structure analysis: Efficiency of coating could be monitored and confirmed by FTIR. Functional groups of each component give rise to
characteristic bands in the mid IR region. For liposomes, two characteristic bands corresponding to the symmetric and asymmetric stretching vibrations
of CH2 groups are located at 2850 and 2920 cm –1, respectively. These bands provide conformational information of the lipid acyl chains existed in all
liposome formulations (Figures 4 and 5). WPI is characterized by Amide I′ band (C=O stretching vibration) in the region 1600–1700 cmв€’1 and
Amide II band 1520–1580 cm –1 (Figure 4). Both amid I and amide II band were identified in different formulations of cationic and anionic liposomes

Microscopy: We have selected the anionic liposomes for TEM studies. TEM images of anionic liposomes were presented in Figure 6. Analyses by
transmission electron microscopy of anionic liposomes clarified the differences between the different formulations. Regarding the formulations of
anionic liposomes, an overall increase in size of the liposomes was observed after coating which confirms the results found with the analysis of the
particle size. In addition, the analysis in TEM allowed us to confirm the coating of anionic liposomes by pectin and / or WPI. TEM images showed that
non–coated liposome formulations were mainly unilamellar liposomes, however, a few multi–lamellar type liposomes were found with spherical shape.
Unilamellar liposomes are the consequence of the sonication step during the preparation of liposomes. In addition, the TEM analysis allowed us to
confirm the coating anionic liposomes by a pectin layer probably due to hydrogen bonds (Zhou et al., 2014). Pectin layer was shown in the
microscopy images as a very smooth black layer. Images showed that pectin helped to maintain the shape and integrity of the liposomes (Fig. 7, c).
Unlike pectin, WPI did not form an external layer on the liposomes. Alternately, TEM images showed that WPI gave diffused appearance without
maintaining the integrity of

Speech On Pitch Deck Structure
So, you've broken the ice and given the investor a killer elevator pitch on your business idea.
You've hooked them in with your idea and the possible gains the investor might enjoy by hopping on board.
So, what now?
Just hand over the checkbook?
Well, not quite.
You now have to delve deeper to drawing in the investor and impressing them with a pitch deck.
In the first part of this guide, I've introduced you to the concept of pitch deck and the best time to present it to investors.
Let's now turn attention to how you should build and structure your pitch deck.
To do this, I'm first going to introduce you to the most common pitch deck structures out there and with those in mind move on to exploring the
building blocks of a good ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead, different deck structures can create just as meaningful impact as others.
So, let's look at the four examples.
Guy Kawasaki – Simplicity at the core
Guy Kawasaki was evangelising Apple when other people weren't.
I'm throwing it out there, because it shows the guy is about innovation and he has an eye for knowing when a business works.
He's been involved in countless companies from Mercedes–Benz to Garage.com.
He knows about VCs because he founded a matchmaking service to connect investors with entrepreneurs.
It's no wonder then that his pitch deck is often the most cited template for pitching to VCs. Kawasaki's reputation in the business world oozes
knowledge.
So, what does a man behind so many successful ventures advocate in terms of pitch decks?
Simplicity.
He follows his 10/20/30 rule of PowerPoint. This means, you have a pitch deck with ten slides, your pitch lasts no longer than 20 minutes, and the font
can't be smaller than 30 points.
How does Kawasaki structure his files?

Michael Lambek's Toward An Ethics Of The Act
In Michael Lambek's Toward an Ethics of the Act, Lambek discusses the ethics of performance and practice rituals through perlocution and illocution.
Anthony Gidden's talks about the duality of agency (action) and structure and argues that that's two cannot exist without each other. These two
compare and contrast in analyzing social actions. In Toward an Ethics of the Act, Lambek uses the speeches that are also know as performatives that
"utter a performance is to do something" . Illocution and perlocution are two of the performatives of speech that Lambek discusses in his work that are
derived from J.L. Austin's philosophy. According to Lambek, Illocution is "doing something in saying something" . Perlocution on the other hand, is
"doing something by saying something" . Lambek uses the terms felicitous and infelicitous from Austin's philosophy to define the illocution and
perlocution of an act. In other words, felicitous is good or fortunate and infelicitous is bad or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gidden's argues that agency and structure cannot exist without each other. Agency is the individual's ability to make free choices in society. These
choices that they make are not guided by anything but their own desires, needs and wishes to fulfill. The concept of the agency is free will and the
ability of an individual to make decisions in their world that they want to make as an individual choice. Another way Giddens sees agency is that it is
"not a combination of separate acts, but a continuous flow of conduct" . Structure on the other hand, is social forces that exist outside of the individual
thoughts that influence the decisions that people make. The structure has a bigger influence on the individual than the individual can on the structure
of society. The structure has a big role in the choices individuals make in their

Many analysts would note that based on the consensus of the world population, the company's equity is of the highest value as they are currently
ranked as industry leader in market capitalization (source: YahooFinance) which conveniently brings me to my next evaluation.
1.1 Capital Structure
As much as market cap measures to what's related to the company's equity value, a firm's decision based on its capital structure estimates more
significantly to how the value of that company is allocated not only for the return on equity but accounting for debt as well. Most economists would
refer to capital structure as the mix of a company's long–term debt, the current portion of it, and of common and preferred stock. Furthermore, large
tech–companies today have been taking advantage of capital structure optimizations as it is placed shoulder to shoulder to increasing return on equity
thus lowering weighted average costs of capital for long–term investment. In other words, it is how a corporate manager should base his/her decisions
on financing the company's assets and operations through various growth prospects and forecast estimates. We will begin to further evaluate the
composition of Google's capital structure by focusing on the company's key statistics and research data from the selected top online providers of

Differences Between Private Sector And Voluntary Sector
1.Understand organisational structures
1.1Explain the differences between the private sector, public sector and voluntary sector
Private Sector
Businesses and industries that are not owned or controlled by the Government. Private Sector organisations operate privately to make a profit with
income generated from the sale of their products or services. Although many private sector firms are owned and controlled by individuals, many are
owned by groups of people; for example, companies may be owned by shareholders, who have invested in that company.
The Private Sector includes:–
Sole trader – an individual who owns and runs the business him or herself.

They are usually controlled by a directors or a management committee.
The Voluntary Sector is often referred to as the Third Sector or 'Not for Profit' Sector. Whist they do not exist to provide profit for shareholders, they
need to generate income.
The Voluntary Sector includes:–
Charities – Oxfam, Red Cross, YMCA, Women's Royal Voluntary Service
Trusts – Local Housing Associations
Local community organisations – Neighbourhood Watch Schemes
Societies/Clubs – Local sports clubs, Scouts, Guides
1.2Explain the functions of different organisational structures
Having the appropriate structure is vital for an organisation or business to meet its aims and objectives. A business may be structured by:
Functions – activities such as customer service, marketing, operations, finance or IT
Location – where regional divisions of the business take responsibility for a specific function or particular products, whether locally, nationally or
internationally
Product or services – where the business is divided into the particular products made or services provided
All organisations have employees working at different levels of responsibility. At the bottom, a business depends on its operatives to produce the
products or services. Team leaders often perform the day–to–day management role, with operational managers setting direction and strategy for the
business as a whole. The number of employees in each level will depend on the business'

  • 1. Design And Hermeneutic Phenomenology Research Paradigm Has... 10.4.5 Critique The critique of this model derives principally from the criticisms that can be levelled at the research methodology, particularly its non positivist approach, although a rationale for the single case study design and hermeneutic phenomenology research paradigm has been made above (Ch 5,6). Within its own epistemological terms a legitimate criticism of such a model of management might derive more generally from its potential irrefutability, following Popper's criticism of the "pseudosciences" , where a counter example is re–interpreted within the frame of the model so as not to contradict it, for example a non charismatic leader's behaviour might be reinterpreted as having elements of the charismatic process, although they not being obvious. A second critique might be made building on the assumption that managerial effectiveness within an organisation in predicated on their ability to lead, mobilise and direct subordinates. As a result, it might be argued that the model covers a very small element of the overallleadership and management process, focussing exclusively on the manager's activity and leadership with their own subordinate team, and missing the larger organisational function of the leader, their entrepreneurial activity, and engagement with supraordinate managers. This is an acknowledged failing, based upon Parson's collectivist notion of power (@@@@ above), and there are some speculations and proposals for further research noted below. ... • 2. Performance Based Design For An Integrated Solution PERFORMANCE BASED DESIGN The concept of achieving design with some focus on performance is not new, the tools and methods that changes. To discuss performance for design, it is important to classify and separate its functions and features. If a building consists of a set of parameters, the design process can be associated to a balance act, where parameters are weight and arranged to п¬Ѓt the context of a project. In traditional architectural design, the use of measurable parameters often postponed or take place in a later phase of the design process. The concept design is rather focused on aesthetics, plan functionality and experience of spaces, however, this approach limits the success of an integrated solution. Today, there is an almost understood association with computational tools along with the measurable parameters and thresholds. The massive power of computation makes it superlative for repeating calculations, it could be useful in optimization algorithms for instance, and the target parameters for the optimization have to be simple enough to be expressed in a computer algorithm. In the application of structural engineering, these quantiп¬Ѓable and measurable parameters could be mass, force, moment, deflection or even cost. • 4. An organization's structure either allows for or hinders this balance. Structure consists of how the organization's policies, procedures, and processes and their effect on this balance. This paper will examine the structure Netflix, the preeminent DVD rental and video streaming service provider, operates under to maximize its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If this balance is actively pursued by the organization, changes and implementations can be made to align it with its balance goals. Elissa Tucker (2012) performed an analysis on companies considered benchmarks for work–life balance. Tucker found that best practices offer support for dual–career families, work–at–home policies and practices, and flexible hours. These common proceedings among industry standards are aligned with one common theme: flexibility. An organization with flexibility in regards to employees' personal lives has an advantage in retaining and satisfying top talent. It is with flexibility that organizations are able to accommodate the requests and concerns generated by work–life balance conflicts. Organizations that are able to serve effectively the requests of its employees do not always resort to protocols. Finding a solution to an employee's needs may come from not having a policy as much as having one. Flexibility is, in essence, the ability to find solutions. Today's work environments are becoming more varied by the task and setting than ever before. An organization structured in a way that provides alternative and flexible work schedules can have an extreme impact on its employees' work–life balances. Life comes with many uncertainties. Employees have many responsibilities and perform many roles. Flexible work ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Organizational Design Perspectives Paper Philosophers have identified three key perspectives to organization: rational, natural, and open systems. Each of these perspectives include key development for organizational design. They each also exemplify developments of the science of organization. Modern organizational theory can be described as a combination of these three main perspectives (Scott, 2003). This presentation will compare the rational and natural approach with suggestions of restricting to the natural perspective for our current organization. It is imperative to remain cognizant of how human–behavioral changes, technological advancements, task–job design all effect the overall structure of the organization. Firstly, we can start be retooling our mission statement. Any prospering organizations must identify whom they are and what they want to accomplish. We must establish what will distinguish us from competitors to ensure our targeted consumers will choose us over them. Our goals and accomplishments make up the foundation of our business and need definite clarification. A narrowly defined set of well–constructed choices is the foundation of a good organization design (Carucci, 2016). The matter which employee performs their duties defines the task–job design. The work procedures (or delegations) intend to decrease or overcome unhappiness in the workplace. These statutes also prohibit dissonance among employees that may arise. These procedures would definitely benefit from a reevaluation as they provide information on job satisfaction and subsequent work performance. Any company that wants to thrive will continue to determine the best follow through of these processes as job satisfaction reduces constant turnover and boosts workplace ... • 7. Tender Napalm by Philip Ridley Tender Napalm is a play by the celebrated, contemporary British playwright Philip Ridley.1 The play was published in 2011 and premiered in the Southwark Playhouse in London. Ridley's oeuvre consists of work in eclectic styles and written for various different audiences (he is a prolific creator of material for children, as well as plays for adults with difficult and often violent themes). Many attempts have been made to classify Ridley within the so–called "in–yer–face" movement within British theatre, however most critics acknowledge that his plays are unique and often defy classification.2 Tender Napalm features many of the hallmarks of Ridley's writing (violent imagery, obsession with the power of language, and distorted memories), but the play is perhaps most interesting for its rather unique structure. This paper will give an overview of the plot of the play and attempt to outline its main structural elements, before moving towards an analysis of how the structure operates. Comparisons will be drawn with Aristotle's theories of theatrical structure, in order to examine how the play's structure sits within traditional models of Western playmaking, but also pushes against them in innovative ways. Ultimately, this paper will argue that the structure of the play is, in and of itself, performative. The plot of the play deals in fractured memories and an attempt to re–experience the past, that which is always–already absent. The structure of the play functions to disrupt the ... Collaborations are present in learning communities and first year experience programs, but school leaders have to move beyond the norms and work seemingly together to create an environment of success for the students. First year experience programs are prominent on many university campuses but are optional on others. However, these departments utilize career placement counselors, academic advisors, testing coordinators, mentoring options, and academic success centers to increase the likelihood of students progressing from freshman year through graduation. Upon identifying programs available on various college campuses as they relate to first year students; it has become noticeable that university leaders are concerned with the retention of students within their first and second year of college. Therefore many universities have developed programs that are focused on the success of the freshman student and ensuring that group of students' matriculations throughout their degree programs. As quoted in "The Dynamics of Organization in Higher Education (Kuh, 1996) "the frequent and increasingly predictable accusation that institutions of higher education operate in "silos" is based on their various schools, colleges, and athletic programs operating in parallel with one another, more focused on promoting than on adhering to or accomplishing broader institutional ... • 11. Reflection On Professional Development In this short essay my own personal view on professional development will be made evident through reviewing past experiences, allowing recommendations for better practice to occur. Other topics discussed and analysed will be; the structure of the organisation, the effectiveness on leadership and management. My own role within the organisational structure will be reflected on, considering the impact of skills in practice, further, justifying what I will need for future personal and professional development. Reflective practice is an important tool, as people learn from their own professional experiences (Pascal and Brown, 2009). Reflection provides opportunity for furthering personal and professional development (Nganga, 2011). As it helps to certify knowledge skills and experience that is used within practice (Freire, 1972). Boud, Keogh and Walker (1985) states that, looking through past and present experiences helps with progression in the future. The reflection on practice is finding the weaknesses and overcoming them (Dyer and Taylor, 2012). Johns (2000) situates that a number of models can help to structure a reflection. As they provide a framework that helps develop a deeper understanding and analysis. One reflective model is SchГ¶n (2002) the model of reflection–in–action and reflection–on–action. This model is beneficial to use as it involves working on getting to the bottom of what is happening in the experience process, such as; the decisions made and the feelings felt at that time of the event. Reflection–on–action involves looking over the event and drawing on professional knowledge to understand what happened and why it happened and to develop deeper knowledge (Thompson and Pascal, 2012). However, this is not the only model that could be used. Other models such as Kolb (1984), Gibbs (1988) and Brookfield (1995) have different frameworks to help breakdown an issue. I like to use SchГ¶n (2002) model in the workplace as I am thinking about what I am doing as I am doing it. This does not provide a lot of time to think in depth and to break the event down, leading to not gaining a better understanding of what happened, without this I have no targets to better my professional development. ... What Is Organisational Behaviour Organisational behaviour investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structures have on behaviour within organisations, as this knowledge can optimise the effectiveness of these organisations. A way to understand organisational behaviour is to understand the organisational psychology behind it (Murray, Poole, & Jones, 2006). Organisational psychology is the branch of psychology that is dedicated to the study of individual psychological phenomena within organisations and ways in which organisational processes has an influence on people. The field of organisational behaviour was developed primarily by the contributions of psychology, sociology and anthropology. Each of which has contributed significant ideas for organisational developments (Stuit, Szirbik, & De Snoo, 2007). They pooled in a separate field known as organisational behavioural. Technology Because the various members of the team were geographically separated throughout most of the project, the use of information technology (email and file sharing) was crucial to success. Analysis of Market Structures An Analysis of Market Structures and Their Related Pricing Strategies Christa Jones American Public University Systems Abstract Market structures influence a firm's behavior and profit opportunity and are therefore critical to understanding how a market functions. The conditions that distinguish each market structure define the level of competition observed within the market which in turn determines the profit level that can be made. Each analysis will describe the characteristics that are found within a market structure and describe how these characteristics influence a firm's behavior and profit opportunity. Perfect Competition A perfectly competitive market is one where competition between firms is intense; the market is considered concentrated. The characteristics of a perfectly competitive market include having a large number of firms in the market, homogeneous products, no entry or exit barriers, no non–price competition or external costs or benefits, perfect knowledge, and zero control over the market price or conditions. These characteristics create a condition in which the firms in a market act as price takers; in other words, no single firm has any role in setting the market price and therefore must take their prices from the industry. Price taking is the primary condition of a perfectly competitive market. The two main characteristics necessary for price taking include: having a large enough number of buyers and sellers in the market so that each is only able to contribute a negligible amount to the total market supply and, secondly, that firms produce homogenous products that are perfect substitutes for each other. THE MIDDLE LINE: As an organisation grows bigger it requires more than one manager to control the operators. Middle line managers add strategic apex managers into the operating core with proper authority. In broad, one set of managers directs the operators for the basic unit and another set of managers takes charge to convert it to the higher level unit. Hence, these units come under one manager to form an organisation. Middle line managers observe the performance of the same unit and they produce the feedback to the managers above them. THE TECHNOSTRUCTURE: In technostructure, staff is analysing the operators who get affected by others works and serving those with planning and training with standardizations in the organisation. The analyst can be divided into three main parts. Firstly, a work– study analyst who regulates the work process; secondly is planning and control analyst who controls the accounts with production unit and finally, personnel analyst to standardize skills which occurs outside the organisation. • 36. Molecular Structure Analysis 3.3.Molecular structure analysis: Efficiency of coating could be monitored and confirmed by FTIR. Functional groups of each component give rise to characteristic bands in the mid IR region. For liposomes, two characteristic bands corresponding to the symmetric and asymmetric stretching vibrations of CH2 groups are located at 2850 and 2920 cm –1, respectively. These bands provide conformational information of the lipid acyl chains existed in all liposome formulations (Figures 4 and 5). WPI is characterized by Amide I′ band (C=O stretching vibration) in the region 1600–1700 cmв€’1 and Amide II band 1520–1580 cm –1 (Figure 4). Both amid I and amide II band were identified in different formulations of cationic and anionic liposomes confirming... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These results confirms the results found with the zeta potential and the size analysis. 3.4.Morphological analysis by Transmission Electron Microscopy: We have selected the anionic liposomes for TEM studies. TEM images of anionic liposomes were presented in Figure 6. Analyses by transmission electron microscopy of anionic liposomes clarified the differences between the different formulations. Regarding the formulations of anionic liposomes, an overall increase in size of the liposomes was observed after coating which confirms the results found with the analysis of the particle size. In addition, the analysis in TEM allowed us to confirm the coating of anionic liposomes by pectin and / or WPI. TEM images showed that non–coated liposome formulations were mainly unilamellar liposomes, however, a few multi–lamellar type liposomes were found with spherical shape. Unilamellar liposomes are the consequence of the sonication step during the preparation of liposomes. In addition, the TEM analysis allowed us to confirm the coating anionic liposomes by a pectin layer probably due to hydrogen bonds (Zhou et al., 2014). Pectin layer was shown in the microscopy images as a very smooth black layer. Images showed that pectin helped to maintain the shape and integrity of the liposomes (Fig. 7, c). Unlike pectin, WPI did not form an external layer on the liposomes. Alternately, TEM images showed that WPI gave diffused appearance without maintaining the integrity of ... Michael Lambek's Toward An Ethics Of The Act In Michael Lambek's Toward an Ethics of the Act, Lambek discusses the ethics of performance and practice rituals through perlocution and illocution. Anthony Gidden's talks about the duality of agency (action) and structure and argues that that's two cannot exist without each other. These two compare and contrast in analyzing social actions. In Toward an Ethics of the Act, Lambek uses the speeches that are also know as performatives that "utter a performance is to do something" . Illocution and perlocution are two of the performatives of speech that Lambek discusses in his work that are derived from J.L. Austin's philosophy. According to Lambek, Illocution is "doing something in saying something" . Perlocution on the other hand, is "doing something by saying something" . Another way Giddens sees agency is that it is "not a combination of separate acts, but a continuous flow of conduct" . Structure on the other hand, is social forces that exist outside of the individual thoughts that influence the decisions that people make. Most economists would refer to capital structure as the mix of a company's long–term debt, the current portion of it, and of common and preferred stock. Furthermore, large tech–companies today have been taking advantage of capital structure optimizations as it is placed shoulder to shoulder to increasing return on equity thus lowering weighted average costs of capital for long–term investment.
