Triggers
Triggers are something that people deal with on a daily basis. Utilizing negative verbiage about
someone's ethnicity or ability due to disability induces many triggers. Having a daughter of a mixed
descent creates a heighten sense of protection. This is due to ignorance of individuals that speak
without thinking of the effects of their speech. While some people do not care, children and the
disabled have diminished ability to protect themselves and will internalize what has been said to
them as facts. Personally, I take most hatred spoken in general with a grain of salt and disregard it
because I believe that it is spoken by someone that probably angry with themselves. However, when
it comes to my child, I have mixed feelings. This is due to the fact I try to respond without emotion,
because the ignorance of the minority do not necessarily represent the feelings of the majority.
Nonetheless, one cannot stand up for one group but ignore others for there to be harmony. People
need to realize that our population will always be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

particular ones have been least utilized over the last couple of years. Name, is a trigger that could
cause great controversy once stated, and believe that many individuals have difficulty utilizing in a
positive manner. Typically, utilization of such trigger could evoke confrontations that most people
would want to avoid this is why the "silence" trigger is enacted. Nevertheless, utilizing the trigger
"name" in the future that could foster positive outcomes where individuals could congregate
together and peacefully discuss issues would be something to look forward too. Additionally, this
falls right in line with the "strategize" trigger. By groups with different point of views gathering

Trigger Warning
Trigger warnings and the underlying issue In the essay 'The Coddling of the American Mind', Greg
Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt argue trigger warnings are hindering the learning experience in
college. While this is true it goes farther than just that, there is an epidemic of a certain mentality
spreading across the United States. This mentality is that everyone is deserving of content warnings,
whether it be graphic, on paper, or ideas in a discussion everywhere they go. This is a terrible
mentality to have, because it breeds an underlying issue. The issue at hand is a psychological issue
that can be treated over time. The issue's severity depends on what the person wants a trigger
warning for. In the extreme cases, there are completely unreasonable demands for warnings because
it could be too common, there would be too many warnings, while in other cases it is more
reasonable but still should not become the norm of society. If trigger warnings become the norm for
the world it would cause harm to individuals' minds and society. To begin with, what is a trigger
warning or content warning? Both trigger warnings and content warnings can be used in place of
one another because they stand for the same thing. A trigger warning is a warning that means there
is a topic or idea that will be discussed or shown visually that could cause stress to some people.
These can range from reasonable topics such as rape, abuse, or death. Those topics rarely come up
in day to day conversations and contain some of the worst acts a human can do, and it is reasonable
to offer trigger warnings for these topics. It is not acceptable, however, to require these warnings on
everyone that talks about these topics. On the other extreme some people could claim to have been
offended at ordinary topics that show up in daily conversation. A short story in Greg Lukianoff and
Jonathan Haidt's paper was about a professor, Francis Schmidt, that had received a suspension from
a harmless action. This action was that he posted a picture of his daughter on Facebook, who
happened to be wearing a shirt with a Game of Thrones quote. A student took this as a threat and
complained to the school, how is a trigger warning supposed to be put on that? This is

Creative Writing: Amnesia Of A Dreamer
"Gavin, do not pull the trigger!" I shouted across the alleyway.
Before I could finish my sentence, the bullet had left the muzzle of the slick hand gun and straight
into the once blood bumping heart of the victim. The power of one small, metal bullet was
unthinkable, taking away another one's unconditional love, a lifetime of memories. The gunshot
cracked into the air as loud as the thunder. I examined Gavin's face. Fear, guilt and regret was
written all over it. He ran over to the lifeless body and attempted to bring it back to life. No luck.
We fled to the vacant block, our only escape from the bittersweet reality we live in. From the day we

Narrative Essay: The Death Of Adelburger
The punch, combined with the added force that came from the spiked knuckles attached to his
dagger, was enough to bring Zee down on the ground, resulting in her to drop her weapon as it fell
down the stairs toward where Harold and Margaret helplessly stood. Once she was on the ground,
his dagger pointing downwards, the Adelburger swiftly proceeded to stab directly into Zee's heart,
before pulling out a pistol, a custom made Sig Sauer P220 chambered for .38 Super, to finish her off.
Thankfully, he was shot by Harold, killing him in the process. Knowing that they had to kill off the
other Adelburger before his fellow Kameraden continued slaughtering the Coven conscripts,
Margaret led the way and ran up the stairs with Harold following her from behind. As she entered
the room, she fired from the hip and shot two Adelburgers who were waiting for her and Harold.

deaths. In due time, probably when they become part of the Church Penitent or else the Church

that they say I am. I grasped the man in between my arms and brought him closer to my body, I
whispered a prayer that my mother taught me when i was a child,"Father..forgive those who have
forsaken me and forgive those who have forsaken you." The soldier's tears of blood ran down my

Trigger Warnings
In recent years, the world has seen a huge jump in the fight to be politically correct. Sensitivity to
discrimination or topics that are found offensive/traumatizing, has heightened causing a major shift
in how people interact on a day to day basis. The effects of this revolution of sorts can be seen
especially on the internet and in spaces of academia. Buzzwords like microaggression and trigger
warnings are now frequently heard in college classrooms and have raised questions about the ability
of professors to effectively teach and prepare their students for the real world. The terrain of this
subject is still fairly new and uncharted so I have created a set of win–win guidelines that I believe
will help students and faculty navigate this subject ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Discrimination has long and deep rooted past in this country and the effects of that past are still
quite prevalent today. Claims by students of harmful activity should always be taken seriously, but
there has to be fair (to both students and staff) methods in place to investigate these incidents. The
well–being of students should always be taken into account in these institutions, but this must be
done in a way that fosters better critical thinking and prepares them to deal with life outside of the
classroom. I firmly believe that the steps discussed above could lay the groundwork for better
communication in college

Trigger Warning Definition
A trigger warning is a statement at the start of a piece of writing, video, etc., alerting the reader or
viewer to the fact that it contains potentially distressing material. When somebody is triggered, they
could have painful memories, flashbacks, and panic attacks. Trigger warnings were originally used
on websites for a while, initially on feminist websites and now trigger warnings are coming to
college classrooms. If a student was to become triggered while in the classroom, they would be
excused from class, no points would be taken away from the student's grade, and they could ask for
an alternative assignment. Some college students want this so that they will know ahead of time
when a lecture, reading, or a film on a certain day that may

The Coddling Of The American Mind
In Lukianoff and Haidt's essay, "The Coddling of the American Mind," the authors contend today's
college students want to be protected from any words that might harm them. The authors argue
doing so harms them in other ways.
After reading the article I concur with the author's views on colleges coddling students who are
offended by words or small actions is doing more harm than good. The article covered the issues in
detail and gave many examples of the conception before the 1980's when children could roam free
in the world with less worry for parents to where next generation who had more protective parents
because of the increase of kidnappings, removal of physical activities in school, school shootings,
and bullying after the 1980's.The authors discuss how coddling is not good for students, society, the
workplace, government or the future. Coddling removes cognitive thinking and the use of good
critical thinking skills. Coddling will force students to think with emotion instead of logic. Society
will not always bend over backwards to appease ones feelings or change to make someone feel
comfortable. Thinking with emotions can create a fog that can hinder ones view of reality.
The coddling issue is leading the current generation who protest books or specific words that may be
offensive to them and others. Some claim that the offensive words can cause emotional triggers to a
bad experience that can lead to a dangerous outcome. I see this as whining to a degree and should

Bad Habits Developed Over Time
A habit, by definition, is an act which is repeated by a person without the individual being aware
that they are continuously displaying or committing that certain behavior. There are many bad habits
a person can develop over time. Some of these could include having a drug habit, an eating disorder,
or many other undesirable behaviors. These negative habits can all be broken and could lead to
positive outcomes if they were to be broken successfully. Many of the habits considered to be bad
require a person to make specific changes in their life in order to conquer said habit. There are a
plethora of different steps and/or tasks that can be used to assist a person with the daunting task of
breaking an unwanted habit.
One of the first steps that must be completed by a person wanting to end a habit they believe to be
detrimental is to acknowledge the action and to be aware of their situation. In some instances, this
requires the person in question to admit that they exhibit problematic behavior because of the habit
they have. The act of admitting that their actions lead them to repeat negative acts or thoughts
because of their habit is essential to eliminating it. With this in mind, an individual must be aware of
an issue before it can be resolved. Knowing the habit is present and affecting your life in a negative
fashion is a very important step within this process.
Many people have different things in their lives that they would like to change. A step that could be

When I enter the home the first thing I noticed was that only Emily, Cody and Lucas were the ones
at home. Benjamin, Logan and Drew were out with their therapist for the afternoon. Emily and

made Emily very upset. Ms. Orbach told them to come downstairs and play and they are not allowed
to play upstairs by themselves.
Once they were downstairs in the living room Cody went to the dining table to color and Emily was

then began our conversation about the second parent mentor. I explained to her the reason for the

done throughout the day. It would also be someone there to help supervise the six children. Since
they break off into different sections of the house. I explained it to her in a way that it is about

She told to me, she is not the one, who said no to the second Parent Mentor, It was the Judge during

A trigger point found in Gluteus Maximus and Gluteus Medius is step one in treating low back pain

Some people may find this location in their butt to be the one that relieves most if not all their pain.

A Brief Note On Pain And Lie Within Connective Tissues Or...
Hyperalgesic spots that refer to pain and lie within connective tissues or muscles are known as
trigger points (Wittink & Michel, 2002). Trigger points are typically found at the bony attachments
and are more common within the muscles of the neck, shoulder and the pelvic girdle. Myofascial
trigger points are commonly found in patients with musculoskeletal pain (Kalichman & Vulfsons,
2010). They signify the distribution of sarcoplasmic reticulum of the muscle fibres (Bron &
Domerholt, 2012). Cummings & White (2001) have defined Myofascial trigger points as "pain
arising from one or more myofascial trigger points (MTrPs), which are hyperirritable spots in
skeletal muscle that are associated with hypersensitive palpable nodules in taut ... Show more

The motor endplate noise is a distinctive characteristic of trigger points and indicates how irregular
motor end plates achieve. Motor end plate noise is from low–amplitude discharges (10–50 UV)
within the taut band, whether or not the trigger points square measure is painful or not. Intermittent
high–amplitude discharges (up to five hundred UV) square measure are seen in painful trigger
points (Simons et al., 2002).
Manual techniques such as active and passive are two treatments that aid the process in releasing a
trigger point (Wai–Leung, 2010). The simplest variability of active release is stretching. Slow
sustained stretches are more effective at releasing trigger–point tightness than fast transient
stretches, this is often a result of the sarcomeres as it takes time to be released, as a result of the
"stickiness" of its molecules. However, as soon as the muscle relaxes, the sarcomere incorporates a
tendency to return to its previous state (Chesterton, 2007). A series of contract–relax is more
practical in re–setting the length. The patient stretches the muscles to increase and extend the
sarcomeres, then actively contracts the antagonist muscles to take up the slack. This additionally
brings about reciprocal–inhibition therapy, that facilitates the release of the muscle being elongated
(Wai–Leung, 2010).

in Minneapolis and Minnesota. Twenty pediatric nurses agreed to participate. Their nursing
experience extended from four to thirty six years. An interview guide containing eleven essential
open–ended questions and probe questions about compassion fatigue and burnout was assembled by
the researchers. The interview guide included questions about the nurse's educational and work
experiences, their experiences with compassion fatigue and burnout, triggers that lead to compassion
fatigue and burnout, and strategies for coping with fatigue and burnout. Each interview lasted about

Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy
What are Trigger Points?
Commonly referred to as myofascial trigger points in the medical profession, these locations on
your body are a common cause of discomfort and pain. These areas commonly produce referred
pain, meaning that pain from this area can be found in other muscle groups and joints away from the
source of the pain itself. This is why myofascial discomfort in one's spine or shoulder often causes
headaches and neck pain.
What Causes This Pain?
This intense pain can come from a variety of sources, including bad posture, excess weight, physical
injury or stress, joint problems, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and even poor sleep. If you are
suffering from joint pain or spinal pain, you may have visited a medical professional and been told
that it was a result of a weak or injured joint, or even a bulging or misaligned disc. However, the
pain quite possibly could have resulted from a trigger point issue. ... Show more content on

Office professionals often develop severe pain from sitting in the same position all day long and by

similar pain as a result of repetitive motion. This sort of pain is also found fairly regularly in new
mothers, who suffer hip pain as a result of carrying their newborn around with them.
Another common culprit of this type of pain is poor posture due to infrequent exercise and strength
training. Additionally, those that suffer from consistent stress often face pain as well. Constant
muscle clenching and physical tension can take a toll on the body, leading to muscle imbalances and
chronic pain.

Descriptive Essay On Hunting
INTRO: I never thought I would feel so awful after pulling that trigger and watching that innocent
animal give it's life to me. I was only ten years old and my life was certainly impacted forever.
Nowadays, many people think that pulling the trigger of a gun is not hard at all. In reality, it might
be pretty easy. It is the aftermath on the other hand that will leave an internal scar, changing a person
forever. On my first deer hunt, a young buck stepped out of the dense willow clusters with it's head
down, giving me a shot. Soon I would be faced with the tough decision of taking the life of an
innocent animal. Meanwhile, on my first turkey hunt, there too I would soon be changed forever.
BODY PARAGRAPH #1: It was a cool and crisp evening that nipped at the tips of my toes and
fingers. I could smell the fresh snow from the previous night's dusting that blanketed the landscape
like a pearly white canvas. The sun was about to set and soon I would be out of daylight. That
means no deer this year. Shortly, a buck would come in and I would pull the trigger.
I perched myself up in a tree stand overlooking a massive river valley. This is the place where deer
come down and across in order to get to the fields for feeding. The towering tree stand soared over
many small trees. I glanced over the railing, looking down at the snowy forest floor many feet
below. It was a frightening height. "Pull your gun up. I'll work my way back around to try and push

The Issue Of Trigger Warnings
The topic of trigger warnings have been a hot topic amongst people. Trigger warnings are a warning
or a statement that the following material or phrases could be harmful to the psyche of certain
individuals about to experience the material. This spans across the average worker to professors at
universities. This topic rose from about 2011 on the internet and has reached a high to where people
are discussing their thoughts on the matter. Everyone has a stance on whether trigger warnings
should be issued when discussing a potential topic that could cause distress for a student or anyone
in a class. With the rise of mental health disorders being diagnosed in students, some seek
professional help or a better diagnosis because of there helpfulness. Students have been at odds
sometimes because of trigger warnings. The debate on whether or not to implicate them in a
classroom setting is the main topic of the argument. I side with the argument that people should use
trigger warning for an upcoming topic. Students do go to college to learn and given that there
stressors that go along with college, giving a trigger warning is not bad at all. This serves as a
reminder that people do care about whatever situation that the student that is affected is going
through. This gives the student anonymity and a environment that does not have to keep the student
in isolation because of the traumatic event. While both sides make a good case for their argument, it
does not hurt to show respect for

Creative Story : A Short Story
Stepping out onto her small porch Laurel placed her hands her hands at her hips, head turning from
side to side, to gaze at the city. Everything looked so peaceful, it was hard to believe that sooner or
later everything would change, war was on the horizon whether they like it or not. She muttered out
a sigh as she reached her hand up to rub at her forehead. She blinked a few times when she caught
sight of Cain. "Here goes nothing." She mumbled to herself as she walked down the small steps. She
met Cain at the gates, a slight smile played at her lips. "Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep
everything in check. I won't allow anyone to blow anything up." She stated with a slight nod of her
head. Her right hand fell to rest atop her gun, "Make sure you don't kill anyone else Cain. If we want
to win this war we are going to need the numbers." She muttered out in a soft voice, a hint of
announce could be heard.
Turning she walked over to her group she was in charge of yesterday. "Alright, I have some for you
guys today." She paused for a moment, the smile on her face grew. "Today we are going to learn to
make bombs. Not everyone is going to be good at it, that's fine. Those who can't seem to understand
what the hell is going on will have a chance to learn out to use a knife. " She spoke loud enough for
everyone in the group to hear her. "We'll meet in the training grounds in 5, I'm going to head over to
Patty's to get knifes. Seeing as some of you don't have any on you." She mused, counting 4 people
who didn't have a knife on them. She still couldn't believe that anyone would walk around without a
weapon strapped to their side. "I'll be back shortly." She stated, turning to walk off down the street.
Within a matter of seconds she was at Patty's place. Gathering the knives as well as the other things
she would need, she only found a few of the items she need to teach the group how to make bombs.
The rest she would find at her place. "Have someone take these items down to the training field and
have someone meet me at my place. I'm going to need help carrying some stuff to the field." She
stated. Turning she head back to her place. Walking up the three small steps that lead to the front

Observing the Assassination
As the hit–man was given his latest assignment, he couldn't help but feel sorry for the company he
was about to shake. His target was the founder/CEO of Omnitech Inc. The company would probably
start to crumble if his mission were to succeed.
"Why do you want him dead?" the hit–man asked his employer.
"Well, he has some info that we can't let the public find out about us. If they do, this whole company
is done for." The employer explained.
"Understood."
After a while, the hit–man was ready to eliminate his target. He figured that the best way to keep
him still would be to call him in his office and kill them there. So he bought a cheap track phone and
called the target.
"Hello? is someone there?" the CEO asked. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"How could this happen?" He wondered. He tried to think of why someone wanted the CEO dead,

I was wrong." he pointed out in his mind. "Well, it doesn't matter, time to get him back to the
hospital."
When they were at the hospital, the doctor requested help from multiple surgeons to remove the
bullet. "Well, at least the bullet missed the brain stem, but back of his head is in shambles." the
doctor noted, taking care to not move the patient too much. One of the surgeons started to take an x–
ray, while the others tried to remove the bullet.
During his break, he couldn't help but think about what happened. He was trying to think of why the
CEO was targeted. The first thing that came to mind was sabotage. It did make the most sense, after
all. Well, maybe the CEO knew something that dangered the shooter or who hired the shooter. He

Asthma Triggers
When asthma strikes, it can be very scary especially when it gets harder and harder to breath every
second. Your lung airways may swell because of some inhaled allergens causing you to feel like
catching your breath every time.
People with asthma knows what can trigger their asthma attack but a big percentage of these people
don't really know their own asthma triggers. According to Asthma UK, people who have asthma
have their own different triggers. Some people gets asthma attacks because of common known
triggers like dust, cat, or smoke and some are getting attacks with uncommon triggers like windy
cold weather.
It would be hard to manage your asthma condition if you don't know what causes your asthma

Why Leaders Must Excel at Giving and Receiving Feedback
MBA 510–Managament Skills Portfolio

Whether a leader defines success as career progression, sphere of influence, or the continual
improvement of their management skills, there is one singular fact that all leaders must grasp in
order to be effective and impactful: they have to become great providers and receivers of feedback.
To grow in one?s ability to give and receive feedback, one ought to begin with learning to receive
feedback well by recognizing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 109) of the feedback they have received. Becoming an effective leader
requires hard work, passion, and the mastery of human relation skills that make the providing and
receiving of feedback easier and more meaningful. The road to receiving feedback well is a
continuous highway whose only mile–markers are the progress beyond being beholden to the three
triggers identified in Stone?s and Heen?s article, Difficult Conversations 2.0. Truth triggers are an
emotional response where the recipient chooses to ?focus on what 's wrong with the feedback?
(Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 72). This decision to reject feedback simply because part of it is
incorrect?or perceived to be incorrect?prohibits a person from evaluating the fit of the feedback and
acting on the applicable, useful parts. Overcoming an evocation of a truth trigger requires the
receiver to ?dig under the label? (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 72) and seek more concrete and
definitive examples to better understand the feedback. Per Stone and Heen (2014), a relationship
trigger comes about when the recipient focuses on who is delivering the feedback rather than what is
being said. The relationship trigger tends to arise when the receiver believes the giver either does not
have the proper level of insight to give the feedback or they distrust the motives and authority of the
deliverer (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 73).

Use Of Trigger Point Dry Needling
Introduction Trigger point dry needling (TDN) is a treatment in which practitioners insert thin,
sterile filiform needles into patients for the purpose of pain relief by stimulating underlying
myofascial trigger points, muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. This technique is not only used
for the management of neuromuscular pain relief, but it is also used to treat movement impairments
and dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue. Dry needling is also implemented
in clinical practice for the purpose of reducing and eventually restoring impairments of body
structure and function (American Physical Therapy Association [APTA], 2013). These purposes for
dry needling eventually lead to improved activity and function ... Show more content on

Janet Travell, M.D. and Dr. David Simons, M.D., called the Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction:
Trigger Point Manual. The studies of dry needling as a pain relief modality by Travell and Simons
began in the 1940s, but were published in this manual much later in1992 and edited in 1999 for the
manual's second edition. In this book, Dr. Travell and Simons introduce this new term of dry
needling in order to differentiate between two techniques of trigger point therapy. They used wet
needling, which referred to the injection of a local anesthetic using a hypodermic needle, and they
also used this new technique of dry needling, which referred to the insertion of the hypodermic
needle into the myofascial trigger point without the injection of any medication or anesthetic
(Travell, Simons & Simons, 1999). Myofascial trigger points, colloquially referred to as "knots", are
classified as hyperirritable spots within a taut band of contracted skeletal muscle fibers that produce
local and/or referred pain when stimulated (APTA, 2013). In the infancy of their studies, Travell and
Simons preferred the use of the hypodermic needle and never used filiform needles. They believed
that the filiform needle was too thin and not strong enough for dry needling; preference was given to
the hypodermic needle because of its superior strength and the tactile feedback that it provided at the
time. In the beginning of

Are We The Most Sensitive Generation Of All Time?
Are we the most sensitive generation of all time? Many people in our society think that our
generation is so hypersensitive about everything. We are not hypersensitive to everything instead it
is because we can obtain information so easily today that we as students fear that power. We learn
about all these different things that can potentially hurt or offend some people on the internet so we
try to not use this power. Thus, this forms a group of words that are regarded as taboo in society
because they can trigger the emotions of others Thus, trigger warnings were created to help provide
students on campus a safe space to not be affected by society, but is that good for the students?
Recently, an article called "The Coddling of the American Mind" by Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan
Haidt states, "Trigger warnings are alerts that professors are expected to issue if something in a
course might cause a strong emotional response" (Lukianoff 1). In their article, they counter the idea
of trigger warning stating that avoiding or using trigger warnings would not help students instead we
should help them slowly adapt to these extreme situations and word choice because they will not
move on from that issue unless addressed. While another article, "The Trigger Warning Myth" by
Aaron R. Hanlon redefines trigger warnings as something that should be use in a college setting
because professors uses trigger warnings to remind the students the graphic content of the course.

We would use a interrrelation constraint to enforce the data constraint. An interrrelation constraint

Johnnie Guilbert Research Paper
What is your coping method for when you're feeling upset or sad? What do you do to make yourself

Johnnie got depressed and he started dressing differently that the other kids. He dyed his hair black,

Cold Shot Monologue
Should I do it? My heart sits in my throat as a man and boy come into view. Distant enough that I

Trigger Finger Case Study
Overview
Trigger finger, sometimes called trigger thumb, is a condition that locks a person's finger into a bent
position. Sometimes the finger will then snap straight out, similar to the way a trigger is pulled and
released. It happens when inflammation causes the space around the sheath that protects the tendon
to narrow. In severe cases, the finger cannot be straightened out.
The irritation and inflammation associated with trigger finger disrupts the normal gliding motion of
the tendon as it moves through the sheath. This interference contributes to the trademark bent
position of an affected finger. If the tendon sheath remains irritated for an extended period of time, it
can lead to thickening, scarring, and bumps that further impede

Factor Analysis Magimid
Magidson et. al (2016)'s purpose was to make the Factor Analysis more straightforward and
accessible to clinicians of varying perspectives. Factor Analysis aims to understand the aspects of
certain problem behavior. In order to move forward, the problem behavior must be identified. Then
the focus moves on to the triggers and figuring out the context of what happened right before the
behavior occurred. This is known as the proximal trigger and is what is typically focused on.
However, Magidson et. al. (2016) states that in order to better understand the cause of the behavior
it is also important to look at the recent and distal triggers, which are the ongoing stressors and past
situations. Once the triggers are established the patient is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

al. (2016) provides a straightforward guide to implementing Factor Analysis. However, while
reading a few questions and criticisms did arise. First, is how Factor Analysis would help assess
potentially dangerous behavior such as severe self–injury. It can be hard to evaluate this kind of
behavior if it is not allowed to occur frequently. Magidson et. al. (2016) states that Factor Analysis is
used to pinpoint reliable relationships between the patient's natural environment and behavior. So
even though Factor Analysis examines naturally occurring behavior, such a severe problem behavior
might cause redirection which can cause interpretation to be bias. Thus, while conducting Factor
Analysis it can be challenging to have conditions in which problem behavior may increase but at the
same time have the risk minimized. Another critique is the possibility of limited assessment time. If
the contact with the client is limited whether it be because they are an outpatient or some other
factor then it can be very difficult to assess change over time and see if Factor analysis is actually
effective. It can also be difficult to make progress if time is cut short before the patient has time to
reflect upon the causes of their behavior. Lastly, Factor Analysis might not be so effective if the
patient keeps avoiding the main problem behavior. Magidson et. al. (2016) states that it is important
to acknowledge that the patient may not want to do a difficult Factor Analysis so they should warm
up with a smaller problem behavior. However, it is possible that the patient will be reluctant and
unwilling to face the behavior that is truly problematic. It is not possible to force someone who does
not want to change a certain behavior to sit there and genuinely reflect upon it. Another reason for
avoidance could possibly be fear of bringing up a traumatic event. When looking for the triggers it is
possible for a distal trigger to bring up strong emotions and traumatic memories.

Feathers in the Wind I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for the final time. I attempted to

composite that made up the gun never felt colder, even on a hot summer's day like today. The world

Essay About Training For Dogs
Start Leash Training for Dogs With These Tips
Some people would think that dogs innately know how to behave when they are leashed.
Unfortunately, this is one of the many struggles of some dog owners. Although there are breeds that
can easily just surrender themselves to be leashed, some breeds may just want to have their freedom.
However, there will always come a time that your dog needs to be on a leash, particularly when you
want to go outdoors and make sure that your four–legged body would not be accidentally hit by a
car or just get lost from too much curiosity of the environment.
Training your dog to walk on a leash may not be as easy, despite being so gentle with your pet. Here
are a few tips that can help you train your dogs to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A bolt snap clip has a small spring inside a shaft that slides open to create a hole to let the collar ring
pass through. This is more commonly used, however, after using the clip for a long time can result
in loosing of the spring which can let your dog escape. A trigger snap clip, on the other hand, is
bigger and more robust. Therefore, between the two clips, the trigger snap clip is more reliable.
Steps on How to Train Your Dog with a Leash
It is best to start leash training while your dog is just a few months old. This way, puppies are much
easier to train.
1. Once you have chosen the right leash, take your time in training your dog. Get your dog familiar
having a collar around its neck. Never try to force it on the dog in situations where your dog is
fearful or having tantrums. You can slip it on while your dog is busy playing. Make sure that the
collar is snug enough, but not too tight that could make your dog uncomfortable.
In time, your dog will feel comfortable having the collar and leash on him.
2. If your dog scratches on the collar, it may mean that he is getting uncomfortable. This is normal.
Instead of taking it out, make him busy by playing with him so he forgets about having to scratch
the collar.
3. Let your dog run around with the leash on his collar. This will slowly make him comfortable and
would easily associate having the leash during his playtime. So, the next time he sees you holding
the leash, instead of

Trigger Warnings Examples
Trigger warnings are being enforced around America in hopes of improving the way college
students learn. Trigger warnings originated on the internet as a way to flag certain material that
could be harmful to others. Many professors are now pushing for trigger warnings as a way to warn
students that ideas within their material could offend or emotionally harm them. While they are
being implemented across the country, their effects on students are proving to be more harmful than
helpful because they often hinder students' education rather than further develop it. Applying trigger
warnings may cause professors to choose to negatively alter their material in order to attempt to
teach it without offending his or her students. In the article "Survey ... Show more content on

They allow a colleges to coddle students. One instance of this can come from the article "Con:
'Trigger Warnings' Impose Censorship in the Name of Sensitivity." Donald A. Downs, author and
professor of political science, law, and journalism at the University of Wisconsin, explains how
trigger warnings can negatively affect students. Downs states, "Education should expose students to
the depths of the human condition, which unavoidably involves matters of good and evil, life and
death. He then claims, "Trigger warnings assume that many students are not capable of handling the
responsibilities of adult citizenship." Students cannot possibly be expected to mentally or
emotionally grow when they are constantly being sheltered from the real world and all of its
sometimes painful disputes. Trigger warnings cater to the sensitive students and grant them no room
to grow up on their own. Many colleges are being overwhelmed by the positive effects that may
come with trigger warnings, they should heavily consider the negative ones as well. Enforcing
trigger warnings in hopes of furthering college education would unleash a surge of flaws into a
school. Though trigger warnings may have few upsides, if put into action they will prove themselves
to be destructive to a school's learning

  • 9. Triggers Triggers are something that people deal with on a daily basis. Utilizing negative verbiage about someone's ethnicity or ability due to disability induces many triggers. Having a daughter of a mixed descent creates a heighten sense of protection. This is due to ignorance of individuals that speak without thinking of the effects of their speech. While some people do not care, children and the disabled have diminished ability to protect themselves and will internalize what has been said to them as facts. Personally, I take most hatred spoken in general with a grain of salt and disregard it because I believe that it is spoken by someone that probably angry with themselves. However, when it comes to my child, I have mixed feelings. This is due to the fact I try to respond without emotion, because the ignorance of the minority do not necessarily represent the feelings of the majority. • 11. Trigger Warning Trigger warnings and the underlying issue In the essay 'The Coddling of the American Mind', Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt argue trigger warnings are hindering the learning experience in college. While this is true it goes farther than just that, there is an epidemic of a certain mentality spreading across the United States. This mentality is that everyone is deserving of content warnings, whether it be graphic, on paper, or ideas in a discussion everywhere they go. This is a terrible mentality to have, because it breeds an underlying issue. The issue at hand is a psychological issue that can be treated over time. The issue's severity depends on what the person wants a trigger warning for. In the extreme cases, there are completely unreasonable demands for warnings because it could be too common, there would be too many warnings, while in other cases it is more reasonable but still should not become the norm of society. If trigger warnings become the norm for the world it would cause harm to individuals' minds and society. To begin with, what is a trigger warning or content warning? Both trigger warnings and content warnings can be used in place of one another because they stand for the same thing. A trigger warning is a warning that means there is a topic or idea that will be discussed or shown visually that could cause stress to some people. These can range from reasonable topics such as rape, abuse, or death. Those topics rarely come up in day to day conversations and contain some of the worst acts a human can do, and it is reasonable to offer trigger warnings for these topics. It is not acceptable, however, to require these warnings on everyone that talks about these topics. On the other extreme some people could claim to have been offended at ordinary topics that show up in daily conversation. A short story in Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt's paper was about a professor, Francis Schmidt, that had received a suspension from a harmless action. This action was that he posted a picture of his daughter on Facebook, who happened to be wearing a shirt with a Game of Thrones quote. A student took this as a threat and complained to the school, how is a trigger warning supposed to be put on that? This is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I examined Gavin's face. Fear, guilt and regret was written all over it. He ran over to the lifeless body and attempted to bring it back to life. No luck. Narrative Essay: The Death Of Adelburger The punch, combined with the added force that came from the spiked knuckles attached to his dagger, was enough to bring Zee down on the ground, resulting in her to drop her weapon as it fell down the stairs toward where Harold and Margaret helplessly stood. Once she was on the ground, his dagger pointing downwards, the Adelburger swiftly proceeded to stab directly into Zee's heart, before pulling out a pistol, a custom made Sig Sauer P220 chambered for .38 Super, to finish her off. Thankfully, he was shot by Harold, killing him in the process. Knowing that they had to kill off the other Adelburger before his fellow Kameraden continued slaughtering the Coven conscripts, Margaret led the way and ran up the stairs with Harold following her from behind. As she entered the room, she fired from the hip and shot two Adelburgers who were waiting for her and Harold. Sensitivity to discrimination or topics that are found offensive/traumatizing, has heightened causing a major shift in how people interact on a day to day basis. The effects of this revolution of sorts can be seen especially on the internet and in spaces of academia. Buzzwords like microaggression and trigger warnings are now frequently heard in college classrooms and have raised questions about the ability of professors to effectively teach and prepare their students for the real world. When somebody is triggered, they could have painful memories, flashbacks, and panic attacks. Trigger warnings were originally used on websites for a while, initially on feminist websites and now trigger warnings are coming to college classrooms. If a student was to become triggered while in the classroom, they would be excused from class, no points would be taken away from the student's grade, and they could ask for an alternative assignment. The Coddling Of The American Mind In Lukianoff and Haidt's essay, "The Coddling of the American Mind," the authors contend today's college students want to be protected from any words that might harm them. The authors argue doing so harms them in other ways. After reading the article I concur with the author's views on colleges coddling students who are offended by words or small actions is doing more harm than good. The article covered the issues in detail and gave many examples of the conception before the 1980's when children could roam free in the world with less worry for parents to where next generation who had more protective parents because of the increase of kidnappings, removal of physical activities in school, school shootings, and bullying after the 1980's.The authors discuss how coddling is not good for students, society, the workplace, government or the future. Coddling removes cognitive thinking and the use of good critical thinking skills. Coddling will force students to think with emotion instead of logic. Society will not always bend over backwards to appease ones feelings or change to make someone feel comfortable. Thinking with emotions can create a fog that can hinder ones view of reality. The coddling issue is leading the current generation who protest books or specific words that may be offensive to them and others. Bad Habits Developed Over Time A habit, by definition, is an act which is repeated by a person without the individual being aware that they are continuously displaying or committing that certain behavior. There are many bad habits a person can develop over time. Some of these could include having a drug habit, an eating disorder, or many other undesirable behaviors. These negative habits can all be broken and could lead to positive outcomes if they were to be broken successfully. Many of the habits considered to be bad require a person to make specific changes in their life in order to conquer said habit. There are a plethora of different steps and/or tasks that can be used to assist a person with the daunting task of breaking an unwanted habit. One of the first steps that must be completed by a person wanting to end a habit they believe to be detrimental is to acknowledge the action and to be aware of their situation. In some instances, this requires the person in question to admit that they exhibit problematic behavior because of the habit they have. The act of admitting that their actions lead them to repeat negative acts or thoughts because of their habit is essential to eliminating it. With this in mind, an individual must be aware of an issue before it can be resolved. Hyperalgesic spots that refer to pain and lie within connective tissues or muscles are known as trigger points (Wittink & Michel, 2002). Trigger points are typically found at the bony attachments and are more common within the muscles of the neck, shoulder and the pelvic girdle. Myofascial trigger points are commonly found in patients with musculoskeletal pain (Kalichman & Vulfsons, 2010). They signify the distribution of sarcoplasmic reticulum of the muscle fibres (Bron & Domerholt, 2012). Cummings & White (2001) have defined Myofascial trigger points as "pain arising from one or more myofascial trigger points (MTrPs), which are hyperirritable spots in skeletal muscle that are associated with hypersensitive palpable nodules in taut ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The motor endplate noise is a distinctive characteristic of trigger points and indicates how irregular motor end plates achieve. Motor end plate noise is from low–amplitude discharges (10–50 UV) within the taut band, whether or not the trigger points square measure is painful or not. Intermittent high–amplitude discharges (up to five hundred UV) square measure are seen in painful trigger points (Simons et al., 2002). Manual techniques such as active and passive are two treatments that aid the process in releasing a trigger point (Wai–Leung, 2010). The simplest variability of active release is stretching. Slow sustained stretches are more effective at releasing trigger–point tightness than fast transient stretches, this is often a result of the sarcomeres as it takes time to be released, as a result of the "stickiness" of its molecules. However, as soon as the muscle relaxes, the sarcomere incorporates a tendency to return to its previous state (Chesterton, 2007). A series of contract–relax is more practical in re–setting the length. The patient stretches the muscles to increase and extend the sarcomeres, then actively contracts the antagonist muscles to take up the slack. This additionally brings about reciprocal–inhibition therapy, that facilitates the release of the muscle being elongated (Wai–Leung, 2010). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Commonly referred to as myofascial trigger points in the medical profession, these locations on your body are a common cause of discomfort and pain. These areas commonly produce referred pain, meaning that pain from this area can be found in other muscle groups and joints away from the source of the pain itself. This intense pain can come from a variety of sources, including bad posture, excess weight, physical injury or stress, joint problems, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and even poor sleep. Students have been at odds sometimes because of trigger warnings. The debate on whether or not to implicate them in a classroom setting is the main topic of the argument. I side with the argument that people should use trigger warning for an upcoming topic. Students do go to college to learn and given that there stressors that go along with college, giving a trigger warning is not bad at all. This serves as a reminder that people do care about whatever situation that the student that is affected is going through. (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 109) of the feedback they have received. Becoming an effective leader requires hard work, passion, and the mastery of human relation skills that make the providing and receiving of feedback easier and more meaningful. The road to receiving feedback well is a continuous highway whose only mile–markers are the progress beyond being beholden to the three triggers identified in Stone?s and Heen?s article, Difficult Conversations 2.0. Truth triggers are an emotional response where the recipient chooses to ?focus on what 's wrong with the feedback? (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 72). This decision to reject feedback simply because part of it is incorrect?or perceived to be incorrect?prohibits a person from evaluating the fit of the feedback and acting on the applicable, useful parts. (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 72) and seek more concrete and definitive examples to better understand the feedback. Per Stone and Heen (2014), a relationship trigger comes about when the recipient focuses on who is delivering the feedback rather than what is being said. The relationship trigger tends to arise when the receiver believes the giver either does not have the proper level of insight to give the feedback or they distrust the motives and authority of the deliverer (Stone and Heen, 2014, p. 73). ... Use Of Trigger Point Dry Needling Introduction Trigger point dry needling (TDN) is a treatment in which practitioners insert thin, sterile filiform needles into patients for the purpose of pain relief by stimulating underlying myofascial trigger points, muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. This technique is not only used for the management of neuromuscular pain relief, but it is also used to treat movement impairments and dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue. Dry needling is also implemented in clinical practice for the purpose of reducing and eventually restoring impairments of body structure and function (American Physical Therapy Association [APTA], 2013). These purposes for dry needling eventually lead to improved activity and function ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Janet Travell, M.D. and Dr. David Simons, M.D., called the Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: Trigger Point Manual. The studies of dry needling as a pain relief modality by Travell and Simons began in the 1940s, but were published in this manual much later in1992 and edited in 1999 for the manual's second edition. In this book, Dr. Travell and Simons introduce this new term of dry needling in order to differentiate between two techniques of trigger point therapy. They used wet needling, which referred to the injection of a local anesthetic using a hypodermic needle, and they also used this new technique of dry needling, which referred to the insertion of the hypodermic needle into the myofascial trigger point without the injection of any medication or anesthetic (Travell, Simons & Simons, 1999). Myofascial trigger points, colloquially referred to as "knots", are classified as hyperirritable spots within a taut band of contracted skeletal muscle fibers that produce local and/or referred pain when stimulated (APTA, 2013). In the infancy of their studies, Travell and Simons preferred the use of the hypodermic needle and never used filiform needles. They believed that the filiform needle was too thin and not strong enough for dry needling; preference was given to the hypodermic needle because of its superior strength and the tactile feedback that it provided at the time. We are not hypersensitive to everything instead it is because we can obtain information so easily today that we as students fear that power. We learn about all these different things that can potentially hurt or offend some people on the internet so we try to not use this power. Thus, this forms a group of words that are regarded as taboo in society because they can trigger the emotions of others Thus, trigger warnings were created to help provide students on campus a safe space to not be affected by society, but is that good for the students? Recently, an article called "The Coddling of the American Mind" by Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt states, "Trigger warnings are alerts that professors are expected to issue if something in a course might cause a strong emotional response" (Lukianoff 1). In their article, they counter the idea of trigger warning stating that avoiding or using trigger warnings would not help students instead we should help them slowly adapt to these extreme situations and word choice because they will not move on from that issue unless addressed. While another article, "The Trigger Warning Myth" by Aaron R. Hanlon redefines trigger warnings as something that should be use in a college setting because professors uses trigger warnings to remind the students the graphic content of the course. • 69. Trigger Finger Case Study Overview Trigger finger, sometimes called trigger thumb, is a condition that locks a person's finger into a bent position. Sometimes the finger will then snap straight out, similar to the way a trigger is pulled and released. It happens when inflammation causes the space around the sheath that protects the tendon to narrow. In severe cases, the finger cannot be straightened out. The irritation and inflammation associated with trigger finger disrupts the normal gliding motion of the tendon as it moves through the sheath. This interference contributes to the trademark bent position of an affected finger. If the tendon sheath remains irritated for an extended period of time, it can lead to thickening, scarring, and bumps that further impede ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 74. Factor Analysis Magimid Magidson et. al (2016)'s purpose was to make the Factor Analysis more straightforward and accessible to clinicians of varying perspectives. Factor Analysis aims to understand the aspects of certain problem behavior. In order to move forward, the problem behavior must be identified. Then the focus moves on to the triggers and figuring out the context of what happened right before the behavior occurred. This is known as the proximal trigger and is what is typically focused on. However, Magidson et. al. (2016) states that in order to better understand the cause of the behavior it is also important to look at the recent and distal triggers, which are the ongoing stressors and past situations. Once the triggers are established the patient is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... al. (2016) provides a straightforward guide to implementing Factor Analysis. However, while reading a few questions and criticisms did arise. First, is how Factor Analysis would help assess potentially dangerous behavior such as severe self–injury. It can be hard to evaluate this kind of behavior if it is not allowed to occur frequently. Magidson et. al. (2016) states that Factor Analysis is used to pinpoint reliable relationships between the patient's natural environment and behavior. So even though Factor Analysis examines naturally occurring behavior, such a severe problem behavior might cause redirection which can cause interpretation to be bias. Thus, while conducting Factor Analysis it can be challenging to have conditions in which problem behavior may increase but at the same time have the risk minimized. Another critique is the possibility of limited assessment time. If the contact with the client is limited whether it be because they are an outpatient or some other factor then it can be very difficult to assess change over time and see if Factor analysis is actually effective. It can also be difficult to make progress if time is cut short before the patient has time to reflect upon the causes of their behavior. Lastly, Factor Analysis might not be so effective if the patient keeps avoiding the main problem behavior. Magidson et. al. (2016) states that it is important to acknowledge that the patient may not want to do a difficult Factor Analysis so they should warm up with a smaller problem behavior. However, it is possible that the patient will be reluctant and unwilling to face the behavior that is truly problematic. It is not possible to force someone who does not want to change a certain behavior to sit there and genuinely reflect upon it. Another reason for avoidance could possibly be fear of bringing up a traumatic event. When looking for the triggers it is possible for a distal trigger to bring up strong emotions and traumatic memories. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The steel and carbonate composite that made up the gun never felt colder, even on a hot summer's day like today. The world seemed to stop spinning and there was nothing but silence. Make sure that the collar is snug enough, but not too tight that could make your dog uncomfortable. In time, your dog will feel comfortable having the collar and leash on him. 2. If your dog scratches on the collar, it may mean that he is getting uncomfortable. This is normal. Instead of taking it out, make him busy by playing with him so he forgets about having to scratch the collar. 3. Let your dog run around with the leash on his collar.
