Abstract
The anatomy of an Labeo umbratus specimen, found in the Krugersdrif dam, was studied.
Annotations of the positions of the internal organs as well as the external morphological
characteristics were made. Upon further analysis, several characteristics were identified that would
have eased life in aquatic environments. Some of these characteristics include, sensory receptors
located on the head as well as on the lateral view of the body, the shape of the fish, specialised,
paired appendages, respiratory structures as well as structures aiding the fish in buoyancy. The way

Personal Reflection
This week, I meet with my study group two times this week and we did a study guide for everyone
to study from. Also, this week I frequently study each day and went to the library to study. I am little
bit nervous about this test, because the information is so much, and I am having problem
concentrating on the major and key concepts, however, I will have realized and focused on my test.
This week, I visited Sandy and she showed me few tips how to tackle nclex question. Also, this
week I hired a private tutor to help prepared for the test. Furthermore, this weekend, I will not work
and eradicate going out with my friend and family. My goal for this week is to achieve 94 or above
on this test. I went online this week and did several Nclex questions on quiz let and did a lot of
practice test.
Currently, I am still having difficulty answering select all that apply question. I have reviewed
several online but unfortunately these tips are not helping. I am so sorry that these select all that
apply question will impact my score significantly. I have practiced repeatedly but I have failed to
gather strategies' that will increase my ability to approach the test question and I will need help
tackle these questions. This weekend I will try to do 50 or above select all that apply to see if it will
help me transform my struggle into a success. Furthermore, this week it was hard to understand the
lab instructor because they seem to be inconsistent with the teaching material,

My Love For Medicine
Throughout my life, there have been several important experiences which have influenced my desire
to pursue medicine. These include having a potentially cancerous mole on my ankle at the age of
three, my love for science and academics beginning in elementary school, the desire to help people,
giving back to the community, and to be a role model for others in the pursuit of their own dreams.
Although not one of these experiences in itself led to my pursuit of medicine, I believe they all have
influenced me in a way that compelled me to obtain a greater desire for the study of medicine. Had
one of these memories not existed, I may not be in the same position as I am today with applying to
medical schools. Nonetheless, I have known since a young age that medicine was going to be the
right choice for me, whether through my love of it or through intuition, but there were several

What went wrong
As with other PA faculties, you may be aware of the general complaints made by the first year PA
students about the Anatomy course. I do know my classmates were affected different; however,
these were my own personal challenges with the Anatomy course:
Disorganization of course material o Class reading assignments did not match Lecture o Lecture
PowerPoints were not provided despite request from several students. It was usually provided a
couple of days before the test. This shortened the time to study, memorize and focus on the
necessary anatomical structures.
Lack of guidance on how to study the information presented
– As recommended during the PA orientation, I read the assigned readings for my courses; however,
for anatomy, this exercise quickly became futile only because it did not contribute to helping to
understand lectures provided in class. With voluminous reading assignments, many times, the
anatomy lecture focused little or none from the information in the textbook. Lectures mostly
presented anatomical structures and so focus on images were paramount. Therefore, the reading did
little to help understand lecture material if one is not familiar enough with the anatomical structures.
While this was the case, the PowerPoints with the anatomical structures were not provided.
Insufficient & consistent guidance in the Anatomy Cadaver lab
– Initially there was no tutoring and/or review sessions for the lab. Many of us were confused and

Tellico Dam serves to divert water through a short canal into Fort Loudon. This dam being built is
very good for trout and bass fishing. In the 1950's thousands of dams were being built then in 1970's
they decided to build a dam. In the Little Tennessee River. Its length was 3,238 feet its height was

My Experience With Medical School
Medical school has been a life long dream of mine, but what sets me apart from others are the
lessons learned within my life experiences. The first steps of this dream occurred when I was 8 years
old having just arrived to the United States. Ms. Cole was an energetic and caring third grade
teacher, who introduced me to a computer, painting and how to take care of a fish, but most
importantly the idea of becoming something I want to be. I made friends and overcame the language
barrier with her support and guidance along with realizing I could become a doctor through her push
and motivation.
Fast–forward to fall 2009 when I first attended Wayne State University, where I grew as a person
and student in this different environment. It was the next four years that would teach me the words:
responsibility, compassion, and patience. I learned the word 'responsibility' as I controlled when I

lot of accomplishments that changed the world. He was born on January 23, 1919, in Vienna,
Austria and died on June 16, 2013 in Vienna Austria. Hans was one of the first people to use an
underwater camera to capture underwater life. In 1937 he learned goggling. Hass joined the military,
but in 1942–1945 he left it due to circulatory conditions in his foot. After he left the military Hans
hass continued his underwater research. A cone snail, Protoconus HansHassi, was named after him.
