Service Commission (SSC) Officer for Male & Women in Indian Army
The Indian Army is looking for a few good Men and Women. For the best and the
brightest among you. For men/ women with intellect, idealism, and courage.
Applications are invited from unmarried/ married male and unmarried female or
widow of defence candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the
Indian Army. The NCC holders will become SSc officers in Indian Army.

55 vacancies [50 posts for male (Gen-45, Wards of Battle Casualties-5) and 05 posts for Women (Gen-4, Wards of Battle Casualties-
1)
Age
Not below 19 years and not over 25 years (not born earlier than 02 January 1995 and not later than 01 January 2001) as on
01/01/2020
Selection Criteria for 47th NCC Entry in Army
The Criteria of NCC 'C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for SSC (Non-Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai
: (i) Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into
account marks of all years. (ii) Service in NCC: Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division of NCC
(iii) Grading: Should have a minimum of 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC.
Pay Scale & Stipend
A stipend of training is ₹56100/- during the training is 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai. On completion, they will be commissioned as Lt in
the pay scale of 7th CPC Pay Level-10 ₹56100-177500.
Method of Selection
All Applications in the prescribed format will be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/GP HQs
will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to Hq DG NCC. On arrival at the SSB, the
Shortlisted candidates will be administered stage-1 of the two stage testing procedure.
Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children for academic session 2019-20
Government of India launched a scheme called "Scholarship Programme for
Diaspora Children" (SPDC), in the academic year 2006-2007, for the wards of
Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to assist them in
pursuing Under Graduate courses in Indian Universities/Institutes.
Under SPDC scheme financial assistance for specific undergraduate courses in
Professional and Non-Professional courses (except Medical and related courses)is
provided towards tuition fee, admission fee and post admission services. The
scheme is applicable to NRIs and PIOs from 66 countries.
Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC)
Ministry of External Affairs of India awards 150 scholarships to children (studying in
India) of PIOs/NRIs and Indian workers working in ECR countries, with a monthly
gross income of the parents being not more than US$4000.
The scholarship amount would be 75% of the total Institutional Economic Cost
(IEC) subject to a maximum of US$4000 per annum which would be borne by
Government of India under this Scheme covering following institutions: -
NITs, IITs, Schools of Planning and Architecture
‘A’ Grade institutions accredited by NAAC and recognised by UGC
Central Universities of India
Other institutions covered under DASA Scheme
All eligible may apply for the scholarship accordingly under the Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children scheme. Before
