I am asking for 2 sets of hands on Mondays and Thursdays to carry it to our building.Attendance: Please be sure to have it entered in Powerschool by 8:30.Forms: Make sure that all students in your homeroom have submitted enrollment, lunch, media release, and extended day forms. Phones: Let’s agree to not answer calls from blocked numbers. The Week Ahead6-7/8 Grade team meetings have been cancelled for this week while I try to assist Extended Day folks with transitions. If you have any pressing concerns please email them to me and I will attempt to address them on Thursday during our whole team time, 3:15 in my office.Friday who school in Cafeteria We are still focusing on procedures, systems and routinesBe sure to continue to review and model for students. As we will continue to get new students, it is imperative that we PRACTICE all expected behaviors. (it is not enough to tell the students)Future Projects and PlanningTuesday celebrations: Tomorrow we are back outside, the tournament continues and I will have another cold/sweet thing. I need to have as many people outside with celebrations as possible so that I can help inside. We are planning on pulling celebration kids at 2:50 so they do not interrupt the “flow” of extended day. Homeroom teachers: You DO NOT need to report outside in the morning until 7:40. Special education, TA, Co-teachers and City Year folks are needed outside at 7:30. Since we will have reduced numbers of support in the morning teachers it is imperative that you are on time.Positive Support: Let’s get positive. Need ideas? Raffle tickets? Holla!Students who have been absent submit excuse to teachers who will submit forms to the Ms. Anan ( I will follow up to clarify exactly how she wants these)Stairway reminder: Please be sure to only use the appropriate designated stairwell with your classes (except for when practicing fire drill) and redirect students who are headed in the wrong direction. Lesson Plans are due by hard copy in binder Monday morning and electronically by Monday morning as well. Don’t forget to send them to the special education teachers who are working with you! Any classroom requests for workbooks, supplies, equipment, repairs, etc need to be submitted Electronically to lramirez@renewschools.orgReview the systems we have created. Do not undermine the power of a system, your position and/or your authority!!!Be sure you are calling parents. If kids are making it to silent lunch, detention, BI etc. we should not be the only folks reaching out to the families. Make sure you are recording communication on your communication logs. This is extremely important.Uniforms: If you become aware of students who need uniform assistance let me know.
