learning styles and disabilities in their teaching strategies. Schools that provide for Special

Creative Writing Reflection Essay
In this class, Creative Writing, we learned twelve different rules for writing. I felt that each rule,
except for two, were important and could help, not only with writing, but in school, work, and life.
We had writing projects due weekly and, in class, we traded papers so we could edited each others
work.We also made a Google Docs and collaboratively wrote stories in groups of three to five
people. My group is writing a murder mystery on a cruise ship. With this project I learned more
about what it is like to work in a group. We haven't had any issues but it's interesting how the vision
you have for your character changes when other people write your character into their section. Most
of the twelve rules for writing helped improve each assignment and any writing I will be doing in
the future.
I found the first rule: "Every word counts," useful and I liked the 100 word assignment that goes
along with this rule. With that assignment I learned that if you don't need a word take it out. As
Mark Twain once said: "Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very'; your editor will
delete it and the writing will be just as it should be." I guess he didn't like the word 'very'. I also
learned to use more precise words. As C.S. Lewis once said: "Don't use words too big for the
subject. Don't say 'infinitely' when you mean 'very' [damn]; otherwise you'll have no word left when

User Requirements
The user of the computer suite will be students completing their advanced apprenticeships (AA) and
wish to make an E Portfolio with all of their work on it. To achieve this I have chosen to use an
online office package available from OneDrive. This will make the students information more
secure as thy can save to an online storage space that is included in the package. The whole package
is free and the students can work on their AA from whatever location they want to when they log

Just like a four year old on Christmas morning, I waited in the booksale line my sophomore year
eager to receive my newest toy. I quickly ran through the registration lines, so quickly that nearly
forgot to take my ID picture. Alas, a Glenbrook South student handed a large, white cardboard box
with the contents I had been anticipating all summer. It was Christmas in August. In the
evolutionary era of technology, schools have become increasingly dependent on the usage of
internet and computers. As teachers are provided with more and more online resources for
instructing, it only makes sense for students to follow. Along with other local elementary schools,
Glenbrook South dipped its toes in the technology era with the initial implementation of Smart
Boards and other classroom technology in over years past. In the 2013–2014 school year, Glenbrook
South decided to fully submerge into the pool to begin the ChromeBook program. Each student
would be required to pay a portion of the cost for the Samsung ChromeBook computer each year for

General assessment will be done by all the learners on each electronic presentation based on the
rubric with a final assessment by the educator.
Where, when & how will assessment take place The learners will be required to do the
assessment task during class, as an electronic presentation that needs to be completed by the end of
the lesson and copied onto the Z drive.
This assessment will take place on the 10th April and learners were informed of the assessment after
the completion of the PowerPoint module a week earlier.

Learners have done several practical example exercises with regards to creating PowerPoint

Each learner will be required to complete the internet research and electronic presentation on their
