2. Difficulties With Outside Filming
When filming outside I encountered many different difficulties including the
brightness being to high, or the light being too dark etc. Therefore when
coming to edit my footage on InDesign I had to play around with the effects.
Therefore to get the correct lighting on many of my outdoor footage I had to
play around with the contrast, brightness etc. This wasn’t too difficult when
editing on InDesign as everything was pretty straight forward however on
some of my footage it made it pixelated and out of focus and therefore lead
me with no other choice but to reshot my footage.
Furthermore when filming in the dark I sometimes found it difficuilt to adjust
the lighting accordingly. This was because I used red heads which are
extremely bright. Therefore if they weren’t adjusted correctly in the
appropriate position it would lead to my artists face being to bright or being
too dark. Similarly if the red head was not placed in the right place it would
produce a shadow behind my artist, and this is something I didn’t want due to
being very difficult when coming to edit it out. Therefore this was a time
consuming process when finding the correct level of lighting.
3. Continued…
Other than the outside filming I didn’t have too many serious difficulties due
to only filming internally and externally. Therefore I didn’t encounter any
green screen problems as this was a resource I didn’t want to use in my
narrative. However I am aware if I did use this I may have came across many
potential problems such as a shadow on the backdrop, adding picture and
word effects onto the background etc.
Therefore I am happy that I didn’t use green screen as I can tell it would have
been a very time consuming process and would have made me become very
stressed due to all the effects and editing needing to be done in order to look
professional.
