• Minimize cost of material handling.
• Production of cost effective brick with waste
materials without compromising the strength,
durability and comfort and elegance of
materials.

• Need for Alternate Materials
• In the situation when the production of
traditional materials cannot be increased to
rates for all sections of the society.

5. • Substitutes also help in reducing the cost thus
bringing the materials at affordable .
• Match the demand for holding the price level it
becomes necessary to search for substitutes
without compromise on performance and
durability of the material.

6. ADVANTAGES
• Economical (Raw material is easily available).
• Hard and durable.
• Compressive strength is good enough for
ordinary construction.
• Reduce the amount of waste and its disposal
will be effectively maintained.

7. • Very low maintenance cost is required.
• Demolishing of these brick structures is very
easy, less time consuming.
• Highly fire resistant.
• Produces less environmental pollution during
manufacturing process.

8. TECHNOLOGY USED
• High compressive strength brick is made
using plastic .
• Highly economical , eco friendly bricks with
minimum physical damage can be made using
glass and clay bricks .

9. • High load bearing and cost effective brick can
be made using fly ash.

10. • Bricks with better structural, thermal and
acoustic properties can be made using rice
husk ash.
