2. Brandon's evaluation
I was given a task with my chosen group to create a short horror film called the devil's playground our first storyline we made did not
meet the requirements that we thought would be available to us so we all decided to change the whole storyline and change the film
completely meaning the characters had to be changed around and we had to use other people from a different group as one of my group
members wasn't in to film for 5 days. Another thing that wasn't very good was the microphone as it was broken so instead we had to use
the camera which picked up a lot of background noise while we were filming we also couldn't use locations that we needed. What we did
well was create another storyline very quickly that was much better than our original idea the way we filmed them was much better as
we got more ideas along the way and when we started to edit our new film we added music, a title screen and started to cut the bad
shots out of our film making it even better.
In the original idea my role was to be the killers friend and help him kidnap the person and i only had two lines meaning my character
was very limited to what he can do but in the new idea my role was to be a friend of someone who got murdered i had more lines more
actions to do during the film making my character better and maybe more interesting.
In our film we met all the requirements we were given in our brief as our evidence we put all of our work we done during the film on our
blogs the things that we should have improved on is the time as we didn't use it very well when we had it and maybe the mic as it would
have made the sound better for our film. In the end i think it went pretty well as we managed to finish the film with all these difficulties.
3. Gabe’s evaluation
I was given a task to make a short film called the devil's playground. We first came up of a storyline but we was unable to use it because
it didn't meet all of the requirements we had to meet. So then we had to create a new storyline and it was a huge change from our first
idea. Then we had another problem our main character could not come in whilst we was filming so we had to make some big changes to
your specification so we had to get another main character. Another issue we had was with the microphone, this was because the
microphone we was using was broken so we had to use the onboard microphone and it kept picking up background noise and this was
an issue. Another problem we had was we was filming in a open school and some of the rooms we had to film was already occupied by
other students so we had to compromise with different locations.
The things that want well in our short film is that we filmed some very good shots and this allowed us to be able to edit this film very
well. We also had some very good acting in the film what also helped us for our film and to edit this we also filmed each scene multiple
times so we could get different angles and see how we could improve and this helped us with editing.
In our film we had met all of the requirement we was given in our brief, all of our coursework shows of the information we need for our
production of your short film. And this is the paperwork we need to be able to make our film.
My opinion of our short film is that he could of made it much better if we had the support of everyone in our group and if we had more
time to create more scenes. But the footage we have got is good for our short film and our story line is very accurate with what he had
filmed.
