2. He was born on October 19th, 1969 in Conifer,
Colorado.
Trey Parker was an actor, animator, producer,
screen writer and director.
He studied at the University of Colorado, where
he also met his creative partner and best friend
Matt Stone. They worked together to produce
South Park.
3. Influences
In third grade, he got into and was inspired by
the comedy Monty Python. From viewing this
program he was influenced by Terry Gilliam, who
was part of the Monty Python troupe.
At the age of fourteen his father bought him a
video camera, which he used with a group of
friends to produce short films on the weekends.
4. Techniques
For the production of South Park he used
traditional cut paper stop motion, to give it an
effect unlike any other television program.
Similar programs such as The Simpsons and
Family Guy are also created through computer
animated stop motion.
