3. Techniques
Rotoscoping is an animation technique in which animators trace over footage,
frame by frame, for use in live-action and animated films.Originally, recorded live-action
film images were projected onto a frosted glass panel and re-drawn by an
animator. This projection equipment is called a rotoscope, although this device
was eventually replaced by computers.
In the visual effects industry, the term rotoscoping refers to the technique of
manually creating a matte for an element on a live-action plate so it may be
composited over another background.
Feature length is motion picture terminology referring to the length of a feature
film. According to the rules of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, a
feature length motion picture must have a running time of more than 40 minutes
to be eligible for an Academy Award
4. Much funnier than it has any right to be, and
filled with just enough inside jokes to please
longtime fans of the cartoon franchise.
Scooby doo
Scooby-Doo knows when to take itself
seriously and when to laugh at itself -- even if
its audience isn't laughing along at every gag.
What really makes this movie special is
Matthew Lillard's inspired performance as
Shaggy. It's not only a dead-on impersonation
of the cartoon character, but it also comes with
a certain kind of unique joy and a genuine
soul.
...Watchable and mercifully short. Wow, what a
ringing endorsement.
