2. PHOTOSHOP
Through my research into magazine poster adverts for
music products, I found that the sizes of the adverts
may vary depending on the status of the publication
and the success of the artist.
For this reason I have decided I will produce each size
poster for my music product as each could be used in
a different publication.
The full page advert would have the most effect as it is
automatically more eye catching and engages the
audience, it also allows for more information as there
is more space available.
3. POSTERS
I have used Photoshop to create my posters to
advertise my music product in a magazine. The
publication most likely to be published in would be Q
or Vibe as these are in the same genre as my artist
and they’re not they will appeal to the same
audience as my artist. Equally they are of a similar
status to that of my artist.
I began by editing the photo and the background to
create the same effect as some successful posters
created by other artists, while still using my artists
iconography and style.
4. FULL PAGE POSTER
• My first advert is a full page one, this would be the most expensive to publish.
I decided to use the image from the cover of the album as this would be more
recognizable to the audience and creates continuity, continuity has also been
created by using the same colour scheme and themes.
• The image of the digipak cover is also shown. The artists name and the album
name are shown, as well as the release date and a review. These are all
conventions of a magazine advert.
5. HALF PAGE POSTER
My half page poster follows the same style of the rest of the media
products I have created, allowing for continuity so my audience will
associate the products with each other. It uses the same images and
features as the full page advert.
However this advert would be more affordable as it is a smaller one and
is less eye caching to an audience.
The effects look simplistic and effective, they are relatable to the
audience and use the artists iconography creating him a brand for the
audience to interpret and idealize.
6. QUARTER PAGE VERTICAL POSTER
This advert is considerably smaller and
much less eye catching for an audience.
It uses the same images, themes, and text
as the other adverts although it has less
content due to a restricted space.
This advert would be less successful for the
artists work as less people would see it and
be engaged, however it does still show the
artists brand and it shows the digipak
cover so if an audience saw the advert,
they would still know what it was for.
7. QUARTER PAGE HORIZONTAL POSTER
This is the advert as a quarter page again, but
horizontally this time. It is much smaller than
some of the other adverts so has less content
but it is still however showing the album and
the release date which are both the main
features of an advert.
It doesn't’t have enough room to show the
artist himself or have too many images, so it
is important to be effective with the space
available and show the audience what is
necessary.
