2. • We believed the storyline would attract our target
audience of 12-25 as we tried to add a sense of realism
to it. They storyline is about a Limbo who is transported
into his own game and has to fight his way out after
saying something which he later regrets.
• The game that Limbo is transported into would appeal to
young audiences as they often have wild imaginations
and we tried to appeal to it but we also made put strong
values on son and dad relationship such as the problems
between the two at the beginning of the film but also how
sorry Limbo is at the end of the film towards his dad. This
would appeal to families who may be possibly be taking
there children to see the film as it is a 12A.
3. • The props which were used in the opening sequence of
the film add to the feel of a teenagers room such as a
large flat screen TV which he is playing the game
through, PS4 controller with a headset so he can speak
to his friend and comic books scattered all over the floor.
These have all been put in place to show the lifestyle of a
teenager such as they are messy and play to much
games along which teenagers who will be watching can
relate to these props as they would own it and use it on a
regular basis and can be a attractive reason for them to
watch the film to see how teenagers are portrayed in the
film.
4. • The main location of our opening sequence is Limbo
bedroom which is filled with props which are associated
with teenagers such as messy clothes on the floor along
with a TV and PS4. The reason we chose a bedroom
instead of somewhere in the house such as the living
room is because we know that teenagers spend more
time inside there bedroom as that is where everything is
such as all their gadgets and is their own which is in
some cases they don’t have to share with anyone else as
compared to the living room which is more a family room.
The location adds to the realism which makes it more
relatable to the target audience.
5. • We chose our cast specifically so that it would appeal to
the audience by using ethnic minority's such as for the
lead role of Limbo we casted a black person which we
don’t see much off in this genre apart from Hancock and
the Blade trilogy which were both successful due to the
lead actor Will Smith and Wesley Snipes. This added to
the appeal of the film and one of the features which we
hope will attract audience to watch it.
• The helper in the film is Li who is of Chinese ethnic
background which is a change of the roles that they are
usually in such as the lead or as a villain. This helps to
make the cast more diverse and appealing due to the
current superhero films featuring a predominantly white
ensemble.
