Filters are tested using a filter test rig to determine their mechanical integrity and ability to withstand high pressure conditions similar to engine lubrication systems. The rig includes a digital temperature indicator, pressure gauges, a stainless steel top plate with drainage pipe, a powder coated steel frame and cover, adjustable threaded fixtures to test different filters, and a safety enclosure with transparent sheet to view tests. The rig allows testing filters to ISO and SAE HS 806 standards for hydrostatic burst pressure.
